Rumindei and Nigālī Sāgar minor pillar-edict, Māgadhī 
I. THE RUMMINDEI PILLAR

(A) 1 Devāna[pi]yena Piyadasina lājina vīsati-vasābhisitena 2 atana āgāca mahīyite hida Budhe jāte Sakyamunī ti  (B) 3 silā vigaḍabhī cā kālāpita silā-thabhe ca usapāpite 4 hida Bhagavaṃ jāte ti  (C) Luṃmini-gāme ubalike kaṭe 5 aṭha-bhāgiye ca 
(A) When king Devānāṃpriya Priyadarśin had been anointed twenty years, he came himself and worshipped (this spot), because the Buddha Śākyamuni was born here.  (B) (He) both caused to be made a stone bearing a horse(?) and caused a stone pillar to be set up, (in order to show) that the Blessed one was born here.  (C) (He) made the village of Luṃmini free of taxes, and paying (only) an eighth share (of the produce). 
II. THE NIGĀLĪ SĀGAR PILLAR

(A) 1 Devānaṃpiyena Piyadasina lājina codasa-vasā[bh]i[si]t[e]n[a] 2 Budhasa Konākamanasa thube dutiyaṃ vaḍhite  (B) 3 ........ sābhisitena ca atana āgāca mahīyite 4 .......... pāpite 
(A) When king Devānāṃpriya Priyadarśin had been anointed fourteen years, he enlarged the Stūpa of the Buddha Konākamana to the double (of its original size).  (B) And when he had been anointed [twenty] years, he came himself and worshipped (this spot) [and] caused [a stone pillar to be set up].
