Hahaha! Du bist wohl nicht bei Troste, Schwager? Glaubst Du, ich gehöre zu den Kunstreitern? Nein! Zwar hab’ ich vielerlei Künste getrieben und mich auf manche Art zum Narren gemacht –

Ha, ha, ha! Are you mad, brother-in-law? Do you think I belong to the circus troupe? No, certainly I have turned my hand to a good many things and made a fool of myself in a good many ways--

Nej, vi kom såmæn som andre skikkelige folk, – rigtignok på anden plads, men det er vi vant til.

LONA.
Nein, wir kommen wirklich wie andre anständige Leute, – freilich zweite Kajüte; doch daran sind wir gewöhnt.

LONA.
No, we travelled like other respectable folk, second-class, certainly, but we are accustomed to that.
