Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(27)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(28)時六眾苾芻詣整兵軍所。動亂兵戈象馬逃奔。令軍慴怖。(29)事惱同前。制斯學處。(590b1)若復苾芻在軍中經二宿。(2)觀整裝軍見先旗兵。若看布陣者。波逸底迦。(3)言整裝軍者。謂是裝束臨將戰時。(4)言先旗者。四種旗中見先引者。何謂四旗。一師子旗。(5)二大牛旗。三鯨魚旗。四金翅鳥旗。(6)兵者四種兵中見首出者。言布陣者。陣有四種。(7)一槊刀勢。二車轅勢。三半月勢。四鵬翼勢。(8)言散兵者。除前所引餘雜兵戎。此中犯者。(9)觀已整軍。即得墮罪。若未整軍得惡作罪。(10)若觀整軍乃至散兵者。俱得墮罪。餘並同前。難緣非犯。
