Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(20)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(21)時鄔陀夷善解逆相預識人情。知彼男女欲行非法。(22)即為女說法共相惱亂。由詣俗家事及婬煩惱。(23)制斯學處。(24)若復苾芻知有食家強安坐者。波逸底迦。(25)言知者。識彼人心欲行交會。有食家者。(26)女是男之食。男是女之食。(27)謂男女行交會時更相受用。故名有食。強安坐者。(28)不問舍主自縱己心。故云強坐。此中犯者。(29)謂彼男女各有婬心契合。此時欲行交會。苾芻染心強為說法。(589c1)以妨其事令他瞋恨。在座坐時。便得墮罪。(2)有食有食想六句同前。若天女及半稚迦等。(3)咸得惡作。為賊所逐避難潛形。(4)無婬染心者無犯。
