sullúbri erbines ebheni talahhùm,
talahhùm ebheni hâsarri búzihum,
búzihum hâsarri nahhab úlanum.

kugullan UR.GI₇-as UDUN-nia piran arha pittenut
parânkan huittiat UDUN-niaz nankan Ì-i anda
súniat, sakniankan anda súniat nasza esat nan adânna dais.

A dog took (away) a sullubri-cake in a bakery.
He took it in a bakery, dipped it in oil.
He dipped it in oil, sat down, enjoyed (it).

erbi mânnùbur mânni tarsubâni.
amúmineba mânni ebres nahhilâi
telibba hâùlimâin ardijdan erâna.

U.UL UR.GI₇-as nu antuwahhas maniahhias ishân
kuin BEL-ŠU iezi. nussan abedani URU-ri EGIR-an
IGI.DU₈.HI.A dânna maknut.

It is not a dog; it is a human being.
He is one whom his lord installs as administrator,
but he increases the tribute from his city, taking (some of) it for himself.

nas mekki sullit nasta namma URU-an anda natta
auszi, nanza PANI BELIŠU isiahhuanzi tarhuir
nu IGI.DU₈.HI.A kue pâsiskit nat PANI BELIŠU
lilhuwan dais.

He becomes arrogant, insolent and quarrelsome? and ignores his city.
They (the citizens) succeed in reporting him to the lord,
and he has to spit out?/return? the unlawfully acquired assets to the lord.
