Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(27)佛在劫比羅伐窣睹國。(28)時六眾苾芻受大名施主請。既至宅已。見其所設無堪食者。(29)遂詣餘家求乞美膳。得乳酪等。飽足食已。(588c1)還至其舍更不能食。因生譏議。事惱同前。(2)制斯學處。(3)如世尊說。上妙飲食乳酪生酥魚及肉。(4)若苾芻無病。為己詣他家乞取食者。波逸底迦。(5)他家者。非親族也。乞者他不先許。(6)無病而乞無病而食。得波逸底迦及惡作罪。(7)無病從乞有病而食乞。得小罪食時無犯。(8)有病從乞無病而食。乞時無犯。食得墮罪。第四無犯。(9)若乞食時欲得餘物者。他持食與報言。(10)姊妹我飯已足。若彼問言。更何所須者。(11)即便隨情所欲從乞者無犯。若彼施主告苾芻曰。(12)有所須者隨意可索。(13)或乞酪漿彼便施酪或從天龍藥叉舍乞。皆無犯。
