FRU BERNICK
(ude på havetrappen).
Vær så god, mine damer!
(Frøken Bernick og Dina har imidlertid hjulpet tjenestepigen at bringe kaffetøjet. Alle damerne tager plads derude; de taler overvættes venligt til Dina. Lidt efter går hun ind i salen og søger sit håndarbejde.)  
FRAU BERNICK
auf der Terrasse.
Darf ich bitten, meine Damen!
Martha und Dina waren mittlerweile dem Dienstmädchen dabei behilflich, den Kaffee zu servieren.
Alle Damen nehmen draußen Platz und überbieten sich in Freundlichkeiten gegen Dina. Nach einer kleinen Weile kommt Dina ins Zimmer und sucht ihre Handarbeit. 
MRS. BERNICK
(calling in from the verandah).
Will you come out here?
(Meanwhile MARTHA and DINA have helped the Maid to bring out the coffee. All the ladies seat themselves on the verandah, and talk with a great show of kindness to DINA. In a few moments DINA comes back into the room and looks for her sewing.) 
博尼克太太
(在廊下)
咖啡预备好了，太太小姐们。
(这时候马塞和棣纳帮着女用人把咖啡端出来。女客们走到廊下坐着，她们跟棣纳说话时争着跟她套亲热。过了会儿棣纳又回到屋里找她的活计。) 
FRU BERNICK
(ude ved kaffebordet).
Dina, vil ikke du også –? 
FRAU BERNICK
draußen am Kaffeetisch.
Dina, willst Du nicht auch –? 
MRS. BERNICK
(from the coffee table).
Dina, won’t you--? 
博尼克太太
(在咖啡桌前)
棣纳，你不--? 
DINA.
Nej tak; jeg vil ikke.
(Hun sætter sig ved sit sytøj. Fru Bernick og adjunkten veksler nogle ord; et øjeblik efter går han ind i salen.)  
DINA.
Nein, danke, – ich mag nicht.
Sie setzt sich an ihre Näharbeit. Frau Bernick und der Adjunkt wechseln einige Worte; gleich darauf kommt er ins Zimmer. 
DINA.
No, thank you.
(Sits down to her sewing. MRS. BERNICK and RORLUND exchange a few words; a moment afterwards he comes back into the room, makes a pretext for going up to the table, and begins speaking to DINA in low tones.) 
棣 纳
谢谢，我不想喝。
(坐下做活计。博尼克太太跟罗冷说了一两句话。过了会儿罗冷回到屋里，找个题目走到桌子旁边跟棣纳低声说话。) 
ADJUNKT RØRLUND
(gør sig et ærinde hen til bordet og siger dæmpet):
Dina. 
RÖRLUND
macht sich am Tische zu schaffen und sagt leise:
Dina! 
RORLUND.
Dina. 
罗 冷
棣纳。 
DINA.
Ja. 
DINA.
Ja. 
DINA.
Yes? 
棣 纳
什么事? 
ADJUNKT RØRLUND.
Hvorfor vil De ikke være derude? 
RÖRLUND.
Warum wollen Sie nicht mit draußen bleiben ? 
RORLUND.
Why don’t you want to sit with the others? 
罗 冷
为什么你不愿意跟大家一块儿坐? 
DINA.
Da jeg kom ind med kaffeen, kunde jeg se på den fremmede dame, at de havde talt om mig. 
DINA.
Wie ich mit dem Kaffee hereinkam, da merkte ich der fremden Dame an, daß man über mich gesprochen hatte. 
DINA.
When I came in with the coffee, I could see from the strange lady’s face that they had been talking about me. 
棣 纳
刚才我端咖啡的时候看了那个陌生女客的脸，就知道她们在议论我。 
ADJUNKT RØRLUND.
Og så De da ikke også, hvor venlig hun var imod Dem derude. 
RÖRLUND.
Doch haben Sie nicht auch gesehen, wie freundlich sie zu Ihnen draußen war? 
RORLUND.
But did you not see as well how agreeable she was to you out there? 
罗 冷
你没看出来她跟你说话多和气? 
DINA.
Men det tåler jeg ikke! 
DINA.
Aber das vertrage ich nicht! 
DINA.
That is just what I will not stand 
棣 纳
我就是受不了那份儿和气! 
ADJUNKT RØRLUND.
De har et stridigt sind, Dina. 
RÖRLUND.
Sie haben einen streitbaren Sinn, Dina. 
RORLUND.
You are very self-willed, Dina. 
罗 冷
你的性格很倔强。
