Note on the transliteration:
The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).
 
Important:
We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

§12 tatra bhikṣavo yatra catvāro bhikṣavaḥ prativasanti | (3) arhati tatra saṃgho dharmeṇa sarvakarmāṇi kartuṃ |  sthāpayitvā paṃcānāṃ pravāraṇā‹ṃ› daśānām upasaṃpadaṃ viṃśatīnāṃ cāvarhaṇaṃ ||  yatra paṃca prativasaṃty | arhati tatra saṃghaḥ dharmeṇa sarvakarmāṇi kartuṃ | sthāpayitvā daśānāṃ upasaṃpadaṃ viṃśatīnāṃ cāvarhaṇam* ||  yatra bhikṣavaḥ daśa pra(4)tivasaṃti | arhati tatra saṃghaḥ sarvakarmāṇi kartuṃ | sthāpayitvā viṃśatīnāṃ āvarhaṇaṃ ||  yatra viṃśatir bhikṣavaḥ prativasanti uttare ca | arhati tatra saṃgha‹ḥ› dharmeṇa sarvakarmāṇi kartuṃ || || 
gaṅ na dge sloṅ bźi gnas pa de na dge ’dun gyis chos kyi las bya ba thams cad ruṅ ste |  lṅa’i dgag dbye daṅ | bcu’i bsñen bar rdzogs pa (H203a3) daṅ | ñi śu’i dbyuṅ ba ni ma gtogs so ||  gaṅ na dge sloṅ lṅa gnas pa de na dge ’dun gyis las bya ba thams cad ruṅ ste | (7) bcu’i bsñen par rdzogs pa daṅ | ñi śu’i dbyuṅ ba (H203a4) ni ma gtogs so ||  gaṅ na dge sloṅ bcu gnas pa de na dge ’dun gyi las bya ba thams cad ruṅ ste | ñi śu’i dbyuṅ ba ni ma gtogs so ||  gaṅ na dge sloṅ ñi śu’am lhag (H203a5) par gnas pa de na dge ’dun gyis chos kyi las bya ba thams cad ruṅ (137a1) ṅo || || 
Therein, bhikṣus! Where there live four monks, this [set of] saṃgha deserves to do all [kinds of] legal actions;  except for the invitation (pravāraṇa), it is for a collegium of the five. The upasaṃpadā is for a collegium of the ten, and the āvarhaṇa is for a collegium of the twenty.  Where there live five monks, this [set of] saṃgha deserves to do all [kinds of] legal actions; except for the upasaṃpadā, it is for a collegium of the ten, whereas the āvarhaṇa is for a collegium of the twenty.  Where there live ten monks, this [set of] saṃgha deserves to do all [kinds of] legal actions; except for the āvarhaṇa, it is for a collegium of the twenty.  Where there live twenty monks or more, this [set of] saṃgha deserves to do all [kinds of] legal actions.
