ἐμοὶ δὲ πρὸς αὐτὰ οὐδαμῶς ἐστι σχολή: τὸ δὲ αἴτιον, ὦ φίλε, τούτου τόδε. οὐ δύναμαί πω κατὰ τὸ Δελφικὸν γράμμα γνῶναι ἐμαυτόν: γελοῖον δή μοι φαίνεται (230a) τοῦτο ἔτι ἀγνοοῦντα τὰ ἀλλότρια σκοπεῖν.

Mihi vero ad haec ocium non est, ob eam o amice causam, quia nondum queo secundum delphicum praeceptum meipsum cognoscere. Ridiculum igitur puro, cum mea ipse ignorem, aliena perscrutari uelle.
