Note on the transliteration:
The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).
 
Important:
We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

āyuṣmān upālī buddhaṃ bhagavantaṃ pṛcchati | yathāpi tad bhadaṃta varṣopagatā bhikṣavaḥ śṛṇvanti. bhikṣavaḥ āgacchanti kalahakārakā bhaṇḍanakārakā vigrahakārakā vivādakārakā ādhikaraṇikāḥ. te ’smākaṃ codayiṣyaṃti smārayiṣyaṃti alajjitāyo vaitarikatvena. tais teṣāṃ kathaṃ pratipattavyaṃ. tair upāliṃ bhikṣubhir dve trīṇi vā poṣadhakarmāṇy atikramya pravārayitavyaṃ. 
saṅs rgyas bcom ldan ’das la tshe daṅ ldan pa ñe ba ’khor gyis źus pa | btsun pa ’di ltar yaṅ dbyar gnas par dam bcas pa’i dge sloṅ rnams kyis dge sloṅ ’thab krol bgyid pa | mtshaṅ ’dru bar bgyid pa | rtson par bgyid pa | ’gyed (7) par bgyid pa | rtsod pa’i gźi bgyid pa dag mchi’o źes thos te | de dag ṅo tsham mchis pas tho btsam pa ñid du bdag cag la gleṅ bar bgyid | dran par bgyid do sñam na | de rnams kyis de dag la ji ltar bsgrub par bgyi | ñe ba ’khor dge sloṅ de rnams kyis gso sbyoṅ (236b1) gi las gñis sam | gsum ’das par byas nas dgag dbye bya’o || 
具壽鄔波離白佛言。世尊大徳。有苾芻(20)安居。作隨意時。問此中不有鬪諍者。調哢者。(21)難問者。將向王官等家者。禁閉人者。非法擧(22)罪者。來斯住處。現在苾芻是慚愧者不又問。(23)有如是鬪諍惡人來。不知云何隨意。佛告鄔(24)波離若有如是惡人來急者。應二三人向小(25)界場中自爲隨意。 
The cancelling of the Pravāraṇā because of disagreement 
sacet saṃpadyate ’ty evaṃ kuśalaṃ. no cet saṃpadyate, tair bhikṣubhir dvau trayo vā āpadarthikā maṇḍalakāḥ saṃmantavyāḥ. 
gal te de ltar grub na legs | gal te ma grub na dge sloṅ de rnams kyis gnod pa’i ched kyi dkyil ’khor gñis sam | gsum khas blaṅ bar bya’o || 
 
sacet saṃpadyate ’ty evaṃ kuśalaṃ. no cet saṃpadyate, vāksākhilyakena pratyudgamya pātracīvaraṃ pratigrahītavyaṃ. pātracīvareṇāmohayitvā pramohayitvā pravārayitavyaṃ. 
gal te de ltar grub na legs | (2) gal te ma grub na dge sloṅ de rnams kyis bśes pa’i tshig gis bsu bar bya | lhuṅ bzed daṅ chos gos blaṅ bar bya ste | lhuṅ bzed daṅ chos gos dag gis mgu źir rab tu mgu bar byas la dgag dbye bya’o || 
若得者善。若不得者。應出(26)迎之。爲取衣鉢。安慰問訊。種種濡語。安置房(27)中已。應自急爲隨意。 
sacet saṃpadyate ’ty evaṃ kuśalaṃ. no cet saṃpadyate, dharmaśravaṇaṃ dātavyam*. dharmaśravaṇenāmohayitvā pramohayitvā pravārayitavyaṃ. 
gal te de ltar grub na legs | gal te de ltar ma (3) grub na khrus bya ste | khrus bya bas mgu źiṅ rab tu mgu bar byas la dgag dbye bya’o ||  gal te de ltar grub na legs | gal te ma grub na chos bsgrag par bya ste | chos bsgrags pas mgu źiṅ rab tu mgu bar byas la dgag dbye bya’o || 
  若得者善。若不得者。應(28)爲洗浴。若肯洗浴者。應令一人説法彼等聽(29)法。應自急爲隨意。 
sacet saṃpadyate ’ty evaṃ kuśalaṃ. no cet saṃpadyate, tair upāliṃ bhikṣubhir maṇḍalakaṃ kṛtvā poṣadhaḥ kartavyaḥ. 
gal te de ltar grub (4) na legs | gal te ma grub na ñe ba ’khor dge sloṅ de dag dkyil ’khor gyi naṅ du doṅ la gso sbyoṅ bya’o || 
若得者善。不得者。應自向(1048b1)小界而爲長淨。 
sacet ta evaṃ vadeyuḥ. adyāyuṣmantas saṃghasya pravāraṇā pāṃcadaśikā. kasmād yūyaṃ poṣadhaṃ kurutheti. ta idaṃ syur vacanīyāḥ. āgantukā yūyam āyuṣmanto. naivāsikā bhikṣavo ’nenārthena. teṣām evaṃ bhavati | niyatam āyuṣmatāṃ cāturmāsikī pravāraṇā bhaviṣyatīti | tataḥ paścāt tair gatavegair gatapratyarthibhiḥ punar api pravārayitavyaṃ : || 
gal te de dag ’di skad ces | tshe daṅ ldan pa dag deṅ dge ’dun gyi dgag dbye bco lṅa pa yin na | khyed cag ci’i phyir gso sbyoṅ byed ces zer na | de dag (5) la ’di skad ces brjod par bya ste | tshe daṅ ldan pa khyed can ni glo bur du ’oṅs pa yin la | don ’di ni gñug mar gnas pa’i dge sloṅ rnams kyi’o źes smros śig | de nas de dag ’di sñam du tshe daṅ ldan pa ’di dag ni ṅes par zla ba bźi ba’i dgag dbye byed do (6) sñam du sems pa daṅ | de’i ’og tu ’jigs pa daṅ bral źiṅ phas kyi rgol ba daṅ bral nas slar yaṅ dgag dbye bya’o || 
彼苾芻若問言。今是隨意時。(2)汝等何故長淨。波應報言。汝客苾芻。須知我(3)舊住人。自有法則。彼客苾芻謂言合爾。共爲(4)長淨。事既了訖。待彼散已。更和合別爲隨意。
