Eptir þetta var Ingialdr konongr ſtaddr nꜹþolega (16) oc fecc ſar morg. oc comz við þetta a (17) flótta til ſcipa sinna. En þar fell (18) Suipdagr blindi foſtri hans, oc ſynir hans (19) baþir Gꜹtviðr oc Hylviðr.

Eptir þetta var Ingjaldr konungr staddr nauðuliga ok fekk sár mǫrg ok komsk við þetta á flótta til skipa sinna, en þar fell Svipdagr blindi, fóstri hans, ok synir hans báðir, Gautviðr ok Hulviðr.

Dermed kom kong Ingjald i stor naud og fekk mange saar og kom seg undan og flydde til skipi sine. Men der fall Svipdag Blinde, fosterfar hans, og baae sønine hans, Gautvid og Hulvid.
