فاضر باهل الدين وشردهم وقرب اهل الاوثان وصنع لهم الثنام الذهب والفضة وقوى كل طائفة منهم على امره وهم فيما بينهم مختلفون وحضر اعيادهم وسجد لاصنامهم
19 Dès (66) lors, il persécuta les adeptes de la Religion et les chassa pour rapprocher de lui les adeptes de l'idolâtrie, faisant fabriquer pour eux des idoles d'or et d'argent, [5] soutenant chacune de leurs sectes, malgré leurs désaccords entre elles, assistant à leurs fêtes, se prosternant devant leurs idoles.
20 მაშინ ალიძრა იგი გულის წყრომითა ზედა კრისტეანეთა და იწყო ძჳრის ჩუენებად კაცთა მიტ ღმრტისათა და ყოველთა მიმართ, რომელნი ერჩდეს სატყუათა მათთა. 22 [და] დაამძინა ჴელი მისი მატ ზედა, ვიდრემდის განმარტა ჴელო მისა მატ ზედა გუემითა და თანჯვითა, და აკუეთნა მათ კაცნი უგუნურნი. 23 იწყო მოყვანებად კერპთ მსახურთა პატივითა დიდითა, და ადიდნა კერპნი მათნი და თაყუანის-საცა წინაშე მატსა; და უზორა და ეზიარებოდა დღესასწაულთა მათთა.
19=20,22,23 Therefore he rose in wrath against all the Christians and began to pronounce curses on the men of God and all those who listened to their words. And the king set about them with great violence, subjecting them to flogging and torture; and his demented minions brutally assaulted them. And he began to bring idolaters to his court and treat them with great honour, and he exalted their idols and made obeisance before them; and he offered up sacrifices to them and took part in their festive rites.
