Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(11)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(12)時鄔波難陀以己三衣與依止弟子。弟子得已治染既訖。(13)作己物心還寄師主。便往他方時。(14)彼師主輒取而著。極令垢膩還安本處。(15)弟子後還見衣生惱。由取衣事及廢闕煩惱。制斯學處。(16)若復苾芻受他寄衣。(17)後時不問主輒自著用者。波逸底迦。(18)衣者。謂三衣。不問者。不從他借用者披著。(19)此中犯者。若苾芻與苾芻衣不問主。(20)自取而著。不問不問想疑。取衣著時。(21)二重二輕後二無犯。授學人等衣及不淨衣。不借而用。(22)並得惡作。若親友物彼聞用時。心歡喜者無犯。(23)有說雖實借得作不借想。亦得墮罪。
