Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(19)佛在王舍城。因天授等。事惱同前。(20)制斯學處。若復苾芻別眾食者。除餘時。波逸底迦。(21)餘時者。病時作時。道行時。船行時。(22)大眾食時。沙門施食時。此是時。(23)別眾者。謂不同處食。若四苾芻同一界內。(24)餘有一人不共同食。並名別眾。此言食者。(25)出犯過緣。謂是正食。餘食非犯。(26)病時作時道行時者。皆如上說。船行時者。如道行說。(27)大眾食時者。謂作世尊頂髻大會。若五年大會。(28)若六年大會。此大會日隨施主心。各處設食。(29)若四若五。隨意分食。雖不和同亦無別過。(586a1)沙門施食者。謂諸外道廣設供養。(2)於此時中開聽別食。雖曰外道亦稱沙門。(3)若於界內界內想疑。別眾食時。(4)得根本罪若在界外及居界內為界外想者無犯。如是應知別食。(5)別食想六句應思。處有二種。一大院住處。二邊房住處。(6)若在大院。四人已上受請之時。(7)應問言邊房住處。頗有人來同此食不。(8)若不問彼有人不來。別眾食時便得墮罪。若四人中一有開緣。(9)若一求寂共三近圓。(10)若送少食下至送鹽一匙。或草葉一握。若本施主但擬當房。(11)於此居人我當供給。若現神力空中而食。若僧伽食。(12)若私已食。並皆無犯。
