ג. וַיְעַנְּךָ וַיַּרְעִבֶךָ וַיַּאֲכִלְךָ אֶת הַמָּן אֲשֶׁר לֹא יָדַעְתָּ וְלֹא יָדְעוּן אֲבֹתֶיךָ לְמַעַן הוֹדִיעֲךָ כִּי לֹא עַל הַלֶּחֶם לְבַדּוֹ יִחְיֶה הָאָדָם כִּי עַל כָּל מוֹצָא פִי יְהֹוָה יִחְיֶה הָאָדָם:
καὶ ἐκάκωσέν σε καὶ ἐλιμαγχόνησέν σε καὶ ἐψώμισέν σε τὸ μαννα ὃ οὐκ εἴδησαν οἱ πατέρες σου ἵνα ἀναγγείλῃ σοι ὅτι οὐκ ἐπ᾽ ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἀλλ᾽ ἐπὶ παντὶ ῥήματι τῷ ἐκπορευομένῳ διὰ στόματος θεοῦ ζήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος
3 ܡܲܟ̇ܟ݂ܵܟ݂ ܘܐܲܟ݂ܦܢܵܟ݂ ܘܐܵܘܟ̇ܠܵܟ݂ ܡܲܢ̄ܢܵܐ ܕܠܵܐ ܝܼܕܲܥܸܬ̣ ܘܠܵܐ ܝܲܕ݂ܥܘܼܗܝ ܐܲܒ̣ܵܗܲܝ̈ܟ ܕܲܢܚܵܘܹܝܟ݂ ܕܠܵܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ ܒܠܲܚܡܵܐ ܒܲܠܚܘܿܕ݂ ܚܵܝܹܐ ܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ ܐܸܠܵܐ ܒܟ݂ܠܡܸܕܸ̇ܡ ܕܡܲܦܸܩ ܦܘܼܡܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܵܝܹܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܫܵܐ.
Afflixit te penuria, et dedit tibi cibum manna, quod ignorabas tu et patres tui: ut ostenderet tibi quod non in solo pane vivat homo, sed in omni verbo quod egreditur de ore Dei.
შე-ღათუ-გაურვა შენ სიყმილითა უდაბნოსა მას, მანანაჲ იგი გაჭამა შენ, რომელ არა იცოდე შენ, არცა მამათა შენთა, რათა გულისხმა-გიყო შენ, რამეთუ არა პურითა ხოლო ცხონდების კაცი, არამედ ყოვლითა სიტყჳთა, რომელი გამოვალს პირისაგან ღმრთისაჲსა, ცხონდების კაცი.
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
