Note on the transliteration:
The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).
 
Important:
We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

tena khalu samayena rājagṛhe ’nyataraḥ śreṣṭhī āḍhyo mahādhano mahabhogī |  tena sadṛśāt kulāt kalatram ānītam | pūrvavat paricārayati | 
de’i tshe rgyal po’i khab na tsheṅ dpon phyug pa nor maṅ ba loṅs spyod che ba (2) źig yod pa  des rigs mñam pa las chug ma blaṅs nas źes bya ba nas dga’ mgur sbyod par byed do źes bya bi bar goṅ ma bźin du’o || 
so ’pareṇa samayena patnīm āmantrayate | bhadre gacchāmi paṇyam ādāya deśāntaram iti | 
de dus gźan źi ga na chuṅ ma la smras pa | bzaṅ mo zoṅ thogs nas yul gźan du ’gro’o || 
sā kathayaty āryaputra evaṃ kuruṣveti | sa paṇyam ādāya deśāntaraṃ gataḥ | 
des smras pa | rje’i sus de bźin du mdzod cig | (3) de thoṅ thogs te yul gyi mthar soṅ ṅo || 
sopasṛṣṭāmbaravasanā kleśair bādhitum ārabdhā |  rājā bimbisāro hastiskandhābhirūḍhas tasyā gṛhasamīpena gacchati |  tayā ca vātāyanasthayā rājñaḥ sragdāmaṃ kṣiptam | 
de yaṅ kha zas źim po daṅ gos kyis ñon moṅs khas gduṅs par gyur pa las |  rgyal po gzugs can sñiṅ po glaṅ po che la źon nas de’i khyim druṅ nas sor ba daṅ |  des kyaṅ skar khuṅ du ’dug nas rgyal po la me tog gi phreṅ ba bor ro || 
tato rājñā dṛṣṭā uktā ca | āgaccheti | 
de nas rgyal (4) pos mthoṅ nas smras pa | mar śog | 
sā kathayati | deva jihremi | tvam eva praviśeti | 
des smras pa | lta g-yar tsha lags kyis khyod ñid naṅ du gśegs śig | 
tato rājā praviṣṭaḥ | sa tayā sārdhaṃ paricārayati |  sā tasmin samaye kalyāṇī ṛtumatī āpannasatvā saṃvṛttā |  tayā rājñe niveditam | deva āpannasatvāsmi saṃvṛttā |

tato rājñā tasyāpi aṅgulimudrakañ citrā ca viralī dattā |  uktā ca | yadi tāvad dārako bhavati | etāṃ viralikāṃ prāvṛtya aṅgulimudrakaṃ ca grīvāyāṃ baddhvā mama preṣayiṣyasi |  atha dārikā tavaivety uktā | rājā prakrāntaḥ | 
de nas rgyal pos de la yaṅ sor gdub kyi gya daṅ seṅ ras khra bo byin nas  smras pa | gal te re źig khye’ur myur na seṅ ras ’di skon la sor gdub kyi rgya yaṅ mgul du thogs te ṅa’i druṅ du bkri śig |  ’on te bu mo yin (6) na ni khyod ñid kyi yin no źes smras nas rgyal po sor ro || 
yāvad asau sārthavāhaḥ saṃpannārthe rājagṛhasamīpam āgataḥ |  tena patnyādi saṃdiṣṭaṃ bhadre prāmodyam utpādaya |  svastitaḥ saṃpannārtho ’ham āgataḥ |  kiyat tamair divasair (24) āgata eveti | 
ji tsam na ded dpon de don rnams grub ste rgyal po’i khab daṅ ñe ba źig tu phyin nas |  des chuṅ ma la bzaṅ mo dga’ pa skyed cig |  kho bo don grub nas ’di bar ’oṅs te |  źag ’di tsam kho na na phyin par ’oṅ ṅo || 
sā śrutvā kathitā | mayā evaṃ (245r) rūpam akṛtyaṃ kṛtaṃ sa cāgataḥ | katham atra pratipattavyam iti |  tayā eṣa vṛttānto rājñe niveditaḥ |  tato rājñā pratideśo dattaḥ | nirviśaṃkā tiṣṭha | ahaṃ tathā kariṣye yathā na śīghram āgamiṣyatīti | 
spriṅ ba des thos (7) nas bdag gis ni bya ba ma yin pa ’di lta bu byas la | de yaṅ ’oṅ na de la ji ltar bsgrub par bya sñaṅ du phoṅs par gyur nas |  des de ltar gyur pa rnams rgyal po la rig par byas pa dag |  de nas rgyal pos slar spriṅ ba | bag ma tsha bar ’dug śig ci nas kyaṅ myur du mi ’oṅ ba de ltar (ga59b1) ṅas bya’o || 
rājñā tasya dūto ’nupreṣitaḥ | sārthavāha mamāmukenāmukena ca ratnena prayojanam | tena vinā tvayā iha na praveṣṭavyam iti |  sa teṣāṃ ratnānām arthāya dūrataraṃ praviṣṭaḥ |
