Note on the transliteration:
The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).
 
Important:
We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(20)釋曰。意界法界意識界。由文句次第故言後(21)三。  此三於初無流。苦法忍一刹那中。非等流(22)生故。言一刹那。    此中苦法忍相應心。謂意(23)界意識界。  與彼共生相應法。 
意法意識名爲(20)後三。於六三中最後説故。唯此三界有一(21)刹那。  謂初無漏苦法忍品。非等流故名一(22)刹那。  此説究竟非等流者。餘有爲法無非(23)等流。  苦法忍相應心名意界意識界。  餘倶起(24)法名爲法界。

應簡擇此義。  若(24)人不與眼界相應。後至得相應。爲與眼識界(25)相應不。  若人與眼識界相應。爲與眼界相應(26)不。 
如是已説異熟生等。今應思(25)擇。  若有眼界先不成就今得成就亦眼識(26)耶。  若眼識界先不成就今得成就亦眼界耶。(27)如是等問。今應略答。頌曰

pṛthak tāvat syāc cakṣurdhātunā na cakṣurvijñānadhātunā |  kāmadhātau krameṇa cakṣurindriyaṃ pratilabhamānaḥ |  ārūpyadhātucyutaś ca dvitīyādiṣu dhyāneṣūpapadyamānaḥ |  syāc cakṣurvijñānadhātunā na cakṣurdhātunā |  dvitīyādidhyānopapannaś cakṣurvijñāna saṃmukhīkurvāṇas tatpracyutaś cādhastād upapadyamānaḥ |  sahāpi syād ubhayena samanvāgamaṃ pratilabhate |  ārūpyadhātucyutaḥ kāmadhātau brahmaloke copapadyamānaḥ | nobhayena |  etān ākārān sthāpayitvā | yaś cakṣurdhātunā samanvāgataś cakṣurvijñānadhātunā ’pi saḥ |  catuṣkoṭikaḥ | prathamā koṭir dvitīyādiṣu dhyāneṣūpapannaś cakṣurvijñānāsaṃmukhīkurvāṇaḥ |  dvitīyā kāmadhātāv alabdhavihīna cakṣuḥ |  tṛtīyā kāmadhātau labdhāvihīnacakṣuḥ prathamadhyānopapanno dvitīyādidhyānopapannaś ca paśyan |  catuṛthy etān ākārān sthāpayitvā |  evaṃ cakṣurdhāturūpadhātvoś cakṣurvijñānarūpadhātvoś ca pratilambhasamanvāgamau yathāyogam abhyūhitavyau |  etasya prasaṅgasya samuccayārthaś caśabdaḥ sahāpi ca iti | 
釋曰。獨(27)得者。有與眼界相應。不與眼識相應。  如人(28)於欲界中次第至得眼根。  或從無色界墮。於(29)第二定等中生。  有與眼識相應。不與眼界(169c1)相應。  如人已生第二定已。引眼識現前。從(2)彼退於下界生。  或倶得者。  有與眼界眼識(3)界一時相應。如人從無色界墮生欲界。或(4)生初定。或倶不得者。  除前三句。若人與眼(5)界相應。爲與眼識界相應不。  有四句。第一句(6)者。若人於第二定等中。已受生不引眼識令(7)現前。  第二句者。若人於欲界未得眼根。及已(8)失眼根。  第三句者。若人於欲界。已得眼根(9)不失。或生初定二定等中正見色。  第四句(10)者。除前三句。  眼界與色界。眼識界與色界。(11)至得句義。應如此思量。  爲引如此思量故。 
(29)論曰。獨得者。謂或有眼界先不成就今得(9c1)成就非眼識。  謂生欲界漸得眼根。  及無色(2)沒生二三四靜慮地時。  或有眼識先不成(3)就今得成就非眼界。  謂生二三四靜慮地(4)眼識現起。及從彼沒生下地時。  倶得者。  謂(5)或有二界先不成就今得成就。謂無色沒(6)生於欲界及梵世時。非者倶非。  謂除前相。(7)等謂若有成就眼界亦眼識耶。  應作四句。(8)第一句者。謂生二三四靜慮地眼識不起。  第(9)二句者。謂生欲界未得眼根及得已失。  第(10)三句者。謂生欲界得眼不失。及生梵世若(11)生二三四靜慮地正見色時。  第四句者。謂(12)除前相。  如是眼界與色界眼識與色界得(13)成就等如理應思。  爲攝如是所未説義。(14)是故頌中總復言等。
