Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

astīti kāśyapa ayam eko ’ntaḥ nāstīty ayaṃ dvitīyo ’ntaḥ yad etayor dvayor antayor maddhyam iyam ucyate kāśyapa madhyamā pratipad dharmāṇāṃ bhūtapratyavekṣā{t*}

有在一邊。無有在一邊。有無有適在中間。是為智黠中本也。

有者是一邊。無者為二邊。此二中間。無所有亦不可得。是謂中道真實觀法。

復次迦葉。有是一邊無是一邊。有無中間無色無形無明無知。是名中道諸法實觀。

復次迦葉。此有法一此無法二。若此二法於是色中。不見不住無微無識亦無相故。迦葉。此說影像中法如實觀察。復次迦葉。此輪迴一法。此涅槃二法。若彼二法於是色中。不見不住無微無識。迦葉。此說影像中法如實觀察。
