Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(23)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(24)時鄔陀夷苾芻與女人笈多屏處同坐。因鄔波斯迦事。(25)煩惱同前。制斯學處。(26)若復苾芻獨與一女人屏處坐者。波逸底迦。(27)言女人者。謂堪行婬境人女非餘。言獨一者。(28)更無餘人。屏障者。堪行非處。(29)坐者齊一尋內放身而坐。屏處屏處想疑。皆得墮罪。(583c1)次二句輕。後二無犯。若天女龍女。藥叉健達婆。(2)緊那羅阿蘇羅。畢麗多畢舍遮女。(3)及半稚迦女若未堪行婬境。若聾騃等共屏坐時。(4)咸得惡作。雖是天女而可執持。共彼坐時。(5)亦得墮罪。若遣女人磨藥同在門邊。(6)門扇不掩多人出入。如此之處雖坐非犯。
