Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(9)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(10)時鄔波難陀犯僧伽伐尸沙罪。有達摩苾芻見。(11)恐其外說遂作是言。爾親教師我先知犯。遏惡揚善。(12)曾不語人。汝見我非理應藏覆。達摩聞已。(13)向諸苾芻說。其事同前。覆藏煩惱。制斯學處。(14)若復苾芻知他苾芻有麤惡罪覆藏者。(15)波逸底迦。(16)知者。謂自見知。或因他說。言苾芻者。(17)若持戒若破戒。有苾芻相。皆曰苾芻。言麤罪者。(18)謂初二部及此方便。覆藏即是掩覆其過。(19)此中犯者。若見聞作覆藏心。至明相出。便得墮罪。(20)自餘諸犯覆皆惡作。破戒人邊設令發露。(21)不成發露境想准知。無犯者。若說他時令自不安。(22)若命梵難。若破僧因緣為護此故。覆皆無犯。
