Þeir gengu út ok til ins nýja sals, báru þar eld at, ok því næst tók salrinn at loga, ok brunnu þar inni sex konungar ok lið þeira allt, ok þeir, er út leituðu, þá váru skjótt drepnir.

Dei gjekk ut og burt til den nye salen og kveikte eld paa han, og strakst tok salen til aa loga upp. Der brann seks kongar inne og alt folke deira; men dei, som freista paa aa koma seg (38) ut, vart radt drepne.
