Note on the transliteration:
The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).
 
Important:
We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(20)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(21)時十七眾苾芻在阿市羅跋底河中戲。時勝光王見生譏嫌。(22)事惱同前。制斯學處。(23)若復苾芻水中戲者。波逸底迦。(24)言水中戲者。因九事生犯。謂自喜教他喜。(25)自戲教他戲。自跳教他跳。掉舉弄影。(26)身相打拍。此中犯相者。謂在水中若出若沒。(27)若去若來。若拍水為鼓。若自作若共他作。(28)若隨三業所引起事。若苾芻作戲調想。(29)初從座起著裙披衣。去至洗處。著洗裙入水中。隨其深淺。(595c1)或堪不堪。擬為戲調。一一皆得。方便惡作。(2)若為戲笑。若浮若沒。若去若還。或沿波下。(3)或泝流上。若打水作樂畫水波文。於水瓨中。(4)或罐器內。若於羹碗以手打拍。(5)作絃管音者。咸得墮罪。若指彈作聲。為戲調心。(6)皆得惡作。若作取涼冷意騰攪水波。(7)若渡河若學浮者無犯。如世尊說。苾芻應習浮。(8)恐有難緣不能浮渡。若以水灑弄他時隨渧多少。(9)咸得墮罪。為取涼冷水灑無犯。(10)油等渧他者。得惡作罪。除水已外。(11)若將餘物而戲調者皆得惡作。水作水想有其六句。(12)有說實非是水而為水想。亦得墮罪。
