Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(6)若復苾芻作新羊毛敷具。應用二分純黑。(7)第三分白。第四分麤。若苾芻不用二分純黑。(8)第三分白。第四分麤。作新敷具者。(9)泥薩祇波逸底迦。(10)緣等同前。言第三分白者。(11)謂是脅邊項邊及脊上毛。言第四分麤者。(12)謂頭足腹毛由頭足腹是行動處。毛麤惡故。言不用者。(13)不依兩數便得本罪。無犯者若作十斤毛褥。五斤純黑。(14)二斤半白。二斤半麤。若更增減准此而說。(15)凡欲作褥。應分其毛。以為四分。兩分黑一分白。(16)一分麤黑。中分兩三四義成。隨作褥時。(17)於後二分。或減一兩。乃至半兩。(18)或用純黑已興方便。得惡作罪。成得捨墮。(19)此中犯者據用黑毛由難求故。若後二分用作褥時。(20)隨意少多無犯。若不為已。或得先成。或黑者易得。(21)餘者難求。斤數減增。並成無犯。
