א. זֶה סֵפֶר תּוֹלְדֹת אָדָם בְּיוֹם בְּרֹא אֱלֹהִים אָדָם בִּדְמוּת אֱלֹהִים עָשָׂה אֹתוֹ:

αὕτη ἡ βίβλος γενέσεως ἀνθρώπων ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Αδαμ κατ᾽ εἰκόνα θεοῦ ἐποίησεν αὐτόν

Hic est liber generationis Adam. In die qua creavit Deus homi nem, ad similitudinem Dei fecit illum.

1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

ב. זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה בְּרָאָם וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם וַיִּקְרָא אֶת שְׁמָם אָדָם בְּיוֹם הִבָּרְאָם:

ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἐποίησεν αὐτοὺς καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτούς καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῶν Αδαμ ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐποίησεν αὐτούς

Masculum et feminam creavit eos et benedixit illis; et vocavit nomen eorum Adam in die, quo creati sunt.

2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

ג. וַיְחִי אָדָם שְׁלשִׁים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בִּדְמוּתוֹ כְּצַלְמוֹ וַיִּקְרָא אֶת שְׁמוֹ שֵׁת:

ἔζησεν δὲ Αδαμ διακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν κατὰ τὴν ἰδέαν αὐτοῦ καὶ κατὰ τὴν εἰκόνα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Σηθ

Vixit autem Adam centum triginta annis et genuit ad similitudinem et imaginem suam vocavitque nomen eius Seth.

3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:

ד. וַיִּהְיוּ יְמֵי אָדָם אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת שֵׁת שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת:

ἐγένοντο δὲ αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Σηθ ἑπτακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

Et facti sunt dies Adam, postquam genuit Seth, octingenti anni, genuitque filios et filias.

4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

ה. וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל יְמֵי אָדָם אֲשֶׁר חַי תְּשַׁע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וּשְׁלשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת:

καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ ἃς ἔζησεν ἐννακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

Et factum est omne tempus, quod vixit Adam, anni nongenti triginta, et mortuus est.

5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

ו. וַיְחִי שֵׁת חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת אֱנוֹשׁ:

ἔζησεν δὲ Σηθ διακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενως

Vixit quoque Seth centum quinque annos et genuit Enos.

6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:

ז. וַיְחִי שֵׁת אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת אֱנוֹשׁ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת:

καὶ ἔζησεν Σηθ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενως ἑπτακόσια καὶ ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

Vixitque Seth, postquam genuit Enos, octingentis septem annis genuitque filios et filias.

7 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:

ח. וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל יְמֵי שֵׁת שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת:

καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Σηθ ἐννακόσια καὶ δώδεκα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

Et facti sunt omnes dies Seth nongentorum duodecim annorum, et mortuus est.

8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

ט. וַיְחִי אֱנוֹשׁ תִּשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת קֵינָן:

καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως ἑκατὸν ἐνενήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Καιναν

Vixit vero Enos nonaginta annis et genuit Cainan.

9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:

י. וַיְחִי אֱנוֹשׁ אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת קֵינָן חֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת:

καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Καιναν ἑπτακόσια καὶ δέκα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

Et vixit Enos, postquam genuit Cainan, octingentis quindecim annis et genuit filios et filias.

10 And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:

יא. וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל יְמֵי אֱנוֹשׁ חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת:

καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενως ἐννακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

Factique sunt omnes dies Enos nongentorum quinque annorum, et mortuus est.

11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.

יב. וַיְחִי קֵינָן שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת מַהֲלַלְאֵל:

καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαλελεηλ

Vixit quoque Cainan septuaginta annis et genuit Malaleel.

12 And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel:

יג. וַיְחִי קֵינָן אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת:

καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαλελεηλ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

Et vixit Cainan, postquam genuit Malaleel, octingentos quadraginta annos genuitque filios et filias.

13 And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:

יד. וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל יְמֵי קֵינָן עֶשֶׂר שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת:

καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Καιναν ἐννακόσια καὶ δέκα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

Et facti sunt omnes dies Cainan nongenti decem anni, et mortuus est.

14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.

טו. וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת יָרֶד:

καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιαρεδ

Vixit autem Malaleel sexaginta quinque annos et genuit Iared.

15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:

טז. וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת יֶרֶד שְׁלשִׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת:

καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ιαρεδ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

Et vixit Malaleel, postquam genuit Iared, octingentis triginta annis et genuit filios et filias.

16 And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:

יז. וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל יְמֵי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת:

καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαλελεηλ ὀκτακόσια καὶ ἐνενήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

Et facti sunt omnes dies Malaleel octingenti nonaginta quinque anni, et mortuus est.

17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.

יח. וַיְחִי יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת חֲנוֹךְ:

καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενωχ

Vixitque Iared centum sexaginta duobus annis et genuit Henoch.

18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:

יט. וַיְחִי יֶרֶד אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת חֲנוֹךְ שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת:

καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενωχ ὀκτακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

Et vixit Iared, postquam genuit Henoch, octingentos annos et genuit filios et filias.

19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

כ. וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל יְמֵי יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת:

καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ιαρεδ ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

Et facti sunt omnes dies Iared nongenti sexaginta duo anni, et mortuus est.

20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.

כא. וַיְחִי חֲנוֹךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת מְתוּשָׁלַח:

καὶ ἔζησεν Ενωχ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαθουσαλα

Porro Henoch vixit sexaginta quinque annis et genuit Mathusalam.

21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

כב. וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנוֹךְ אֶת הָאֱלֹהִים אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת מְתוּשֶׁלַח שְׁלשׁ מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת:

εὐηρέστησεν δὲ Ενωχ τῷ θεῷ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαθουσαλα διακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

Et ambulavit Henoch cum Deo, postquam genuit Mathusalam, trecentis annis et genuit filios et filias.

22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

כג. וַיְהִי כָּל יְמֵי חֲנוֹךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁלשׁ מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה:

καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενωχ τριακόσια ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη

Et facti sunt omnes dies Henoch trecenti sexaginta quinque anni,

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

כד. וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנוֹךְ אֶת הָאֱלֹהִים וְאֵינֶנּוּ כִּי לָקַח אֹתוֹ אֱלֹהִים:

καὶ εὐηρέστησεν Ενωχ τῷ θεῷ καὶ οὐχ ηὑρίσκετο ὅτι μετέθηκεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεός

ambulavitque cum Deo et non apparuit, quia tulit eum Deus.

24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

כה. וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח שֶׁבַע וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד אֶת לָמֶךְ:

καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Λαμεχ

Vixit quoque Mathusala centum octoginta septem annos et genuit Lamech.

25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech.

כו. וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמוֹנִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת:

καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Λαμεχ ὀκτακόσια δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

Et vixit Mathusala, postquam genuit Lamech, septingentos octoginta duos annos et genuit filios et filias.

26 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:

כז. וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל יְמֵי מְתוּשֶׁלַח תֵּשַׁע וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת:

καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαθουσαλα ἃς ἔζησεν ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἐννέα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

Et facti sunt omnes dies Mathusalae nongenti sexaginta novem anni, et mortuus est.

27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

כח. וַיְחִי לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בֵּן:

καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα ὀκτὼ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱὸν

Vixit autem Lamech centum octoginta duobus annis et genuit filium

28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:

כט. וַיִּקְרָא אֶת שְׁמוֹ נֹחַ לֵאמֹר זֶה יְנַחֲמֵנוּ מִמַּעֲשֵׂנוּ וּמֵעִצְּבוֹן יָדֵינוּ מִן הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר אֵרֲרָהּ יְהֹוָה:

καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Νωε λέγων οὗτος διαναπαύσει ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν λυπῶν τῶν χειρῶν ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἧς κατηράσατο κύριος ὁ θεός

vocavitque nomen eius Noe dicens: “Iste consolabitur nos ab operibus nostris et labore manuum nostrarum in agro, cui maledixit Dominus”.

29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

ל. וַיְחִי לֶמֶךְ אַחֲרֵי הוֹלִידוֹ אֶת נֹחַ חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד בָּנִים וּבָנוֹת:

καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Νωε πεντακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας

Vixitque Lamech, postquam genuit Noe, quingentos nonaginta quinque annos et genuit filios et filias.

30 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

לא. וַיְהִי כָּל יְמֵי לֶמֶךְ שֶׁבַע וְשִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת:

καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Λαμεχ ἑπτακόσια καὶ πεντήκοντα τρία ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν

Et facti sunt omnes dies Lamech septingenti septuaginta septem anni, et mortuus est.

31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.

לב. וַיְהִי נֹחַ בֶּן חֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה וַיּוֹלֶד נֹחַ אֶת שֵׁם אֶת חָם וְאֶת יָפֶת:

καὶ ἦν Νωε ἐτῶν πεντακοσίων καὶ ἐγέννησεν Νωε τρεῖς υἱούς τὸν Σημ τὸν Χαμ τὸν Ιαφεθ

Noe vero, cum quingentorum esset annorum, genuit Sem, Cham et Iapheth.

32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
