Alfr ſonr Yng-(15)-vars konongs oc Ingialdr ſonr Ǫnondar konongs. þeir eflðo til ſveina leics, oc ſcyldi hváʀ (16) ráða fyrir síno liði. Oc er þeir lekủz (17) viðr var Ingialdr oſterkari en Álfr (18) oc þótti honom þat ſva illt at hann gret (19) mioc.

Álfr, sonr Yngvars konungs, ok Ingjaldr, sonr Ǫnundar konungs, þeir eflðu til sveinaleiks, ok skyldi hvárr ráða fyrir sínu liði. Ok er þeir lékusk viðr, var Ingjaldr ósterkari en Álfr, ok þótti honum þat svá illt, at hann grét mjǫk.

baade han Alv son til kong Yngvar, og han Ingjald, son til kong Onund. Dei stelte til ein guteleik, og kvar skulde raa yvi sin flokk. Men daa dei leika med kvarandre, var Ingjald veikare enn Alv, og dette totte han var so harmelegt, at han grét.

Alv, kong Yngvars søn, og Ingjald, kong Anunds søn, satte i gang en gutte-leg, og skulde hver raade for sin hær; men da de legte med hinanden, var Ingjald mindre sterk end Alv, og det tyktes ham saa ilde, at han græd meget.

Alf, King Yngvar's son, and Ingjald, King Anund's son, started some boyish game, and each commanded his own army, but when they played with each other, lngjald was not so strong as Alf and it seemed so unfair to him that he wept loudly.
