Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(8)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(9)六眾苾芻與苾芻尼。結契為伴同乘一船。事惱同前。(10)制斯學處。若復苾芻與苾芻尼。期乘一船。(11)若沿波若泝流。除直渡。波逸底迦。(12)期乘一船者。謂無心同乘一船安危共同。(13)名曰結契。沿波者。謂下水。泝流者。謂上水。(14)時[醫-酉+言]羅跋底河北施主。請二部僧欲設大會。(15)諸苾芻不敢與尼同乘一船。遂不得食。(16)因開直渡。此中分齊者半半拘盧舍。突色訖里多。(17)滿滿拘盧舍。波逸底迦。對尼境想六句同前。(18)或近圓男與未近圓女。或未近圓男與近圓女。(19)或俱未近圓結伴乘船。咸得惡作。(20)若遠避灘磧。若柁折。若船師不用語。或隨於一岸。(21)八難事生上下無犯。
