Ησαυ δὲ ἔλαβεν γυναῖκας ἑαυτῷ ἀπὸ τῶν θυγατέρων τῶν Χαναναίων τὴν Αδα θυγατέρα Αιλων τοῦ Χετταίου καὶ τὴν Ελιβεμα θυγατέρα Ανα τοῦ υἱοῦ Σεβεγων τοῦ Ευαίου

Esau accepit uxores de filiabus Chanaan: Ada filiam Elon Hetthaei et Oolibama filiam Ana filii Sebeon Horraei;

2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;

ג. וְאֶת בָּשְׂמַת בַּת יִשְׁמָעֵאל אֲחוֹת נְבָיוֹת:

καὶ τὴν Βασεμμαθ θυγατέρα Ισμαηλ ἀδελφὴν Ναβαιωθ

Basemath quoque filiam Ismael sororem Nabaioth.

3 And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.

ד. וַתֵּלֶד עָדָה לְעֵשָׂו אֶת אֱלִיפָז וּבָשְׂמַת יָלְדָה אֶת רְעוּאֵל:

ἔτεκεν δὲ Αδα τῷ Ησαυ τὸν Ελιφας καὶ Βασεμμαθ ἔτεκεν τὸν Ραγουηλ

Peperit autem Ada Eliphaz, Basemath genuit Rahuel,

4 And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;

ה. וְאָהֳלִיבָמָה יָלְדָה אֶת יְעוּשׁ וְאֶת יַעְלָם וְאֶת קֹרַח אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי עֵשָׂו אֲשֶׁר יֻלְּדוּ לוֹ בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן:

καὶ Ελιβεμα ἔτεκεν τὸν Ιεους καὶ τὸν Ιεγλομ καὶ τὸν Κορε οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ησαυ οἳ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ ἐν γῇ Χανααν

Oolibama genuit Iehus et Ialam et Core. Hi filii Esau, qui nati sunt ei in terra Chanaan.

5 And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.

ו. וַיִּקַּח עֵשָׂו אֶת נָשָׁיו וְאֶת בָּנָיו וְאֶת בְּנֹתָיו וְאֶת כָּל נַפְשׁוֹת בֵּיתוֹ וְאֶת מִקְנֵהוּ וְאֶת כָּל בְּהֶמְתּוֹ וְאֵת כָּל קִנְיָנוֹ אֲשֶׁר רָכַשׁ בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן וַיֵּלֶךְ אֶל אֶרֶץ מִפְּנֵי יַעֲקֹב אָחִיו:

ἔλαβεν δὲ Ησαυ τὰς γυναῖκας αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας καὶ πάντα τὰ σώματα τοῦ οἴκου αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντα τὰ ὑπάρχοντα καὶ πάντα τὰ κτήνη καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐκτήσατο καὶ ὅσα περιεποιήσατο ἐν γῇ Χανααν καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐκ γῆς Χανααν ἀπὸ προσώπου Ιακωβ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ

Tulit autem Esau uxores suas et filios et filias et omnes animas domus suae et pecora armenta et cuncta, quae acquisierat in terra Chanaan, et abiit in terram Seir; recessitque a fratre suo Iacob.

6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.

ז. כִּי הָיָה רְכוּשָׁם רָב מִשֶּׁבֶת יַחְדָּו וְלֹא יָכְלָה אֶרֶץ מְגוּרֵיהֶם לָשֵׂאת אֹתָם מִפְּנֵי מִקְנֵיהֶם:

ἦν γὰρ αὐτῶν τὰ ὑπάρχοντα πολλὰ τοῦ οἰκεῖν ἅμα καὶ οὐκ ἐδύνατο ἡ γῆ τῆς παροικήσεως αὐτῶν φέρειν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ πλήθους τῶν ὑπαρχόντων αὐτῶν

Divites enim erant valde et simul habitare non poterant; nec sustinebat eos terra peregrinationis eorum prae multitudine gregum.

7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.

ח. וַיֵּשֶׁב עֵשָׂו בְּהַר שֵׂעִיר עֵשָׂו הוּא אֱדוֹם:

ᾤκησεν δὲ Ησαυ ἐν τῷ ὄρει Σηιρ Ησαυ αὐτός ἐστιν Εδωμ

Habitavitque Esau in monte Seir. Ipse est Edom.

8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

ט. וְאֵלֶּה תֹּלְדוֹת עֵשָׂו אֲבִי אֱדוֹם בְּהַר שֵׂעִיר:

αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις Ησαυ πατρὸς Εδωμ ἐν τῷ ὄρει Σηιρ

Hae autem sunt generationes Esau patris Edom in monte Seir,

9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:

י. אֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי עֵשָׂו אֱלִיפַז בֶּן עָדָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו רְעוּאֵל בֶּן בָּשְׂמַת אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו:

καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ησαυ Ελιφας υἱὸς Αδας γυναικὸς Ησαυ καὶ Ραγουηλ υἱὸς Βασεμμαθ γυναικὸς Ησαυ

et haec nomina filiorum eius: Eliphaz filius Ada uxoris Esau, Rahuel quoque filius Basemath uxoris eius.

10 These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.

יא. וַיִּהְיוּ בְּנֵי אֱלִיפָז תֵּימָן אוֹמָר צְפוֹ וְגַעְתָּם וּקְנַז:

ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Ελιφας Θαιμαν Ωμαρ Σωφαρ Γοθομ καὶ Κενεζ

Fueruntque Eliphaz filii: Theman, Omar, Sepho et Gatham et Cenez.

11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.

יב. וְתִמְנַע הָיְתָה פִילֶגֶשׁ לֶאֱלִיפַז בֶּן עֵשָׂו וַתֵּלֶד לֶאֱלִיפַז אֶת עֲמָלֵק אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי עָדָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו:

Θαμνα δὲ ἦν παλλακὴ Ελιφας τοῦ υἱοῦ Ησαυ καὶ ἔτεκεν τῷ Ελιφας τὸν Αμαληκ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Αδας γυναικὸς Ησαυ

Erat autem Thamna concubina Eliphaz filii Esau, quae peperit ei Amalec. Hi sunt filii Ada uxoris Esau.

12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.

יג. וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי רְעוּאֵל נַחַת וָזֶרַח שַׁמָּה וּמִזָּה אֵלֶּה הָיוּ בְּנֵי בָשְׂמַת אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו:

οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ραγουηλ Ναχοθ Ζαρε Σομε καὶ Μοζε οὗτοι ἦσαν υἱοὶ Βασεμμαθ γυναικὸς Ησαυ

Filii autem Rahuel: Nahath et Zara, Samma et Meza; hi filii Basemath uxoris Esau.

13 And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.

יד. וְאֵלֶּה הָיוּ בְּנֵי אָהֳלִיבָמָה בַת עֲנָה בַּת צִבְעוֹן אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו וַתֵּלֶד לְעֵשָׂו אֶת יְעוּשׁ וְאֶת יַעְלָם וְאֶת קֹרַח:

οὗτοι δὲ ἦσαν υἱοὶ Ελιβεμας θυγατρὸς Ανα τοῦ υἱοῦ Σεβεγων γυναικὸς Ησαυ ἔτεκεν δὲ τῷ Ησαυ τὸν Ιεους καὶ τὸν Ιεγλομ καὶ τὸν Κορε

Isti erant filii Oolibama filiae Ana filii Sebeon uxoris Esau, quos genuit ei: Iehus et Ialam et Core.

14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

טו. אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי בְנֵי עֵשָׂו בְּנֵי אֱלִיפַז בְּכוֹר עֵשָׂו אַלּוּף תֵּימָן אַלּוּף אוֹמָר אַלּוּף צְפוֹ אַלּוּף קְנַז:

οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες υἱοὶ Ησαυ υἱοὶ Ελιφας πρωτοτόκου Ησαυ ἡγεμὼν Θαιμαν ἡγεμὼν Ωμαρ ἡγεμὼν Σωφαρ ἡγεμὼν Κενεζ

Hi duces filiorum Esau. Filii Eliphaz primogeniti Esau: dux Theman, dux Omar, dux Sepho, dux Cenez,

15 These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,

טז. אַלּוּף קֹרַח אַלּוּף גַּעְתָּם אַלּוּף עֲמָלֵק אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי אֱלִיפַז בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדוֹם אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי עָדָה:

ἡγεμὼν Κορε ἡγεμὼν Γοθομ ἡγεμὼν Αμαληκ οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Ελιφας ἐν γῇ Ιδουμαίᾳ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Αδας

dux Core, dux Gatham, dux Amalec. Hi duces Eliphaz in terra Edom; hi filii Ada.

16 Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.

יז. וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי רְעוּאֵל בֶּן עֵשָׂו אַלּוּף נַחַת אַלּוּף זֶרַח אַלּוּף שַׁמָּה אַלּוּף מִזָּה אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי רְעוּאֵל בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדוֹם אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי בָשְׂמַת אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו:

καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ραγουηλ υἱοῦ Ησαυ ἡγεμὼν Ναχοθ ἡγεμὼν Ζαρε ἡγεμὼν Σομε ἡγεμὼν Μοζε οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Ραγουηλ ἐν γῇ Εδωμ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Βασεμμαθ γυναικὸς Ησαυ

Hi filii Rahuel filii Esau: dux Nahath, dux Zara, dux Samma, dux Meza. Hi duces Rahuel in terra Edom; isti filii Basemath uxoris Esau.

17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.

יח. וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי אָהֳלִיבָמָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו אַלּוּף יְעוּשׁ אַלּוּף יַעְלָם אַלּוּף קֹרַח אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי אָהֳלִיבָמָה בַּת עֲנָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו:

οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ελιβεμας γυναικὸς Ησαυ ἡγεμὼν Ιεους ἡγεμὼν Ιεγλομ ἡγεμὼν Κορε οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Ελιβεμας

Hi filii Oolibama uxoris Esau: dux Iehus, dux Ialam, dux Core. Hi duces Oolibama filiae Ana uxoris Esau.

18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.

יט. אֵלֶּה בְנֵי עֵשָׂו וְאֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵיהֶם הוּא אֱדוֹם:

οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ησαυ καὶ οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες αὐτῶν οὗτοί εἰσιν υἱοὶ Εδωμ

Isti sunt filii Esau et hi duces eorum. Ipse est Edom.

19 These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.

כ. אֵלֶּה בְנֵי שֵׂעִיר הַחֹרִי ישְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ לוֹטָן וְשׁוֹבָל וְצִבְעוֹן וַעֲנָה:

οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Σηιρ τοῦ Χορραίου τοῦ κατοικοῦντος τὴν γῆν Λωταν Σωβαλ Σεβεγων Ανα

Isti sunt filii Seir Horraei habitatores terrae: Lotan et Sobal et Sebeon et Ana

20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,

כא. וְדִשׁוֹן וְאֵצֶר וְדִישָׁן אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי הַחֹרִי בְּנֵי שֵׂעִיר בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדוֹם:

καὶ Δησων καὶ Ασαρ καὶ Ρισων οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες τοῦ Χορραίου τοῦ υἱοῦ Σηιρ ἐν τῇ γῇ Εδωμ

et Dison et Eser et Disan; hi duces Horraei filii Seir in terra Edom.

21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

כב. וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי לוֹטָן חֹרִי וְהֵימָם וַאֲחוֹת לוֹטָן תִּמְנָע:

ἐγένοντο δὲ υἱοὶ Λωταν Χορρι καὶ Αιμαν ἀδελφὴ δὲ Λωταν Θαμνα

Facti sunt autem filii Lotan: Hori et Hemam; erat autem soror Lotan Thamna.

22 And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.

כג. וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי שׁוֹבָל עַלְוָן וּמָנַחַת וְעֵיבָל שְׁפוֹ וְאוֹנָם:

οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Σωβαλ Γωλων καὶ Μαναχαθ καὶ Γαιβηλ Σωφ καὶ Ωμαν

Et isti filii Sobal: Alvan et Manahath et Ebal, Sepho et Onam.

23 And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.

כד. וְאֵלֶּה בְנֵי צִבְעוֹן וְאַיָּה וַעֲנָה הוּא עֲנָה אֲשֶׁר מָצָא אֶת הַיֵּמִם בַּמִּדְבָּר בִּרְעֹתוֹ אֶת הַחֲמֹרִים לְצִבְעוֹן אָבִיו:

καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Σεβεγων Αιε καὶ Ωναν οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ Ωνας ὃς εὗρεν τὸν Ιαμιν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὅτε ἔνεμεν τὰ ὑποζύγια Σεβεγων τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ

Et hi filii Sebeon: Aia et Ana. Iste est Ana, qui invenit aquas calidas in solitudine, cum pasceret asinos Sebeon patris sui.

24 And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.

כה. וְאֵלֶּה בְנֵי עֲנָה דִּשֹׁן וְאָהֳלִיבָמָה בַּת עֲנָה:

οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ανα Δησων καὶ Ελιβεμα θυγάτηρ Ανα

Habuitque filium Dison et filiam Oolibama.

25 And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.

כו. וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי דִישָׁן חֶמְדָּן וְאֶשְׁבָּן וְיִתְרָן וּכְרָן:

οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Δησων Αμαδα καὶ Ασβαν καὶ Ιεθραν καὶ Χαρραν

Et isti filii Dison: Hemdan et Eseban et Iethran et Charran.

26 And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

כז. אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי אֵצֶר בִּלְהָן וְזַעֲוָן וַעֲקָן:

οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ασαρ Βαλααν καὶ Ζουκαμ καὶ Ιωυκαμ καὶ Ουκαν

Hi filii Eser: Bilhan et Zavan et Iacan.

27 The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.

כח. אֵלֶּה בְנֵי דִישָׁן עוּץ וַאֲרָן:

οὗτοι δὲ υἱοὶ Ρισων Ως καὶ Αραμ

Habuit autem filios Disan: Us et Aran.

28 The children of Dishan are these; Uz, and Aran.

כט. אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי הַחֹרִי אַלּוּף לוֹטָן אַלּוּף שׁוֹבָל אַלּוּף צִבְעוֹן אַלּוּף עֲנָה:

οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Χορρι ἡγεμὼν Λωταν ἡγεμὼν Σωβαλ ἡγεμὼν Σεβεγων ἡγεμὼν Ανα

Isti duces Horraeorum: dux Lotan, dux Sobal, dux Sebeon, dux Ana,

29 These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,

ל. אַלּוּף דִּשֹׁן אַלּוּף אֵצֶר אַלּוּף דִּישָׁן אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי הַחֹרִי לְאַלֻּפֵיהֶם בְּאֶרֶץ שֵׂעִיר:

ἡγεμὼν Δησων ἡγεμὼν Ασαρ ἡγεμὼν Ρισων οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Χορρι ἐν ταῖς ἡγεμονίαις αὐτῶν ἐν γῇ Εδωμ

dux Dison, dux Eser, dux Disan; isti duces Horraeorum secundum tribus eorum in terra Seir.

30 Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.

לא. וְאֵלֶּה הַמְּלָכִים אֲשֶׁר מָלְכוּ בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדוֹם לִפְנֵי מְלָךְ מֶלֶךְ לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל:

καὶ οὗτοι οἱ βασιλεῖς οἱ βασιλεύσαντες ἐν Εδωμ πρὸ τοῦ βασιλεῦσαι βασιλέα ἐν Ισραηλ

Reges autem, qui regnaverunt in terra Edom, antequam haberent regem filii Israel, fuerunt hi.

31 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.

לב. וַיִּמְלֹךְ בֶּאֱדוֹם בֶּלַע בֶּן בְּעוֹר וְשֵׁם עִירוֹ דִּנְהָבָה:

καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Εδωμ Βαλακ υἱὸς τοῦ Βεωρ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Δενναβα

Regnavit in Edom Bela filius Beor, nomenque urbis eius Denaba.

32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

לג. וַיָּמָת בָּלַע וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו יוֹבָב בֶּן זֶרַח מִבָּצְרָה:

ἀπέθανεν δὲ Βαλακ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ Ιωβαβ υἱὸς Ζαρα ἐκ Βοσορρας

Mortuus est autem Bela, et regnavit pro eo Iobab filius Zarae de Bosra.

33 And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

לד. וַיָּמָת יוֹבָב וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו חֻשָׁם מֵאֶרֶץ הַתֵּימָנִי:

ἀπέθανεν δὲ Ιωβαβ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ Ασομ ἐκ τῆς γῆς Θαιμανων

Cumque mortuus esset Iobab, regnavit pro eo Husam de terra Themanorum.

34 And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.

לה. וַיָּמָת חֻשָׁם וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו הֲדַד בֶּן בְּדַד הַמַּכֶּה אֶת מִדְיָן בִּשְׂדֵה מוֹאָב וְשֵׁם עִירוֹ עֲוִית:

ἀπέθανεν δὲ Ασομ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ Αδαδ υἱὸς Βαραδ ὁ ἐκκόψας Μαδιαμ ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ Μωαβ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Γεθθαιμ

Hoc quoque mortuo, regnavit pro eo Adad filius Badad, qui percussit Madian in regione Moab; et nomen urbis eius Avith.

35 And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

לו. וַיָּמָת הֲדָד וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו שַׂמְלָה מִמַּשְׂרֵקָה:

ἀπέθανεν δὲ Αδαδ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ Σαμαλα ἐκ Μασεκκας

Cumque mortuus esset Adad, regnavit pro eo Semla de Masreca.

36 And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

לז. וַיָּמָת שַׂמְלָה וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו שָׁאוּל מֵרְחֹבוֹת הַנָּהָר:

ἀπέθανεν δὲ Σαμαλα καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ Σαουλ ἐκ Ροωβωθ τῆς παρὰ ποταμόν

Hoc quoque mortuo, regnavit pro eo Saul de Rohoboth iuxta fluvium.

37 And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

לח. וַיָּמָת שָׁאוּל וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו בַּעַל חָנָן בֶּן עַכְבּוֹר:

ἀπέθανεν δὲ Σαουλ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ Βαλαεννων υἱὸς Αχοβωρ

Cumque et hic obiisset, successit in regnum Baalhanan filius Achobor.

38 And Saul died, and Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

לט. וַיָּמָת בַּעַל חָנָן בֶּן עַכְבּוֹר וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו הֲדַר וְשֵׁם עִירוֹ פָּעוּ וְשֵׁם אִשְׁתּוֹ מְהֵיטַבְאֵל בַּת מַטְרֵד בַּת מֵי זָהָב:

ἀπέθανεν δὲ Βαλαεννων υἱὸς Αχοβωρ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ Αραδ υἱὸς Βαραδ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Φογωρ ὄνομα δὲ τῇ γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ Μαιτεβεηλ θυγάτηρ Ματραιθ υἱοῦ Μαιζοοβ

Isto quoque mortuo, regnavit pro eo Adad, nomenque urbis eius Phau; et appellabatur uxor eius Meetabel filia Matred filiae Mezaab.

39 And Baalhanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

מ. וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת אַלּוּפֵי עֵשָׂו לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לִמְקֹמֹתָם בִּשְׁמֹתָם אַלּוּף תִּמְנָע אַלּוּף עַלְוָה אַלּוּף יְתֵת:

ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἡγεμόνων Ησαυ ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν κατὰ τόπον αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς χώραις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν ἡγεμὼν Θαμνα ἡγεμὼν Γωλα ἡγεμὼν Ιεθερ

Haec ergo nomina ducum Esau in cognationibus et locis et vocabulis suis: dux Thamna, dux Alva, dux Ietheth,

40 And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,

מא. אַלּוּף אָהֳלִיבָמָה אַלּוּף אֵלָה אַלּוּף פִּינֹן:

ἡγεμὼν Ελιβεμας ἡγεμὼν Ηλας ἡγεμὼν Φινων

dux Oolibama, dux Ela, dux Phinon,

41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

מב. אַלּוּף קְנַז אַלּוּף תֵּימָן אַלּוּף מִבְצָר:

ἡγεμὼν Κενεζ ἡγεμὼν Θαιμαν ἡγεμὼν Μαζαρ

dux Cenez, dux Theman, dux Mabsar,

42 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

מג. אַלּוּף מַגְדִּיאֵל אַלּוּף עִירָם אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי אֱדוֹם לְמשְׁבֹתָם בְּאֶרֶץ אֲחֻזָּתָם הוּא עֵשָׂו אֲבִי אֱדוֹם:

ἡγεμὼν Μεγεδιηλ ἡγεμὼν Ζαφωιμ οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Εδωμ ἐν ταῖς κατῳκοδομημέναις ἐν τῇ γῇ τῆς κτήσεως αὐτῶν οὗτος Ησαυ πατὴρ Εδωμ

dux Magdiel, dux Iram. Hi duces Edom habitantes in terra imperii sui. Ipse est Esau pater Idumaeorum.

43 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.
