Þa (7) for hon i jǫtủnheima oc gat þar (8) iiij ſono við jotni nockorom. Hon (9) bra þeim i yxnalike oc førðe þa (10) fyrir plógiɴ oc dró landit ủt a (11) hafit oc veſtr gegnt Oðens ey. (12) oc er þat cǫllot Selủnd. þar byg-(13)-ðe hon ſiþan.

Þá (15) fór hon i Jǫtunheima ok gat þar fjóra sonu við jǫtni nǫkkurum. Hon brá þeim i yxnalíki ok fœrði þá fyrir plóginn ok dró landit út á hafit ok vestr gegnt Óðinsey, ok er þat kǫlluð Selund. Þar byggði hon síðan.

So fór ho til Jotunheim, og fekk der fire sønir med ein jotun; ho skapa deim um til uksar, og spende deim for plogen og drog lande ut i have gjegnt imot Odinsøy; de kallar dei Selund, og der budde ho sidan.

Saa får hun til jåtnernes hjem og avlede der fire sønner med en jåtun; dem skabte hun om til oxer, spændte dem for plogen og drog saa landet ud i havet mod vest ligeoverfor Odensø; det blev kaldt Selund, og der byggede hun siden.

Next she went to a giant's home and there begot four sons with a giant. She shaped them in the likeness of oxen, yoked them to a plough and broke up the land unto the sea westwards opposite Odensö; it was called Selund, and there she dwelt after(4)wards.
