وغايتنا من ذلك أنْ يضع الكتّاب المصريون مؤلّفات قيّمة ناضجة تظلّ حيّة جديدة على مرّ الأعوام والأجيال ، 
wa-ġāyatu-nā min ḏālika ʔan yaḍiʕa ’l-kuttāb al-miṣriyyūn muʔallafāt qayyimaẗ nāḍiǧaẗ taẓallu ḥayawiyyaẗ ǧadīdaẗ ʕalà marri ’l-ʔaʕwām wa’l-ʔaǧyāl, 
Our intention with all this is [to make] Egyptian writers produce mature, valuable works that will remain new and lively in spite of years and generations passing by.

والرواية لا تكون خالدة إلا إذا كوّنت من العناصر الإنسانية الخالدة . 
wa’l-riwāyaẗ lā takūn ḫālidaẗan ʔillā ʔiḏā kuwwinat min al-ʕanāṣir al-ʔinsāniyyaẗ al-ḫālidaẗ. 
For a narrative will not be immortal unless it is composed of eternal human constituents.
