Vel sandt; onde norner råder over verden; men deres magt er ringe, ifald de ikke finder hjælpere i vort eget bryst. Lykken times den, der er stærk nok til at stævne i strid mod nornen; – det er det jeg nu vil gøre.
HIÖRDIS.
True enough; evil Norns hold sway over the world; but their might is little if they find not helpers in our own heart. Happy is he who has strength to battle with the Norn--and it is that I have now in hand.
