Note on the transliteration:
The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).
 
Important:
We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(20)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(21)時十七眾欲得作捨置法有所論說。(22)六眾苾芻便往屏處默然而聽。由評論事不忍煩惱制斯學處。(23)若復苾芻知餘苾芻評論事生。(24)求過紛擾諍競而住。默然往彼聽其所說。作如是念。(25)我欲聽已當令鬥亂。以此為緣者。波逸底迦。(26)言評論事生者。謂見不可意事。初始評論。(27)言求過紛擾者。求覓過失更相道說。(28)言諍競者。情不含忍發舉其事。(29)謂將此言說入評論諍中。自結朋黨共相扶扇。(601b1)言默然往聽者。謂在屏處聽彼評論。言令鬥亂者。(2)小事始生令成大諍。紛紜不息。(3)若知諸苾芻在於上閣有所論說。須欲往者應彈指。(4)或謦欬作聲者無犯。若默而去聽彼言說。初聞聲時。(5)便得惡作。若解其義即獲墮罪。(6)若於中閣若在簷前。若經行處隨彼而聽。咸得本罪。(7)評論評論想六句如前。有說實非評論作評論想。(8)亦得墮罪。若情無向背。若忽遇聞。(9)若聽其言欲令銷殄者。此皆無犯。
