ولكنْ إذا نظرنا إلى أدبنا في الوقت الحاضر نظرةً بريئة خالية من الأغراض ، نظرة محقّق يحلّل الأسباب والنتائج ، لتبيّن لنا أنّ الثورة قد انتابت التمثيل ؛ 
walākin ʔiḏā naẓarnā ʔilà ʔadabi-nā fī ’l-waqt al-ḥāḍir naẓraẗan barīʔaẗ ḫāliyaẗ min al-ʔaġrāḍ, naẓraẗa muḥaqqiqin yuḥallilu ’l-ʔasbāb wa’l-natāʔiǧ, la-tabayyana la-nā ʔanna ’l-ṯawraẗ qad intābat al-tamṯīla
If we take an innocent, disinterested look at the literature of our present days, as an investigator who analyses causes and effects would do, it will become evident that the revolution has actually already infected dramatic arts.

فإنّ النوع المجوني المَرَضي الإباحي ليس هو في الحقيقة إلا مظاهرة أو شبه ثورة ضدّ القديم المبتذل ، 
fa-ʔinna ’l-nawʕ al-muǧūnī al-maraḍī al-ʔibāḥī laysa huwa fī ’l-ḥaqīqaẗ ʔillā muẓāharaẗ ʔaw šibh ṯawraẗ ḍidd al-qadīm al-mubtaḏal, 
For that obscene, sick and licentious type [of plays that we see today on our stages] is actually nothing but a demonstration or a semi-revolution against the old and trite,
