ב. וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹוָה אֵלַי אַל תִּירָא אֹתוֹ כִּי בְיָדְךָ נָתַתִּי אֹתוֹ וְאֶת כָּל עַמּוֹ וְאֶת אַרְצוֹ וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתָ לְסִיחֹן מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי אֲשֶׁר יוֹשֵׁב בְּחֶשְׁבּוֹן:

καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με μὴ φοβηθῇς αὐτόν ὅτι εἰς τὰς χεῖράς σου παραδέδωκα αὐτὸν καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ καὶ ποιήσεις αὐτῷ ὥσπερ ἐποίησας Σηων βασιλεῖ τῶν Αμορραίων ὃς κατῴκει ἐν Εσεβων

Dixitque Dominus ad me: Ne timeas eum: quia in manu tua traditus est cum omni populo ac terra sua: faciesque ei sicut fecisti Sehon regi Amorrhæorum, qui habitavit in Hesebon.

2 And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.

ג. וַיִּתֵּן יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ בְּיָדֵנוּ גַּם אֶת עוֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן וְאֶת כָּל עַמּוֹ וַנַּכֵּהוּ עַד בִּלְתִּי הִשְׁאִיר לוֹ שָׂרִיד:

καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτὸν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν εἰς τὰς χεῖρας ἡμῶν καὶ τὸν Ωγ βασιλέα τῆς Βασαν καὶ πάντα τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπατάξαμεν αὐτὸν ἕως τοῦ μὴ καταλιπεῖν αὐτοῦ σπέρμα

Tradidit ergo Dominus Deus noster in manibus nostris etiam Og regem Basan, et universum populum ejus: percussimusque eos usque ad internecionem,

3 So the LORD our God delivered into our hands Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.

ד. וַנִּלְכֹּד אֶת כָּל עָרָיו בָּעֵת הַהִוא לֹא הָיְתָה קִרְיָה אֲשֶׁר לֹא לָקַחְנוּ מֵאִתָּם שִׁשִּׁים עִיר כָּל חֶבֶל אַרְגֹּב מַמְלֶכֶת עוֹג בַּבָּשָׁן:

καὶ ἐκρατήσαμεν πασῶν τῶν πόλεων αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ οὐκ ἦν πόλις ἣν οὐκ ἐλάβομεν παρ᾽ αὐτῶν ἑξήκοντα πόλεις πάντα τὰ περίχωρα Αργοβ βασιλείας Ωγ ἐν Βασαν

vastantes cunctas civitates illius uno tempore. Non fuit oppidum, quod nos effugeret: sexaginta urbes, omnem regionem Argob regni Og in Basan.

4 And we took all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

ה. כָּל אֵלֶּה עָרִים בְּצֻרֹת חוֹמָה גְבֹהָה דְּלָתַיִם וּבְרִיחַ לְבַד מֵעָרֵי הַפְּרָזִי הַרְבֵּה מְאֹד:

πᾶσαι πόλεις ὀχυραί τείχη ὑψηλά πύλαι καὶ μοχλοί πλὴν τῶν πόλεων τῶν Φερεζαίων τῶν πολλῶν σφόδρα

Cunctæ urbes erant munitæ muris altissimis, portisque et vectibus, absque oppidis innumeris, quæ non habebant muros.

5 All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.

ו. וַנַּחֲרֵם אוֹתָם כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשִׂינוּ לְסִיחֹן מֶלֶךְ חֶשְׁבּוֹן הַחֲרֵם כָּל עִיר מְתִם הַנָּשִׁים וְהַטָּף:

ἐξωλεθρεύσαμεν αὐτούς ὥσπερ ἐποιήσαμεν τὸν Σηων βασιλέα Εσεβων καὶ ἐξωλεθρεύσαμεν πᾶσαν πόλιν ἑξῆς καὶ τὰς γυναῖκας καὶ τὰ παιδία

Et delevimus eos, sicut feceramus Sehon regi Hesebon, disperdentes omnem civitatem, virosque ac mulieres et parvulos:

6 And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.

ז. וְכָל הַבְּהֵמָה וּשְׁלַל הֶעָרִים בַּזּוֹנוּ לָנוּ:

καὶ πάντα τὰ κτήνη καὶ τὰ σκῦλα τῶν πόλεων ἐπρονομεύσαμεν ἑαυτοῖς

jumenta autem et spolia urbium diripuimus.

7 But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

ח. וַנִּקַּח בָּעֵת הַהִוא אֶת הָאָרֶץ מִיַּד שְׁנֵי מַלְכֵי הָאֱמֹרִי אֲשֶׁר בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן מִנַּחַל אַרְנֹן עַד הַר חֶרְמוֹן:

καὶ ἐλάβομεν ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ τὴν γῆν ἐκ χειρῶν δύο βασιλέων τῶν Αμορραίων οἳ ἦσαν πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἀπὸ τοῦ χειμάρρου Αρνων καὶ ἕως Αερμων

Tulimusque illo in tempore terram de manu duorum regum Amorrhæorum, qui erant trans Jordanem: a torrente Arnon usque ad montem Hernon,

8 And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon;

ט. צִידֹנִים יִקְרְאוּ לְחֶרְמוֹן שִׂרְיֹן וְהָאֱמֹרִי יִקְרְאוּ לוֹ שְׂנִיר:

οἱ Φοίνικες ἐπονομάζουσιν τὸ Αερμων Σανιωρ καὶ ὁ Αμορραῖος ἐπωνόμασεν αὐτὸ Σανιρ

quem Sidonii Sarion vocant, et Amorrhæi Sanir:

9 (Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;)

י. כֹּל עָרֵי הַמִּישֹׁר וְכָל הַגִּלְעָד וְכָל הַבָּשָׁן עַד סַלְכָה וְאֶדְרֶעִי עָרֵי מַמְלֶכֶת עוֹג בַּבָּשָׁן:

πᾶσαι πόλεις Μισωρ καὶ πᾶσα Γαλααδ καὶ πᾶσα Βασαν ἕως Σελχα καὶ Εδραϊν πόλεις βασιλείας τοῦ Ωγ ἐν τῇ Βασαν

omnes civitates, quæ sitæ sunt in planitie, et universam terram Galaad et Basan usque ad Selcha, et Edrai civitates regni Og in Basan.

10 All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

יא. כִּי רַק עוֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן נִשְׁאַר מִיֶּתֶר הָרְפָאִים הִנֵּה עַרְשׂוֹ עֶרֶשׂ בַּרְזֶל הֲלֹה הִוא בְּרַבַּת בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן תֵּשַׁע אַמּוֹת אָרְכָּהּ וְאַרְבַּע אַמּוֹת רָחְבָּהּ בְּאַמַּת אִישׁ:

ὅτι πλὴν Ωγ βασιλεὺς Βασαν κατελείφθη ἀπὸ τῶν Ραφαϊν ἰδοὺ ἡ κλίνη αὐτοῦ κλίνη σιδηρᾶ ἰδοὺ αὕτη ἐν τῇ ἄκρᾳ τῶν υἱῶν Αμμων ἐννέα πηχῶν τὸ μῆκος αὐτῆς καὶ τεσσάρων πηχῶν τὸ εὖρος αὐτῆς ἐν πήχει ἀνδρός

Solus quippe Og rex Basan restiterat de stirpe gigantum. Monstratur lectus ejus ferreus, qui est in Rabbath filiorum Ammon, novem cubitos habens longitudinis, et quatuor latitudinis ad mensuram cubiti virilis manus.

11 For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

יב. וְאֶת הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת יָרַשְׁנוּ בָּעֵת הַהִוא מֵעֲרֹעֵר אֲשֶׁר עַל נַחַל אַרְנֹן וַחֲצִי הַר הַגִּלְעָד וְעָרָיו נָתַתִּי לָראוּבֵנִי וְלַגָּדִי:

καὶ τὴν γῆν ἐκείνην ἐκληρονομήσαμεν ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ἀπὸ Αροηρ ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τοῦ χείλους χειμάρρου Αρνων καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ ὄρους Γαλααδ καὶ τὰς πόλεις αὐτοῦ ἔδωκα τῷ Ρουβην καὶ τῷ Γαδ

Terramque possedimus tempore illo ab Aroër, quæ est super ripam torrentis Arnon, usque ad mediam partem montis Galaad: et civitates illius dedi Ruben et Gad.

12 And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.

יג. וְיֶתֶר הַגִּלְעָד וְכָל הַבָּשָׁן מַמְלֶכֶת עוֹג נָתַתִּי לַחֲצִי שֵׁבֶט הַמְנַשֶּׁה כֹּל חֶבֶל הָאַרְגֹּב לְכָל הַבָּשָׁן הַהוּא יִקָּרֵא אֶרֶץ רְפָאִים:

καὶ τὸ κατάλοιπον τοῦ Γαλααδ καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν Βασαν βασιλείαν Ωγ ἔδωκα τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασση καὶ πᾶσαν περίχωρον Αργοβ πᾶσαν τὴν Βασαν ἐκείνην γῆ Ραφαϊν λογισθήσεται

Reliquam autem partem Galaad, et omnem Basan regni Og, tradidi mediæ tribui Manasse, omnem regionem Argob: cunctaque Basan vocatur Terra gigantum.

13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.

יד. יָאִיר בֶּן מְנַשֶּׁה לָקַח אֶת כָּל חֶבֶל אַרְגֹּב עַד גְּבוּל הַגְּשׁוּרִי וְהַמַּעֲכָתִי וַיִּקְרָא אֹתָם עַל שְׁמוֹ אֶת הַבָּשָׁן חַוֹּת יָאִיר עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה:

καὶ Ιαϊρ υἱὸς Μανασση ἔλαβεν πᾶσαν τὴν περίχωρον Αργοβ ἕως τῶν ὁρίων Γαργασι καὶ Ομαχαθι ἐπωνόμασεν αὐτὰς ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ τὴν Βασαν Αυωθ Ιαϊρ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης

Jair filius Manasse possedit omnem regionem Argob usque ad terminos Gessuri et Machati. Vocavitque ex nomine suo Basan, Havoth Jair, id est, Villas Jair, usque in præsentem diem.

14 Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi; and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day.

טו. וּלְמָכִיר נָתַתִּי אֶת הַגִּלְעָד:

καὶ τῷ Μαχιρ ἔδωκα τὴν Γαλααδ

Machir quoque dedi Galaad.

15 And I gave Gilead unto Machir.

טז. וְלָראוּבֵנִי וְלַגָּדִי נָתַתִּי מִן הַגִּלְעָד וְעַד נַחַל אַרְנֹן תּוֹךְ הַנַּחַל וּגְבֻל וְעַד יַבֹּק הַנַּחַל גְּבוּל בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן:

καὶ τῷ Ρουβην καὶ τῷ Γαδ δέδωκα ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλααδ ἕως χειμάρρου Αρνων μέσον τοῦ χειμάρρου ὅριον καὶ ἕως τοῦ Ιαβοκ ὁ χειμάρρους ὅριον τοῖς υἱοῖς Αμμαν

Et tribubus Ruben et Gad dedi de terra Galaad usque ad torrentem Arnon medium torrentis, et confinium usque ad torrentem Jeboc, qui est terminus filiorum Ammon:

16 And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

יז. וְהָעֲרָבָה וְהַיַּרְדֵּן וּגְבֻל מִכִּנֶּרֶת וְעַד יָם הָעֲרָבָה יָם הַמֶּלַח תַּחַת אַשְׁדֹּת הַפִּסְגָּה מִזְרָחָה:

καὶ ἡ Αραβα καὶ ὁ Ιορδάνης ὅριον Μαχαναρεθ καὶ ἕως θαλάσσης Αραβα θαλάσσης ἁλυκῆς ὑπὸ Ασηδωθ τὴν Φασγα ἀνατολῶν

et planitiem solitudinis, atque Jordanem, et terminos Cenereth usque ad mare deserti, quod est salsissimum, ad radices montis Phasga contra orientem.

17 The plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.

יח. וָאֲצַו אֶתְכֶם בָּעֵת הַהִוא לֵאמֹר יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם נָתַן לָכֶם אֶת הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת לְרִשְׁתָּהּ חֲלוּצִים תַּעַבְרוּ לִפְנֵי אֲחֵיכֶם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כָּל בְּנֵי חָיִל:

καὶ ἐνετειλάμην ὑμῖν ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ λέγων κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν ἔδωκεν ὑμῖν τὴν γῆν ταύτην ἐν κλήρῳ ἐνοπλισάμενοι προπορεύεσθε πρὸ προσώπου τῶν ἀδελφῶν ὑμῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ πᾶς δυνατός

Præcepique vobis in tempore illo, dicens: Dominus Deus vester dat vobis terram hanc in hæreditatem: expediti præcedite fratres vestros filios Israël omnes viri robusti,

18 And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.

יט. רַק נְשֵׁיכֶם וְטַפְּכֶם וּמִקְנֵכֶם יָדַעְתִּי כִּי מִקְנֶה רַב לָכֶם יֵשְׁבוּ בְּעָרֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לָכֶם:

πλὴν αἱ γυναῖκες ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ τέκνα ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ κτήνη ὑμῶν οἶδα ὅτι πολλὰ κτήνη ὑμῖν κατοικείτωσαν ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν ὑμῶν αἷς ἔδωκα ὑμῖν

absque uxoribus, et parvulis, atque jumentis. Novi enim quod plura habeatis pecora, et in urbibus remanere debebunt, quas tradidi vobis,

19 But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (for I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you;

כ. עַד אֲשֶׁר יָנִיחַ יְהֹוָה לַאֲחֵיכֶם כָּכֶם וְיָרְשׁוּ גַם הֵם אֶת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם נֹתֵן לָהֶם בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן וְשַׁבְתֶּם אִישׁ לִירֻשָּׁתוֹ אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לָכֶם:

ἕως ἂν καταπαύσῃ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὑμῶν ὥσπερ καὶ ὑμᾶς καὶ κατακληρονομήσουσιν καὶ οὗτοι τὴν γῆν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν δίδωσιν αὐτοῖς ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου καὶ ἐπαναστραφήσεσθε ἕκαστος εἰς τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ ἣν ἔδωκα ὑμῖν

donec requiem tribuat Dominus fratribus vestris, sicut vobis tribuit: et possideant ipsi etiam terram, quam daturus est eis trans Jordanem: tunc revertetur unusquisque in possessionem suam, quam dedi vobis.

20 Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.

כא. וְאֶת יְהוֹשׁוּעַ צִוֵּיתִי בָּעֵת הַהִוא לֵאמֹר עֵינֶיךָ הָרֹאֹת אֵת כָּל אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם לִשְׁנֵי הַמְּלָכִים הָאֵלֶּה כֵּן יַעֲשֶׂה יְהֹוָה לְכָל הַמַּמְלָכוֹת אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה עֹבֵר שָׁמָּה:

καὶ τῷ Ἰησοῖ ἐνετειλάμην ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ λέγων οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν ἑωράκασιν πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν τοῖς δυσὶ βασιλεῦσι τούτοις οὕτως ποιήσει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν πάσας τὰς βασιλείας ἐφ᾽ ἃς σὺ διαβαίνεις ἐκεῖ

Josue quoque in tempore illo præcepi, dicens: Oculi tui viderunt quæ fecit Dominus Deus vester duobus his regibus: sic faciet omnibus regnis, ad quæ transiturus es.

21 And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.

כב. לֹא תִּירָאוּם כִּי יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם הוּא הַנִּלְחָם לָכֶם:

οὐ φοβηθήσεσθε ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν αὐτὸς πολεμήσει περὶ ὑμῶν

Ne timeas eos: Dominus enim Deus vester pugnabit pro vobis.

22 Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.

כג. וָאֶתְחַנַּן אֶל יְהֹוָה בָּעֵת הַהִוא לֵאמֹר:

καὶ ἐδεήθην κυρίου ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ λέγων

Precatusque sum Dominum in tempore illo, dicens:

23 And I besought the LORD at that time, saying,

כד. אֲדֹנָי יֱהֹוִה אַתָּה הַחִלּוֹתָ לְהַרְאוֹת אֶת עַבְדְּךָ אֶת גָּדְלְךָ וְאֶת יָדְךָ הַחֲזָקָה אֲשֶׁר מִי אֵל בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר יַעֲשֶׂה כְמַעֲשֶׂיךָ וְכִגְבוּרֹתֶךָ:

κύριε κύριε σὺ ἤρξω δεῖξαι τῷ σῷ θεράποντι τὴν ἰσχύν σου καὶ τὴν δύναμίν σου καὶ τὴν χεῖρα τὴν κραταιὰν καὶ τὸν βραχίονα τὸν ὑψηλόν τίς γάρ ἐστιν θεὸς ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ἢ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ὅστις ποιήσει καθὰ σὺ ἐποίησας καὶ κατὰ τὴν ἰσχύν σου

Domine Deus, tu cœpisti ostendere servo tuo magnitudinem tuam, manumque fortissimam: neque enim est alius deus vel in cælo, vel in terra, qui possit facere opera tua, et comparari fortitudini tuæ.

24 O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?

כה. אֶעְבְּרָה נָּא וְאֶרְאֶה אֶת הָאָרֶץ הַטּוֹבָה אֲשֶׁר בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן הָהָר הַטּוֹב הַזֶּה וְהַלְּבָנֹן:

διαβὰς οὖν ὄψομαι τὴν γῆν τὴν ἀγαθὴν ταύτην τὴν οὖσαν πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου τὸ ὄρος τοῦτο τὸ ἀγαθὸν καὶ τὸν Ἀντιλίβανον

Transibo igitur, et videbo terram hanc optimam trans Jordanem, et montem istum egregium, et Libanum.

25 I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.

כו. וַיִּתְעַבֵּר יְהֹוָה בִּי לְמַעַנְכֶם וְלֹא שָׁמַע אֵלָי וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹוָה אֵלַי רַב לָךְ אַל תּוֹסֶף דַּבֵּר אֵלַי עוֹד בַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה:

καὶ ὑπερεῖδεν κύριος ἐμὲ ἕνεκεν ὑμῶν καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσέν μου καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἱκανούσθω σοι μὴ προσθῇς ἔτι λαλῆσαι τὸν λόγον τοῦτον

Iratusque est Dominus mihi propter vos, nec exaudivit me, sed dixit mihi: Sufficit tibi: nequaquam ultra loquaris de hac re ad me.

26 But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

כז. עֲלֵה רֹאשׁ הַפִּסְגָּה וְשָׂא עֵינֶיךָ יָמָּה וְצָפֹנָה וְתֵימָנָה וּמִזְרָחָה וּרְאֵה בְעֵינֶיךָ כִּי לֹא תַעֲבֹר אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּן הַזֶּה:

ἀνάβηθι ἐπὶ κορυφὴν Λελαξευμένου καὶ ἀναβλέψας τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς κατὰ θάλασσαν καὶ βορρᾶν καὶ λίβα καὶ ἀνατολὰς καὶ ἰδὲ τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς σου ὅτι οὐ διαβήσῃ τὸν Ιορδάνην τοῦτον

Ascende cacumen Phasgæ, et oculos tuos circumfer ad occidentem, et ad aquilonem, austrumque et orientem, et aspice; nec enim transibis Jordanem istum.

27 Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

כח. וְצַו אֶת יְהוֹשֻׁעַ וְחַזְּקֵהוּ וְאַמְּצֵהוּ כִּי הוּא יַעֲבֹר לִפְנֵי הָעָם הַזֶּה וְהוּא יַנְחִיל אוֹתָם אֶת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר תִּרְאֶה:

καὶ ἔντειλαι Ἰησοῖ καὶ κατίσχυσον αὐτὸν καὶ παρακάλεσον αὐτόν ὅτι οὗτος διαβήσεται πρὸ προσώπου τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου καὶ αὐτὸς κατακληρονομήσει αὐτοῖς τὴν γῆν ἣν ἑώρακας

Præcipe Josue, et corrobora eum atque conforta: quia ipse præcedet populum istum, et dividet eis terram quam visurus es.

28 But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

כט. וַנֵּשֶׁב בַּגָּיְא מוּל בֵּית פְּעוֹר:

καὶ ἐνεκαθήμεθα ἐν νάπῃ σύνεγγυς οἴκου Φογωρ

Mansimusque in valle contra fanum Phogor.

29 So we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.
