There is normality; one who stayed inside sīmā; free from movement; [and] with controlled speech.
Venerable Upālin asked Buddha, the blessed one.
Bhadanta, how many actions are of utkṣepaṇīya?
Upālin, there are four.
[The monks], being in discord, expel [those accused persons] not in accordance with the law;
being united [but] not in accordance with the law;
being in discord [but] in accordance with the law;
‹being united [and] in accordance with the law›.
The one with, being united [and] in accordance with the law, is utkṣepaṇakarman.
