Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(27)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(28)鄔波難陀苾芻從嗢缽羅苾芻尼取賊施衣。(29)其事同前譏嫌待緣煩惱。制斯學處。(557a1)若復苾芻從非親苾芻尼取衣者。(2)除貿易泥薩祇波逸底迦。(3)言非親者。(4)由於非親尼處取衣自濟不顧有無。若於親處懷顧念心。(5)因制不聽非親處取除貿易者。或以衣換同體別體。或全酬價。(6)或半價。或少或多。或劣或勝。或相似物。(7)隨衣主意而貿易之。或觀彼意愍而為受。(8)或為報恩。或為福德。或供養心受皆無犯。(9)又設非貿易作如是心。我當酬直。亦名換易。(10)若為飾玩。(11)若輕慢心。若矯誑意而貿易者。咸得惡作。(12)若無上下衣者應受。若過受者。(13)便得捨墮境想及疑。同前學處。或不對面取。或遣書等取。(14)或衣不現前。咸得惡作。(15)無犯者謂求寂女及學戒女。或施僧伽。或聽妙法情生欽重。(16)或近圓時所有惠施。或酬價直。或共貿易。(17)或知彼尼是福德者。彼以衣物置苾芻前。(18)我有餘衣現無闕乏。願為受之。作是言已。捨衣而去。(19)或親友想。或暫用想。如斯等衣受皆無犯。
