Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(17)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(18)時有外道造立住處。供給外道沙門婆羅門四方客旅。(19)時六眾苾芻遂久停留。家主出行。便縱身語。(20)向授食女人說非法言。家主伺知漸與麤食。(21)復與外道相打。生世譏嫌事惱同前。制斯學處。(22)若復苾芻於外道住處。得經一宿一食除病因緣。(23)若過者波逸底迦。(24)此由六眾制一宿一食。若過宿重食者。(25)得惡作罪。并波逸底迦。若於此宿在餘處食。(26)得惡作罪。若餘處宿於此處食。得波逸底迦。(27)若經多宿食為食想等境心六句。初重中輕。(28)後二無犯。復因舍利子遇有病緣開食無犯。(29)若是眾集及以親識施主慇懃相留與食。(584c1)若天廟處。或苾芻處。或是遊行外道處。(2)並皆無犯。
