Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(24)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(25)因六眾苾芻依門徒事。由攝受門徒煩惱。制斯學處。(26)若復苾芻離間語故。波逸底迦。(27)言苾芻離間語故者。謂作惡心令他離間。(28)而發其語。或求資生。或作無益。或性嫉妒。(29)或為福業事。謂讀誦依止等。(573c1)若苾芻於一離一於一離二。於一離多。於一離眾。(2)或於二離一等。乃至於眾離眾句亦如是。(3)然於此中事有輕重。罪名無別。若苾芻有離間意。(4)向餘苾芻作毀訾語。欲令鬥諍。言某甲苾芻曾於某處。(5)數作如是不饒益語。作此語時得惡作罪。(6)若以氏族等而陳說者。隨事輕重得罪不同。(7)為離間語時。令他解了便得本罪。(8)不要待他為離間事。或身在空前人在地。(9)或身在地前人處空。或身在界內他在界外。(10)或身在界外他在界內。或俱界內。或俱界外。皆得本罪。(11)若離授學人同善苾芻。或於求寂離間苾芻。(12)或復翻此及先犯人等。並得惡作。(13)為離間意他不了時。但惡作罪。此事此事想。六句如上。(14)其無犯者。作利益心。或於惡友令其離間。(15)犯緣同上。
