ولا شكّ أنّ كتابه هذا سيخلق عهداً جديداً في عالم الأدب المصري الحديث ، ويخطّ طريقاً جديداً للأدباء .

wa-lā šakk^a ʔanna kitāba-hū hāḏā sa-yaḫluq^u ʕahd^an ǧadīd^an fī ʕālam al-ʔadab al-miṣrī al-ḥadīṯ, wa-yaḫuṭṭ^a ṭarīq^an ǧadīd^an lil-ʔudabāʔ.

There is no doubt that this book will create a new era for modern Egyptian literature and that it will sketch a new path for creative writers¹ to follow.

1. al-ʔudabāʔ – could also be rendered, more generally, as ‘the literati’.

We thank the Professor for coming out with this book, and we hope he’s not sparse and will commit to print [also] his valuable lectures.
