5 The Gospel According to Saint Mark

Καὶ ἦλθον εἰς τὸ πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης εἰς τὴν χώραν τῶν Γερασηνῶν.

Et venerunt trans fretum maris in regionem Gerasenorum.

1 და მოვიდეს წიაღ ზღუასა მას, სოფელსა მას ღადარინელთასა.

And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

καὶ ἐξελθόντος αὐτοῦ ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου [εὐθὺς] ὑπήντησεν αὐτῷ ἐκ τῶν μνημείων ἄνθρωπος ἐν πνεύματι ἀκαθάρτῳ,

Et exeunti ei de navi, statim occurrit de monumentis homo in spiritu immundo,

2 და ვითარცა გამოვიდა იგი ნავით, მეყსეულად მოეგებვოდა მას საფლავებისაგან კაცი, რომლისა თანა იყო არაწმიდაჲ სული,

And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

ὃς τὴν κατοίκησιν εἶχεν ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν, καὶ οὐδὲ ἁλύσει οὐκέτι οὐδεὶς ἐδύνατο αὐτὸν δῆσαι

qui domicilium habebat in monumentis, et neque catenis jam quisquam poterat eum ligare:

3 რომელსა საყოფლადვე აქუნდა საფლავები და არცაღა ჯაჭუებითა ვის ჴელ-ეწიფა შეკრვად იგი.

Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

διὰ τὸ αὐτὸν πολλάκις πέδαις καὶ ἁλύσεσι δεδέσθαι καὶ διεσπάσθαι ὑπ᾽ αὐτοῦ τὰς ἁλύσεις καὶ τὰς πέδας συντετρίφθαι, καὶ οὐδεὶς ἴσχυεν αὐτὸν δαμάσαι:

quoniam sæpe compedibus et catenis vinctus, dirupisset catenas, et compedes comminuisset, et nemo poterat eum domare:

4 რამეთუ მრავალ გზის ჯაჭჳთა და ბორკილითა შეკრულ იყო იგი და განხეთქის და შემუსრის, და არავის ეძლო დაყენებად მისა.

Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

καὶ διὰ παντὸς νυκτὸς καὶ ἡμέρας ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ὄρεσιν ἦν κράζων καὶ κατακόπτων ἑαυτὸν λίθοις.

et semper die ac nocte in monumentis, et in montibus erat, clamans, et concidens se lapidibus.

5 და მარადის ღამე და დღე საფლავებსა და მთათა გარე იქცევინ, ღაღადებნ და დაიკოდნ თავსა თჳსსა ლოდითა.

And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

καὶ ἰδὼν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἔδραμεν καὶ προσεκύνησεν αὐτόν,

Videns autem Jesum a longe, cucurrit, et adoravit eum:

6 და ვითარცა იხილა მან იესუ შორით, მორბიოდა და თაყუანის-სცა,

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

καὶ κράξας φωνῇ μεγάλῃ λέγει Τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοί, Ἰησοῦ υἱὲ τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ὑψίστου; ὁρκίζω δε τὸν θεόν, μή με βασανίσῃς.

et clamans voce magna dixit: Quid mihi et tibi, Jesu Fili Dei altissimi? adjuro te per Deum, ne me torqueas.

7 ღაღადებდა ჴმითა დიდითა და იტყოდა: რაჲ ძეს ჩემი და შენი, იესუ, ძეო ღმრთისა მაღლისაო? გაფუცებ შენ ღმერთსა, ნუ მტანჯავ მე.

And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

ἔλεγεν γὰρ αὐτῷ Ἔξελθε τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἀκάθαρτον ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου.

Dicebat enim illi: Exi spiritus immunde ab homine.

8 რამეთუ ეტყოდა მას იესუ: სული ეგე არაწმიდაჲ, განვედ კაცისა მაგისგან!

For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

καὶ ἐπηρώτα αὐτόν Τί ὄνομά σοι; καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ Λεγιὼν ὄνομά μοι, ὅτι πολλοί ἐσμεν:

Et interrogabat eum: Quod tibi nomen est? Et dicit ei: Legio mihi nomen est, quia multi sumus.

9 და ჰკითხა მას: რაჲ არს სახელი შენი? და ჰრქუა მას: ლეგეონ არს სახელი ჩემი, რამეთუ მრავალ ვართ.

And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

καὶ παρεκάλει αὐτὸν πολλὰ ἵνα μὴ αὐτὰ ἀποστείλῃ ἔξω τῆς χώρας.

Et deprecabatur eum multum, ne se expelleret extra regionem.

10 და ევედრებოდა მას ფრიად, რაჲთა არა განასხნეს იგინი გარეშე სოფელსა.

And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

Ἦν δὲ ἐκεῖ πρὸς τῷ ὄρει ἀγέλη χοίρων μεγάλη βοσκομένη:

Erat autem ibi circa montem grex porcorum magnus, pascens.

11 და იყო მუნ კოლტი ღორთაჲ დიდძალი, მთასა გარე მძოვარი.

Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

καὶ παρεκάλεσαν αὐτὸν λέγοντες Πέμψον ἡμᾶς εἰς τοὺς χοίρους, ἵνα εἰς αὐτοὺς εἰσέλθωμεν.

Et deprecabantur eum spiritus, dicentes: Mitte nos in porcos ut in eos introëamus.

12 და ევედრებოდეს მას ყოველნი იგი ეშმაკნი და ეტყოდეს: მიმავლინენ ჩუენ ღორებსა იმას, რაჲთა მათა შევიდეთ.

And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

καὶ ἐπέτρεψεν αὐτοῖς. καὶ ἐξελθόντα τὰ πνεύματα τὰ ἀκάθαρτα εἰσῆλθον εἰς τοὺς χοίρους, καὶ ὥρμησεν ἡ ἀγέλη κατὰ τοῦ κρημνοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, ὡς δισχίλιοι, καὶ ἐπνίγοντο ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ.

Et concessit eis statim Jesus. Et exeuntes spiritus immundi introierunt in porcos: et magno impetu grex præcipitatus est in mare ad duo millia, et suffocati sunt in mari.

13 და უბრძანა მათ. და განვიდა სულები იგი არაწმიდაჲ კაცისა მისგან და შევიდა ღორებსა მას. და მიიმართა კოლტმან მან ღორებისამან კბოდესა მას ზღუად, რამეთუ იყვნეს ვითარ ორ ათას და დაიშთვნეს ზღუასა მას შინა.

And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

Καὶ οἱ βόσκοντες αὐτοὺς ἔφυγον καὶ ἀπήγγειλαν εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ εἰς τοὺς ἀγρούς: καὶ ἦλθον ἰδεῖν τί ἐστιν τὸ γεγονός.

Qui autem pascebant eos, fugerunt, et nuntiaverunt in civitatem et in agros. Et egressi sunt videre quid esset factum:

14 ხოლო მწყემსნი იგი მათნი ივლტოდეს და უთხრეს ქალაქსა და დაბნებსა. და გამოვიდეს ხილვად, რაჲ-ძი არს, რომელი-იგი იქმნა.

And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

καὶ ἔρχονται πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν, καὶ θεωροῦσιν τὸν δαιμονιζόμενον καθήμενον ἱματισμένον καὶ σωφρονοῦντα, τὸν ἐσχηκότα τὸν λεγιῶνα, καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν.

et veniunt ad Jesum: et vident illum qui a dæmonio vexabatur, sedentem, vestitum, et sanæ mentis, et timuerunt.

15 და მოვიდეს იესუჲსა და იხილეს ეშმაკეული იგი მჯდომარე, შემოსილი და გონიერი, რომლისა თანა-იგი ყოფილ იყო ლეგეონი. და შეეშინა.

And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

καὶ διηγήσαντο αὐτοῖς οἱ ἰδόντες πῶς ἐγένετο τῷ δαιμονιζομένῳ καὶ περὶ τῶν χοίρων.

Et narraverunt illis, qui viderant, qualiter factum esset ei qui dæmonium habuerat, et de porcis.

16 და უთხრობდეს მათ, რომელთა-იგი ეხილვა, ვითარ-იგი იქმნა ეშმაკეულისა მისთჳს და ღორებისა მისთჳს.

And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

καὶ ἤρξαντο παρακαλεῖν αὐτὸν ἀπελθεῖν ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων αὐτῶν.

Et rogare cœperunt eum ut discederet de finibus eorum.

17 და ევედრებოდეს მას, რაჲთა წარვიდეს საზღვართა მათთაგან.

And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

Καὶ ἐμβαίνοντος αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ πλοῖον παρεκάλει αὐτὸν ὁ δαιμονισθεὶς ἵνα μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ᾖ.

Cumque ascenderet navim, cœpit illum deprecari, qui a dæmonio vexatus fuerat, ut esset cum illo,

18 და აღ-რაჲ-ვიდა იესუ ნავსა, ევედრებოდა მას, რომელი-იგი იყო პირველ ეშმაკეული, რაჲთა მის თანა იყოს.

And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

καὶ οὐκ ἀφῆκεν αὐτόν, ἀλλὰ λέγει αὐτῷ Ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου πρὸς τοὺς σούς, καὶ ἀπάγγειλον αὐτοῖς ὅσα ὁ κύριός σοι πεποίηκεν καὶ ἠλέησέν σε.

et non admisit eum, sed ait illi: Vade in domum tuam ad tuos, et annuntia illis quanta tibi Dominus fecerit, et misertus sit tui.

19 და არა უტევა იგი, არამედ ჰრქუა მას: წარვედ სახიდ შენდა თჳსთა შენთა თანა და უთხარ მათ, რაოდენი გიყო შენ უფალმან და შეგიწყალა.

Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

καὶ ἀπῆλθεν καὶ ἤρξατο κηρύσσειν ἐν τῇ Δεκαπόλει ὅσα ἐποίησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς, καὶ πάντες ἐθαύμαζον.

Et abiit, et cœpit prædicare in Decapoli, quanta sibi fecisset Jesus: et omnes mirabantur.

20 და წარვიდა იგი და იწყო ქადაგებად ათქალაქსა მას, რაოდენი უყო მას იესუ; და ყოველთა უკჳრდა.

And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

Καὶ διαπεράσαντος τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ πάλιν εἰς τὸ πέραν συνήχθη ὄχλος πολὺς ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν, καὶ ἦν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν.

Et cum transcendisset Jesus in navi rursum trans fretum, convenit turba multa ad eum, et erat circa mare.

21 და წაიღჴდა რაჲ კუალად იესუ მიერ კერძო, შეკრბა მისა ერი დიდძალი. და იყო ზღჳს კიდესა.

And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.

Καὶ ἔρχεται εἷς τῶν ἀρχισυναγώγων, ὀνόματι Ἰάειρος,

Et venit quidam de archisynagogis nomine Jairus, et videns eum procidit ad pedes ejus,

22 და აჰა მო-ვინმე-ვიდა მისა ერთი შესაკრებელის-მთავარი, სახელი მისი იაიროს; იხილა იგი და შეუვრდა ფერჴთა მისთა.

And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὸν πίπτει πρὸς τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ καὶ παρακαλεῖ αὐτὸν πολλὰ λέγων ὅτι Τὸ θυγάτριόν μου ἐσχάτως ἔχει, ἵνα ἐλθὼν ἐπιθῇς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῇ ἵνα σωθῇ καὶ ζήσῃ.

et deprecabatur eum multum, dicens: Quoniam filia mea in extremis est, veni, impone manum super eam, ut salva sit, et vivat.

23 და ევედრებო მას ფრიად და ეტყოდა, ვითარმედ: ასული ჩემი აღესრულების, რაჲთა მოხჳდე და დაასხნე ჴელნი მას ზედა, და განერეს და ცხოვნდეს.

And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

καὶ ἀπῆλθεν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ. Καὶ ἠκολούθει αὐτῷ ὄχλος πολύς, καὶ συνέθλιβον αὐτόν.

Et abiit cum illo, et sequebatur eum turba multa, et comprimebant eum.

24 და წარვიდა იესუ მის თანა. და მისდევდა მას ერი მრავალი და შეაურვებდეს მას.

And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

καὶ γυνὴ οὖσα ἐν ῥύσει αἵματος δώδεκα ἔτη

Et mulier, quæ erat in profluvio sanguinis annis duodecim,

25 და დედაკაცი ვინმე იყო მუნ, რომელი იყო წყაროჲთა სისხლისაჲთა გუემულ ათორმეტ წელ.

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

καὶ πολλὰ παθοῦσα ὑπὸ πολλῶν ἰατρῶν καὶ δαπανήσασα τὰ παρ᾽ αὐτῆς πάντα καὶ μηδὲν ὠφεληθεῖσα ἀλλὰ μᾶλλον εἰς τὸ χεῖρον ἐλθοῦσα,

et fuerat multa perpessa a compluribus medicis: et erogaverat omnia sua, nec quidquam profecerat, sed magis deterius habebat:

26 და ფრიად ვნებულ იყო იგი მრავალთაგან მკურნალთა და წარეგო ყოველივე მისი და არარაჲ სარგებელ ეყო, არამედ უფროჲსად უძჳრესად მოვიდა.

And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

ἀκούσασα τὰ περὶ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ, ἐλθοῦσα ἐν τῷ ὄχλῳ ὄπισθεν ἥψατο τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ:

cum audisset de Jesu, venit in turba retro, et tetigit vestimentum ejus:

27 და ვითარცა ესმა იესუჲსთჳს, მოუჴდა მას ერსა მას შორის ზურგით კერძო და შეახო სამოსელსა მისსა,

When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

ἔλεγεν γὰρ ὅτι Ἐὰν ἅψωμαι κἂν τῶν ἱματίων αὐτοῦ σωθήσομαι.

dicebat enim: Quia si vel vestimentum ejus tetigero, salva ero.

28 რამეთუ იტყოდა გულსა შინა თჳსსა: დაღათუ სამოსელსა ოდენ მისსა შევეხო, ვცხონდე.

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

καὶ εὐθὺς ἐξηράνθη ἡ πηγὴ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτῆς, καὶ ἔγνω τῷ σώματι ὅτι ἴαται ἀπὸ τῆς μάστιγος.

Et confestim siccatus est fons sanguinis ejus: et sensit corpore quia sanata esset a plaga.

29 და ვითარცა შეეხო, მეყსეულად განჴმა წყაროჲ იგი სისხლისაჲ მის, და ცნა ჴორცთაგან, რამეთუ განიკურნა გუემულებისაგან.

And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

καὶ εὐθὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐπιγνοὺς ἐν ἑαυτῷ τὴν ἐξ αὐτοῦ δύναμιν ἐξελθοῦσαν ἐπιστραφεὶς ἐν τῷ ὄχλῳ ἔλεγεν Τίς μου ἥψατο τῶν ἱματίων;

Et statim Jesus in semetipso cognoscens virtutem quæ exierat de illo, conversus ad turbam, aiebat: Quis tetigit vestimenta mea?

30 ხოლო იესუ გულისჴმა-ყო მეყსეულად თავით თჳსით განსრული იგი ძალი მისგან, მოიქცა ერისა მის და თქუა: ვინ შემახო სამოსელსა ჩემსა?

And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

καὶ ἔλεγον αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ Βλέπεις τὸν ὄχλον συνθλίβοντά σε, καὶ λέγεις Τίς μου ἥψατο;

Et dicebant ei discipuli sui: Vides turbam comprimentem te, et dicis: Quis me tetigit?

31 ხოლო მოწაფენი მისნი ეტყოდეს მას: ხედავ ერსა ამას, რამეთუ შეგაჭირვებენ შენ, და შენ იტყჳ: ვინ შემახო მე?

And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

καὶ περιεβλέπετο ἰδεῖν τὴν τοῦτο ποιήσασαν.

Et circumspiciebat videre eam, quæ hoc fecerat.

32 და მიმოხედვიდა, რაჲთა იხილოს, რომელმან ესე ყო.

And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

ἡ δὲ γυνὴ φοβηθεῖσα καὶ τρέμουσα, εἰδυῖα ὃ γέγονεν αὐτῇ, ἦλθεν καὶ προσέπεσεν αὐτῷ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ πᾶσαν τὴν ἀλήθειαν.

Mulier vero timens et tremens, sciens quod factum esset in se, venit et procidit ante eum, et dixit ei omnem veritatem.

33 ხოლო დედაკაცსა მას შეეშინა და ძრწოდა, უწყოდა, რაჲ-იგი იქმნა მის ზედა, მოვიდა და შეუვრდა მას და უთხრა მას ყოველივე ჭეშმარიტი.

But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῇ Θυγάτηρ, ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε: ὕπαγε εἰς εἰρήνην, καὶ ἴσθι ὑγιὴς ἀπὸ τῆς μάστιγός σου.

Ille autem dixit ei: Filia, fides tua te salvam fecit: vade in pace, et esto sana a plaga tua.

34 ხოლო თავადმან ჰრქუა მას: ასულო, სარწმუნოებამან შენმან გაცხოვნა შენ, წარვედ მშჳდობით და იყავ შენ ცოცხალ გუემულებისაგან შენისა.

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος ἔρχονται ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγου λέγοντες ὅτι Ἡ θυγάτηρ σου ἀπέθανεν: τί ἔτι σκύλλεις τὸν διδάσκαλον;

Adhuc eo loquente, veniunt ab archisynagogo, dicentes: Quia filia tua mortua est: quid ultra vexas magistrum?

35 და ვითარ იგი ამას იტყოდა, მოვიდეს შესაკრებლის-მთავრისანი მის და ეტყოდეს: ასული შენი აღესრულა, რაჲსაღა აშრომებ მოძღუარსა?

While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς παρακούσας τὸν λόγον λαλούμενον λέγει τῷ ἀρχισυναγώγῳ Μὴ φοβοῦ, μόνον πίστευε.

Jesus autem audito verbo quod dicebatur, ait archisynagogo: Noli timere: tantummodo crede.

36 ხოლო იესუს ვითარ ესმნეს სიტყუანი ესე, რომელსა ეტყოდეს, ჰრქუა შესაკრებელთ-მთავარსა მას: ნუ გეშინინ, გარნა გრწმენინ ხოლო.

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

καὶ οὐκ ἀφῆκεν οὐδένα μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ συνακολουθῆσαι εἰ μὴ τὸν Πέτρον καὶ Ἰάκωβον καὶ Ἰωάνην τὸν ἀδελφὸν Ἰακώβου.

Et non admisit quemquam se sequi nisi Petrum, et Jacobum, et Joannem fratrem Jacobi.

37 და არავინ უტევა მიდევნებად მის თანა, გარნა პეტრე და იაკობ და იოვანე, ძმაჲ იაკობისი.

And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγου, καὶ θεωρεῖ θόρυβον καὶ κλαίοντας καὶ ἀλαλάζοντας πολλά,

Et veniunt in domum archisynagogi, et videt tumultum, et flentes, et ejulantes multum.

38 და მოვიდა სახლსა მას შესაკრებლთ-მთავრისასა და იხილა შფოთი და ტირილი და ღაღადებაჲ ფრიადი.

And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

καὶ εἰσελθὼν λέγει αὐτοῖς Τί θορυβεῖσθε καὶ κλαίετε; τὸ παιδίον οὐκ ἀπέθανεν ἀλλὰ καθεύδει.

Et ingressus, ait illis: Quid turbamini, et ploratis? puella non est mortua, sed dormit.

39 და შევიდა და ჰრქუა მათ: რაჲსა აღშფოთებულ ხართ და სტირთ? ყრმაჲ ეგე არა მომკუდარ არს, არამედ სძინავს.

And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

καὶ κατεγέλων αὐτοῦ. αὐτὸς δὲ ἐκβαλὼν πάντας παραλαμβάνει τὸν πατέρα τοῦ παιδίου καὶ τὴν μητέρα καὶ τοὺς μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἰσπορεύεται ὅπου ἦν τὸ παιδίον:

Et irridebant eum. Ipse vero ejectis omnibus assumit patrem, et matrem puellæ, et qui secum erant, et ingreditur ubi puella erat jacens.

40 და იგინი ჰბასრობდეს მას. ხოლო თავადმან გამოასხა ყოველი იგი შფოთი და მიიყვანა მამაჲ მის ყრმასაჲ და დედაჲ და მოწაფენი მისნი და შევიდა, სადა-იგი იდვა მკუდარი და იგი ყრმაჲ.

And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

καὶ κρατήσας τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ παιδίου λέγει αὐτῇ Ταλειθά κούμ, ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον Τὸ κοράσιον, σοὶ λέγω, ἔγειρε.

Et tenens manum puellæ, ait illi: Talitha cumi, quod est interpretatum: Puella (tibi dico), surge.

41 და უპყრა ჴელი ყრმისაჲ მის და ჰრქუა მას: ტალითა კუმი! რომელ არს თარგმანებით: შენ გეტყჳ, ყრმაო, აღდეგ!

And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

καὶ εὐθὺς ἀνέστη τὸ κοράσιον καὶ περιεπάτει, ἦν γὰρ ἐτῶν δώδεκα. καὶ ἐξέστησαν εὐθὺς ἐκστάσει μεγάλῃ.

Et confestim surrexit puella, et ambulabat: erat autem annorum duodecim: et obstupuerunt stupore magno.

42 და მეყსეულად აღდგა ქალი იგი და იწყო სლვად, რამეთუ იყო იგი ათორმეტის წლის ოდენ. და განუკჳრდებოდა მათ განკჳრვებითა დიდითა ფრიად.

And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

καὶ διεστείλατο αὐτοῖς πολλὰ ἵνα μηδεὶς γνοῖ τοῦτο, καὶ εἶπεν δοθῆναι αὐτῇ φαγεῖν.

Et præcepit illis vehementer ut nemo id sciret: et dixit dari illi manducare.

43 და ამცნებდა მათ ფრიად, რაჲთა არავინ აგრძნას ესე, და უბრძანა მათ, რაჲთა სცენ მას ჭამადი.

And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
