Note on the transliteration:

The transliteration system of the BP/TLB is based on the Unicode/UTF-8 system. However, there may be difficulties with some of the letters – particularly on PC/Windows-based systems, but not so much on the Mac. We have chosen the most accepted older and traditional systems of transliteration against, e.g, Wylie for Tibetan, since with Unicode it is possible, in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc., to represent one sound with one letter in almost all the cases (excepting Sanskrit and Tibetan aspirated letters, and Tibetan tsa, tsha, dza). We thus do not use the Wylie system which widely employs two letters for one sound (ng, ny, sh, zh etc.).

Important:

We ask you in particular to note the use of the ’ apostrophe and not the ' representing the avagrāha in Sanskrit, and most important the ’a-chuṅ in Tibetan. On the Mac the ’ is Alt-M.

(11)佛在室羅伐城給孤獨園。(12)有諸苾芻從王舍城詣室羅伐悉底。時有織師與婦共鬥。(13)其婦遂便捨家而去。苾芻見之。與為同伴。(14)在路而行。是時織師隨後尋見。謂其[言*玄]誘打之次死。(15)由道行事譏嫌煩惱。制斯學處。(16)若復苾芻共女人同道行。更無男子。(17)乃至一村間者。波逸底迦。(18)言無男子者。謂唯有女。言一村間者。(19)謂一拘盧舍。若半拘盧舍。皆得惡作。(20)滿拘盧舍。皆得墮罪。若無男子境想。六句同前。(21)下二無犯。女為女想。亦有六句。(22)若化女天女龍女半稚迦女。若二根。若未堪行婬女。(23)同路行時。咸得惡作。有說若無女作有女想。(24)有男作無男想。亦得本罪。(25)若過險路以女人為防援者。或時失道女人指示。斯皆無犯。
