ثمّ إنّ مهمّة الكاتب أنْ يدرس في أشخاصه المؤثّرات الوراثية التي أخذوها عن آبائهم وجنسيتهم ،

The way a fifteen-year old youth loves is of course¹ different from the love of twenty-five- or thirty-five-year olds, and that person’s love is also different from that of an old man.
