Note on the transliteration:
The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:
We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

References:

The references of the Sanskrit text are to page and line in Prahlad Pradhan (1967). The Sanskrit e-text is downloaded from Gretil as entered by Paul Hackett and Dan Lusthaus, and the parsing and page-line numbering are also theirs with few changes. Hackett and Lusthaus invite corrections to their text, and we are doing our best. The Chinese versions have references to page, paragraph and line in T. 1558 (translation by Xuánzàng 玄奘) and T. 1559 (translation by Paramārtha 真諦). Tibetan references are to page, side and line in Derge Tg vol. ku and khu (translation by Jinamitra and dPal brtsegs rakṣita). The complete Sanskrit text is input, and with the two Chinese translations and the Tibetan, we completed Chapter II in July 2015. From December 2015 the two Chinese translations are in place for Chapter III, and we are now working on completing Chapter III with Tibetan, and have also started the work on Chapter IV, as well as the Uighur fragment, which starts here.
