14 The Gospel According to Saint Mark

ΗΝ ΔΕ ΤΟ ΠΑΣΧΑ καὶ τὰ ἄζυμα μετὰ δύο ἡμέρας. Καὶ ἐζήτουν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς πῶς αὐτὸν ἐν δόλῳ κρατήσαντες ἀποκτείνωσιν,

Erat autem Pascha et azyma post biduum: et quærebant summi sacerdotes et scribæ quomodo eum dolo tenerent, et occiderent.

1 ხოლო იყო პასქაჲ იგი, რომელ არს ვნებაჲ, და უცომოებაჲ, შემდგომად ორისა დღისა. და ეძიებდეს მღდელთ-მოძღუარნი იგი და მწიგნობარნი იესუს, ვითარმცა ზაკუვით შეიპყრეს იგი და მოკლეს.

After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

ἔλεγον γάρ Μὴ ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ, μή ποτε ἔσται θόρυβος τοῦ λαοῦ.

Dicebant autem: Non in die festo, ne forte tumultus fieret in populo.

2 ხოლო იტყოდეს: ნუ დღესასწაულსა ამას, ნუუკუე შფოთი იქმნეს ერისაჲ.

But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.

Καὶ ὄντος αὐτοῦ ἐν Βηθανίᾳ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ Σίμωνος τοῦ λεπροῦ κατακειμένου αὐτοῦ ἦλθεν γυνὴ ἔχουσα ἀλάβαστρον μύρου νάρδου πιστικῆς πολυτελοῦς συντρίψασα τὴν ἀλάβαστρον κατέχεεν αὐτοῦ τῆς κεφαλῆς.

Et cum esset Bethaniæ in domo Simonis leprosi, et recumberet, venit mulier habens alabastrum unguenti nardi spicati pretiosi: et fracto alabastro, effudit super caput ejus.

3 და ვითარცა იყო იესუ ბეთანიას, სახლსა სიმონ კეთროვნისასა და ინაჴით-ჯდა იგი, მოვიდა დედაკაცი და აქუნდა ალაბასტრითა ნელსაცხებელი ნარდისა სარწმუნოჲსაჲ, მრავალ-სასყიდლისაჲ, და შემუსრა ალაბასტრი იგი და დაასხა თავსა მისსა.

And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

ἦσαν δέ τινες ἀγανακτοῦντες πρὸς ἑαυτούς Εἰς τί ἡ ἀπώλεια αὕτη τοῦ μύρου γέγονεν;

Erant autem quidam indigne ferentes intra semetipsos, et dicentes: Ut quid perditio ista unguenti facta est?

4 იყვნეს ვინმე, რომელნი დრტჳნვიდეს ურთიერთას და იტყოდეს: რაჲსათჳს იქმნა წარწყმედაჲ ნელსაცხებლისაჲ ამის?

And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

ἠδύνατο γὰρ τοῦτο τὸ μύρον πραθῆναι ἐπάνω δηναρίων τριακοσίων καὶ δοθῆναι τοῖς πτωχοῖς: καὶ ἐνεβριμῶντο αὐτῇ.

poterat enim unguentum istud venundari plus quam trecentis denariis, et dari pauperibus. Et fremebant in eam.

5 რამეთუ შესაძლებელ იყო ესე განსყიდად უფროჲს სამასისა დრაჰკნისა და მიცემად გლახაკთა და ჰრისხვიდეს მას.

For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Ἅφετε αὐτήν: τί αὐτῇ κόπους παρέχετε; καλὸν ἔργον ἠργάσατο ἐν ἐμοί:

Jesus autem dixit: Sinite eam, quid illi molesti estis? Bonum opus operata est in me:

6 ხოლო იესუ ჰრქუა მათ: აცადეთ მაგას, რაჲსა შრომასა შეამთხუევთ? რამეთუ საქმე კეთილი ქმნა ჩემ თანა.

And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

πάντοτε γὰρ τοὺς πτωχοὺς ἔχετε μεθ᾽ ἑαυτῶν, καὶ ὅταν θέλητε δύνασθε αὐτοῖς [πάντοτε] εὖ ποιῆσαι, ἐμὲ δὲ οὐ πάντοτε ἔχετε:

semper enim pauperes habetis vobiscum: et cum volueritis, potestis illis benefacere: me autem non semper habetis.

7 რამეთუ გლახაკნი მარადის თქუენ თანა არიან. უკუეთუ გინდეს, ძალ-გიც კეთილის-ყოფად მათა, ხოლო მე არა მარადის თქუენ თანა ვარ.

For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

ὃ ἔσχεν ἐποίησεν, προέλαβεν μυρίσαι τὸ σῶμά μου εἰς τὸν ἐνταφιασμόν.

Quod habuit hæc, fecit: prævenit ungere corpus meum in sepulturam.

8 რომელი აქუნდა, ყო, უსწრო ნელსაცხებელითა ცხებად ჴორცთა ჩემთა დასაფლველად ჩემდა.

She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

ἀμὴν δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν, ὅπου ἐὰν κηρυχθῇ τὸ εὐαγγέλιον εἰς ὅλον τὸν κόσμον, καὶ ὃ ἐποίησεν αὕτη λαληθήσεται εἰς μνημόσυνον αὐτῆς.

Amen dico vobis: Ubicumque prædicatum fuerit Evangelium istud in universo mundo, et quod fecit hæc, narrabitur in memoriam ejus.

9 ამენ გეტყჳ თქუენ: სადაცა იქადაგოს სახარებაჲ ესე ყოველსა სოფელსა, და რომელიცა-ესე ქმნა, ითქუმოდის საჴსენებელად მაგისა.

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Καὶ Ἰούδας Ἰσκαριὼθ ὁ εἷς τῶν δώδεκα ἀπῆλθεν πρὸς τοὺς ἀρχιερεῖς ἵνα αὐτὸν παραδοῖ αὐτοῖς.

Et Judas Iscariotes, unus de duodecim, abiit ad summos sacerdotes, ut proderet eum illis.

10 და იუდა ისკარიოტელი, ერთი ათორმეტთაგანი, წარვიდა მღდელთ-მოძღუართა მათ მიმართ, რაჲთა მისცეს იგი მათ.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.

οἱ δὲ ἀκούσαντες ἐχάρησαν καὶ ἐπηγγείλαντο αὐτῷ ἀργύριον δοῦναι. καὶ ἐζήτει πῶς αὐτὸν εὐκαίρως παραδοῖ.

Qui audientes gavisi sunt: et promiserunt ei pecuniam se daturos. Et quærebat quomodo illum opportune traderet.

11 ხოლო მათ ვითარცა ესმა ესე მისგან, განიხარეს და აღუთქუეს მას მიცემად ვეცხლი. და ეძიებდა, ვითარმცა ჟამსა მარჯუესა მისცა იგი მათ.

And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

Καὶ τῇ πρώτῃ ἡμέρᾳ τῶν ἀζύμων, ὅτε τὸ πάσχα ἔθυον, λέγουσιν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ Ποῦ θέλεις ἀπελθόντες ἑτοιμάσωμεν ἵνα φάγῃς τὸ πάσχα;

Et primo die azymorum quando Pascha immolabant, dicunt ei discipuli: Quo vis eamus, et paremus tibi ut manduces Pascha?

12 და პირველსა მას დღესა უცომოებისასა, ოდეს პასექსა მას დაჰკლვიდეს, ჰრქუეს იესუს მოწაფეთა მისთა: სადა გნებავს, წარვიდეთ და მოგიმზადოთ შენ, რაჲთა სჭამო ვნებაჲ ესე?

And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?

καὶ ἀποστέλλει δύο τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Ὑπάγετε εἰς τὴν πόλιν, καὶ ἀπαντήσει ὑμῖν ἄνθρωπος κεράμιον ὕδατος βαστάζων: ἀκολουθήσατε αὐτῷ,

Et mittit duos ex discipulis suis, et dicit eis: Ite in civitatem, et occurret vobis homo lagenam aquæ bajulans: sequimini eum,

13 და წარავლინნა ორნი მოწაფეთა მისთაგანნი და ჰრქუა მათ: წარვედით ქალაქად, და შეგემთხჳოს თქუენ კაცი, რომელსა ლაგჳნითა წყალი ზე ედგას, და შეუდეგით მას, ვიდრეცა შევიდეს.

And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.

καὶ ὅπου ἐὰν εἰσέλθῃ εἴπατε τῷ οἰκοδεσπότῃ ὅτι Ὁ διδάσκαλος λέγει Ποῦ ἐστὶν τὸ κατάλυμά μου ὅπου τὸ πάσχα μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν μου φάγω;

et quocumque introierit, dicite domino domus, quia magister dicit: Ubi est refectio mea, ubi Pascha cum discipulis meis manducem?

14 და არქუთ სახლისა უფალსა მას, ვითარმედ: მოძღუარი იტყჳს: სადა არს სავანე, სადა-იგი პასექი მოწაფეთა ჩემთა თანა ვჭამო?

And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

καὶ αὐτὸς ὑμῖν δείξει ἀνάγαιον μέγα ἐστρωμένον ἕτοιμον: καὶ ἐκεῖ ἑτοιμάσατε ἡμῖν.

Et ipse vobis demonstrabit cœnaculum grande, stratum: et illic parate nobis.

15 და მან გიჩუენოს თქუენ ქორი დიდი დაგებული და მომზადებული; მუნ მზა-მიყავთ ჩუენ.

And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.

καὶ ἐξῆλθον οἱ μαθηταὶ καὶ ἦλθον εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ εὗρον καθὼς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἡτοίμασαν τὸ πάσχα.

Et abierunt discipuli ejus, et venerunt in civitatem: et invenerunt sicut dixerat illis, et paraverunt Pascha.

16 და გამოვიდეს მოწაფენი მისნი და მოვიდეს ქალაქად და პოვეს ეგრეთ, ვითარცა ჰრქუა მათ იესუ, და მოჰმზადეს ვნებაჲ იგი.

And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

Καὶ ὀψίας γενομένης ἔρχεται μετὰ τῶν δώδεκα.

Vespere autem facto, venit cum duodecim.

17 და ვითარცა მწუხრი იყო, მოვიდა ათორმეტთა მათ თანა.

And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.

καὶ ἀνακειμένων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐσθιόντων ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι εἷς ἐξ ὑμῶν παραδώσει με “ὁ ἐσθίων μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ.”

Et discumbentibus eis, et manducantibus, ait Jesus: Amen dico vobis, quia unus ex vobis tradet me, qui manducat mecum.

18 და ვითარ ინაჴით-სხდეს და ჭამდეს, ჰრქუა იესუ: ამენ გეტყჳ თქუენ, ვითარმედ: ერთმან თქუენგანმან მიმცეს მე, რომელი ჭამს ჩემ თანა.

And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

ἤρξαντο λυπεῖσθαι καὶ λέγειν αὐτῷ εἷς κατὰ εἷς Μήτι ἐγώ;

At illi cœperunt contristari, et dicere ei singulatim: Numquid ego?

19 ხოლო მათ იწყეს მწუხარებად და სიტყუად მისა თითოეულმან: ნუუკუე მე ვარ? და სხუამან თქჳს: ნუუკუე მე ვარ?

And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Εἷς τῶν δώδεκα, ὁ ἐμβαπτόμενος μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ εἰς τὸ [ἓν] τρύβλιον:

Qui ait illis: Unus ex duodecim, qui intingit mecum manum in catino.

20 ხოლო იესუ მიუგო და ჰრქუა მათ: ერთმან ათორმეტთაგანმან, რომელმან შთამოყოს პინაკსა ამას ჴელი ჩემ თანა, იგი მიმცემს მე.

And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

ὅτι ὁ μὲν υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ὑπάγει καθὼς γέγραπται περὶ αὐτοῦ, οὐαὶ δὲ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ δι᾽ οὗ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου παραδίδοται: καλὸν αὐτῷ εἰ οὐκ ἐγεννήθη ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος.

Et Filius quidem hominis vadit sicut scriptum est de eo: væ autem homini illi per quem Filius hominis tradetur! bonum erat ei, si non esset natus homo ille.

21 ძე სამე კაცისაჲ წარვალს, ვითარცა წერილ არს მისთჳს, ხოლო ვაჲ არს მის კაცისა, რომლისაგან ძე კაცისაჲ მიეცემის; უკეთეს იყო მისა, უკუეთუმცა არა შობილ იყო კაცი იგი.

The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.

Καὶ ἐσθιόντων αὐτῶν λαβὼν ἄρτον εὐλογήσας ἔκλασεν καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς καὶ εἶπεν Λάβετε, τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ σῶμά μου.

Et manducantibus illis, accepit Jesus panem: et benedicens fregit, et dedit eis, et ait: Sumite, hoc est corpus meum.

22 და ჭამდეს რაჲ იგინი, მოიღო იესუ პური, აკურთხა, განტეხა და მისცა მათ და ჰრქუა: მიიღეთ და ჭამეთ, რამეთუ ესე არს ჴორცი ჩემი.

And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

καὶ λαβὼν ποτήριον εὐχαριστήσας ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἔπιον ἐξ αὐτοῦ πάντες.

Et accepto calice, gratias agens dedit eis: et biberunt ex illo omnes.

23 და მოიღო სასუმელი, ჰმადლობდა და მისცა მათ, და სუეს მისგან ყოველთა.

And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Τοῦτό ἐστιν “τὸ αἷμά” μου “τῆς διαθήκης” τὸ ἐκχυννόμενον ὑπὲρ πολλῶν:

Et ait illis: Hic est sanguis meus novi testamenti, qui pro multis effundetur.

24 და ჰრქუა მათ: ესე არს სისხლი ჩემი ახლისა შჯულისაჲ, მრავალთათჳს დათხეული.

And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐκέτι οὐ μὴ πίω ἐκ τοῦ γενήματος τῆς ἀμπέλου ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ἐκείνης ὅταν αὐτὸ πίνω καινὸν ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ.

Amen dico vobis, quia jam non bibam de hoc genimine vitis usque in diem illum, cum illud bibam novum in regno Dei.

25 ხოლო ამენ გეტყჳ თქუენ, რამეთუ არღარა ვსუა ნაყოფისა ამისგან ამის ვენაჴისა ვიდრე მუნ დღედმდე, რაჟამს-იგი ვსუა ახალი სასუფეველსა ღმრთისასა.

Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Καὶ ὑμνήσαντες ἐξῆλθον εἰς τὸ Ὄρος τῶν Ἐλαιῶν.

Et hymno dicto exierunt in montem Olivarum.

26 და გალობაჲ წართქუეს და განვიდეს მთასა მას ზეთისხილთასა.

And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι Πάντες σκανδαλισθήσεσθε, ὅτι γέγραπται “Πατάξω τὸν ποιμένα, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα διασκορπισθήσονται:”

Et ait eis Jesus: Omnes scandalizabimini in me in nocte ista: quia scriptum est: Percutiam pastorem, et dispergentur oves.

27 და ჰრქუა მათ იესუ, ვითარმედ: ყოველნი დაბრკოლებად ხართ ჩემდა მომართ ღამესა ამას, რამეთუ წერილ არს: დავსცე მწყემსი, და განიბნინენ ცხოვარნი სამწყსოჲსა მისისანი.

And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

ἀλλὰ μετὰ τὸ ἐγερθῆναί με προάξω ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν.

Sed postquam resurrexero, præcedam vos in Galilæam.

28 არამედ შემდგომად აღდგომისა ჩემისა წარგიძღუე თქუენ გალილეად.

But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

ὁ δὲ Πέτρος ἔφη αὐτῷ Εἰ καὶ πάντες σκανδαλισθήσονται, ἀλλ᾽ οὐκ ἐγώ.

Petrus autem ait illi: Et si omnes scandalizati fuerint in te, sed non ego.

29 ხოლო პეტრე ჰრქუა მას: დაღათუ ყოველნი დაჰბრკოლდენ, არამედ მე არასადა დავბრკოლდე.

But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.

καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς Ἀμὴν λέγω σοι ὅτι σὺ σήμερον ταύτῃ τῇ νυκτὶ πρὶν ἢ δὶς ἀλέκτορα φωνῆσαι τρίς με ἀπαρνήσῃ.

Et ait illi Jesus: Amen dico tibi, quia tu hodie in nocte hac, priusquam gallus vocem bis dederit, ter me es negaturus.

30 ჰრქუა მას იესუ: ამენ გეტყჳ შენ, ვითარმედ: შენ დღეს ამას ღამესა, ვიდრე ქათმისა მეორედ ჴმობადმდე, სამ-გზის უვარ-მყო მე.

And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.

ὁ δὲ ἐκπερισσῶς ἐλάλει Ἐὰν δέῃ με συναποθανεῖν σοι, οὐ μή σε ἀπαρνήσομαι. ὡσαύτως [δὲ] καὶ πάντες ἔλεγον.

At ille amplius loquebatur: Et si oportuerit me simul commori tibi, non te negabo. Similiter autem et omnes dicebant.

31 ხოლო პეტრე უმეტესღა უფროჲს იტყოდა: დაღაცათუ იყოს სიკუდილი ჩემი შენ თანა, არასადა უვარ-გყო შენ. და ეგრეთვე მსგავსად ყოველნი იტყოდეს.

But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.

Καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς χωρίον οὗ τὸ ὄνομα Γεθσημανεί, καὶ λέγει τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ Καθίσατε ὧδε ἕως προσεύξωμαι.

Et veniunt in prædium, cui nomen Gethsemani. Et ait discipulis suis: Sedete hic donec orem.

32 და მოვიდეს დაბასა, რომლისაჲ სახელი გეთსამანიაჲ. და ჰრქუა იესუ მოწაფეთა თჳსთა: დასხედით აქა, ვიდრემდე ვილოცო.

And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.

καὶ παραλαμβάνει τὸν Πέτρον καὶ τὸν Ἰάκωβον καὶ τὸν Ἰωάνην μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἤρξατο ἐκθαμβεῖσθαι καὶ ἀδημονεῖν,

Et assumit Petrum, et Jacobum, et Joannem secum: et cœpit pavere et tædere.

33 და წარიყვანნა პეტრე და იაკობ და იოვანე მის თანა, იწყო დასულებად და ურვად.

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς “Περίλυπός ἐστιν ἡ ψυχή μου” ἕως θανάτου: μείνατε ὧδε καὶ γρηγορεῖτε.

Et ait illis: Tristis est anima mea usque ad mortem: sustinete hic, et vigilate.

34 და ჰრქუა მათ: მწუხარე არს სული ჩემი, ვიდრე სიკუდილადმდე; დაადგერით აქა და იღჳძებდით.

And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

καὶ προελθὼν μικρὸν ἔπιπτεν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ προσηύχετο ἵνα εἰ δυνατόν ἐστιν παρέλθῃ ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἡ ὥρα,

Et cum processisset paululum, procidit super terram, et orabat ut, si fieri posset, transiret ab eo hora.

35 და წარვიდა მცირედ და დავარდა ქუეყანასა და ილოცვიდა: უკუეთუ შესაძლებელ არს, რაჲთა თანა-წარჰჴდეს ჟამი იგი მისგან.

And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

καὶ ἔλεγεν Ἀββά ὁ πατήρ, πάντα δυνατά σοι: παρένεγκε τὸ ποτήριον τοῦτο ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ: ἀλλ᾽ οὐ τί ἐγὼ θέλω ἀλλὰ τί σύ.

Et dixit: Abba pater, omnia tibi possibilia sunt: transfer calicem hunc a me: sed non quod ego volo, sed quod tu.

36 და იტყოდა: აბბა მამაო, ყოველივე შესაძლებელ არს შენ მიერ თანა-წარსლვად სასუმელი ესე ჩემგან, ხოლო არა რაჲ-იგი მე მნებავს, არამედ რაჲცა შენ გნებავს.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

καὶ ἔρχεται καὶ εὑρίσκει αὐτοὺς καθεύδοντας, καὶ λέγει τῷ Πέτρῳ Σίμων, καθεύδεις; οὐκ ἴσχυσας μίαν ὥραν γρηγορῆσαι;

Et venit, et invenit eos dormientes. Et ait Petro: Simon, dormis? non potuisti una hora vigilare?

37 და მოვიდა და პოვნა იგინი მძინარენი და ჰრქუა პეტრეს: სიმონ, გძინავსა? და ვერ უძლე ჟამ ერთ მღჳძარებად ჩემ თანა?

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

γρηγορεῖτε καὶ προσεύχεσθε, ἵνα μὴ ἔλθητε εἰς πειρασμόν: τὸ μὲν πνεῦμα πρόθυμον ἡ δὲ σὰρξ ἀσθενής.

vigilate et orate, ut non intretis in tentationem. Spiritus quidem promptus est, caro vero infirma.

38 იღჳძებდით და ილოცევდით, რაჲთა არა შეხჳდეთ განსაცდელსა. სული გულს-მოდგინე არს, ხოლო ჴორცნი უძლურ.

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

καὶ πάλιν ἀπελθὼν προσηύξατο [τὸν αὐτὸν λόγον εἰπών].

Et iterum abiens oravit, eumdem sermonem dicens.

39 და კუალად წარვიდა და ილოცვიდა და იგივე სიტყუაჲ თქუა.

And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.

καὶ πάλιν ἐλθὼν εὗρεν αὐτοὺς καθεύδοντας, ἦσαν γὰρ αὐτῶν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ καταβαρυνόμενοι, καὶ οὐκ ᾔδεισαν τί ἀποκριθῶσιν αὐτῷ.

Et reversus, denuo invenit eos dormientes (erant enim oculi eorum gravati), et ignorabant quid responderent ei.

40 და მოიქცა კუალად და პოვნა იგინი მძინარენი, რამეთუ იყვნეს თუალნი მათნი დამძიმებულ, და არარაჲ იცოდეს, რაჲმცა მიუგეს მას.

And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

καὶ ἔρχεται τὸ τρίτον καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Καθεύδετε [τὸ] λοιπὸν καὶ ἀναπαύεσθε: ἀπέχει: ἦλθεν ἡ ὥρα, ἰδοὺ παραδίδοται ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰς τὰς χεῖρας τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν.

Et venit tertio, et ait illis: Dormite jam, et requiescite. Sufficit: venit hora: ecce Filius hominis tradetur in manus peccatorum.

41 და მოვიდა მესამედ და ჰრქუა მათ: დაიძინეთ ამიერითგან და განისუენეთ. მოიწია დასასრული, და მოვიდა ჟამი. აჰა ესერა მიეცემის ძე კაცისაჲ ჴელთა ცოდვილთასა.

And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

ἐγείρεσθε ἄγωμεν: ἰδοὺ ὁ παραδιδούς με ἤγγικεν.

Surgite, eamus: ecce qui me tradet, prope est.

42 აღდეგით და წარვიდეთ ამიერ. აჰა ესერა მიმცემელი ჩემი მოახლებუდ არს.

Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.

Καὶ εὐθὺς ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος παραγίνεται [ὁ] Ἰούδας εἷς τῶν δώδεκα καὶ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ὄχλος μετὰ μαχαιρῶν καὶ ξύλων παρὰ τῶν ἀρχιερέων καὶ τῶν γραμματέων καὶ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων.

Et, adhuc eo loquente, venit Judas Iscariotes unus de duodecim, et cum eo turba multa cum gladiis et lignis, a summis sacerdotibus, et scribis, et senioribus.

43 და მეყსეულად, ვიდრე იგი იტყოდაღა, მოვიდა იუდა ისკარიოტელი, ერთი ათორმეტთაგანი, და მის თანა ერი მრავალი მახჳლებითა და წათებითა მღდელთ-მოძღუართაგან და მწიგნობართა და მოხუცებულთა.

And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.

δεδώκει δὲ ὁ παραδιδοὺς αὐτὸν σύσσημον αὐτοῖς λέγων Ὃν ἂν φιλήσω αὐτός ἐστιν: κρατήσατε αὐτὸν καὶ ἀπάγετε ἀσφαλῶς.

Dederat autem traditor ejus signum eis, dicens: Quemcumque osculatus fuero, ipse est, tenete eum, et ducite caute.

44 ხოლო მიეცა მათა სასწაული მიმცემელსა მას მისსა და ჰრქუა მათ: რომელსა მე ამბორს-უყო, იგი არს, შეიპყართ იგი და წარიყვანეთ კრძალულად.

And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.

καὶ ἐλθὼν εὐθὺς προσελθὼν αὐτῷ λέγει Ῥαββεί, καὶ κατεφίλησεν αὐτόν.

Et cum venisset, statim accedens ad eum, ait: Ave Rabbi: et osculatus est eum.

45 და მეყსეულად მოვიდა და მოუჴდა მას და ჰრქუა: რაბი! რაბი! და ამბორს-უყო მას.

And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.

οἱ δὲ ἐπέβαλαν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῷ καὶ ἐκράτησαν αὐτόν.

At illi manus injecerunt in eum, et tenuerunt eum.

46 ხოლო მათ დაასხნეს მას ზედა ჴელნი და შეიპყრეს იგი.

And they laid their hands on him, and took him.

εἷς δέ [τις] τῶν παρεστηκότων σπασάμενος τὴν μάχαιραν ἔπαισεν τὸν δοῦλον τοῦ ἀρχιερέως καὶ ἀφεῖλεν αὐτοῦ τὸ ὠτάριον.

Unus autem quidam de circumstantibus educens gladium, percussit servum summi sacerdotis, et amputavit illi auriculam.

47 და ერთმან ვინმე წინაშე მდგომელმან იჴადა მახჳლი და სცა მონასა მღდელთ-მოძღურისასა და წარჰკუეთა მას ყური მისი.

And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ὡς ἐπὶ λῃστὴν ἐξήλθατε μετὰ μαχαιρῶν καὶ ξύλων συλλαβεῖν με,

Et respondens Jesus, ait illis: Tamquam ad latronem existis cum gladiis et lignis comprehendere me?

48 მიუგო იესუ და ჰრქუა მათ: ვითარცა ავაზაკსა ზედა გამოხუედით თქუენ მახჳლებითა და წათებითა შეპყრობად ჩემთა.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?

καθ᾽ ἡμέραν ἤμην πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ διδάσκων καὶ οὐκ ἐκρατήσατέ με: ἀλλ᾽ ἵνα πληρωθῶσιν αἱ γραφαί.

quotidie eram apud vos in templo docens, et non me tenuistis. Sed ut impleantur Scripturæ.

49 დღითი-დღე თქუენ თანა ვიყავ ტაძარსა შინა, გასწავებდ, და არა შემიპყართ მე; არამედ რაჲთა აღესრულნენ წიგნნი.

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.

καὶ ἀφέντες αὐτὸν ἔφυγον πάντες.

Tunc discipuli ejus relinquentes eum, omnes fugerunt.

50 მაშინ მოწაფეთა მისთა ყოველთა დაუტევეს იგი და ივლტოდეს.

And they all forsook him, and fled.

Καὶ νεανίσκος τις συνηκολούθει αὐτῷ περιβεβλημένος σινδόνα ἐπὶ γυμνοῦ, καὶ κρατοῦσιν αὐτόν,

Adolescens autem quidam sequebatur eum amictus sindone super nudo: et tenuerunt eum.

51 და ერთი ვინმე ჭაბუკი მისდევდა მას და შეემოსა არდაგი შიშულივ. ხოლო სხუათა მათ ჭაბუკთა შეიპყრეს იგი.

And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:

ὁ δὲ καταλιπὼν τὴν σινδόνα γυμνὸς ἔφυγεν.

At ille rejecta sindone, nudus profugit ab eis.

52 და მან დაუტევა არდაგი და ივლტოდა მათგან შიშუელი.

And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

Καὶ ἀπήγαγον τὸν Ἰησοῦν πρὸς τὸν ἀρχιερέα, καὶ συνέρχονται πάντες οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς.

Et adduxerunt Jesum ad summum sacerdotem: et convenerunt omnes sacerdotes, et scribæ, et seniores.

53 და მიიყვანეს იესუ კაიაფაჲს მღდელთ-მოძღურისა. და შეკრბეს ყოველნი მღდელთ-მოძღუარნი და მწიგნობარნი და მოხუცებულნი.

And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

καὶ ὁ Πέτρος ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ ἕως ἔσω εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τοῦ ἀρχιερέως, καὶ ἦν συνκαθήμενος μετὰ τῶν ὑπηρετῶν καὶ θερμαινόμενος πρὸς τὸ φῶς.

Petrus autem a longe secutus est eum usque intro in atrium summi sacerdotis: et sedebat cum ministris ad ignem, et calefaciebat se.

54 ხოლო პეტრე შორით მისდევდა მას, ვიდრე შინა ეზოდმდე მღდელთ-მოძღურისა, და დაჯდა იგი მსახურთა თანა და ტფებოდა წინაშე ნათელსა ცეცხლისასა.

And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ ὅλον τὸ συνέδριον ἐζήτουν κατὰ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ μαρτυρίαν εἰς τὸ θανατῶσαι αὐτόν, καὶ οὐχ ηὕρισκον:

Summi vero sacerdotes et omne concilium quærebant adversus Jesum testimonium ut eum morti traderent: nec inveniebant.

55 ხოლო მღდელთ-მოძღუარნი იგი და ყოველი კრებული ეძიებდეს იესუჲსთჳს მოწამეთა, რაჲთა მოკლან იგი, და არა ჰპოებდეს.

And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

πολλοὶ γὰρ ἐψευδομαρτύρουν κατ᾽ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἴσαι αἱ μαρτυρίαι οὐκ ἦσαν.

Multi enim testimonium falsum dicebant adversus eum: et convenientia testimonia non erant.

56 რამეთუ მრავალნი ცრუსა წამებდეს მისთჳს, და სწორ არა იყვნეს წამებანი მათნი.

For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

καί τινες ἀναστάντες ἐψευδομαρτύρουν κατ᾽ αὐτοῦ λέγοντες

Et quidam surgentes, falsum testimonium ferebant adversus eum, dicentes:

57 და სხუანი ვინმე აღდგეს და ცრუსა წამებდეს მისთჳს და იტყოდეს,

And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,

ὅτι Ἡμεῖς ἠκούσαμεν αὐτοῦ λέγοντος ὅτι Ἐγὼ καταλύσω τὸν ναὸν τοῦτον τὸν χειροποίητον καὶ διὰ τριῶν ἡμερῶν ἄλλον ἀχειροποίητον οἰκοδομήσω:

Quoniam nos audivimus eum dicentem: Ego dissolvam templum hoc manu factum, et per triduum aliud non manu factum ædificabo.

58 ვითარმედ: ჩუენ გუესმა მაგისგან სიტყუაჲ, ვითარმედ: მე დავარღჳო ტაძარი ესე ჴელით-ქმნული და მესამესა დღესა აღვაშენო სხუაჲ, ჴელით-უქმნელი.

We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

καὶ οὐδὲ οὕτως ἴση ἦν ἡ μαρτυρία αὐτῶν.

Et non erat conveniens testimonium illorum.

59 და არცა ესრეთ ერთ იყვნეს წამებანი მათნი.

But neither so did their witness agree together.

καὶ ἀναστὰς ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς εἰς μέσον ἐπηρώτησεν τὸν Ἰησοῦν λέγων Οὐκ ἀποκρίνῃ οὐδέν, τί οὗτοί σου καταμαρτυροῦσιν;

Et exsurgens summus sacerdos in medium, interrogavit Jesum, dicens: Non respondes quidquam ad ea quæ tibi objiciuntur ab his?

60 და აღდგა მღდელთ-მოძღუარი იგი შორის და ჰკითხა იესუს და ჰრქუა: არარას მიუგება, რასა-ესე შეგწამებენ შენ?

And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

ὁ δὲ ἐσιώπα καὶ οὐκ ἀπεκρίνατο οὐδέν. πάλιν ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς ἐπηρώτα αὐτὸν καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ Σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστὸς ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ εὐλογητοῦ;

Ille autem tacebat, et nihil respondit. Rursum summus sacerdos interrogabat eum, et dixit ei: Tu es Christus Filius Dei benedicti?

61 ხოლო იესუ დუმნა და არარაჲ მიუგო მათ. და მერმე ჰკითხვიდა მას მეორედ მღდელთ-მოძღუარი იგი და ეტყოდა: შენ ხარა ქრისტე, ძე კურთხეულისაჲ?

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Ἐγώ εἰμι, καὶ “ὄψεσθε τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκ δεξιῶν καθήμενον τῆς δυνάμεως καὶ ἐρχόμενον μετὰ τῶν νεφελῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ.”

Jesus autem dixit illi: Ego sum: et videbitis Filium hominis sedentem a dextris virtutis Dei, et venientem cum nubibus cæli.

62 ხოლო იესუ მიუგო მას, ვითარმედ: მე ვარ. და ამიერითგან იხილოთ ძე კაცისაჲ მარჯუენით მჯდომარე ძლიერებათა და მომავალი ღრუბელთა თანა ცისათა.

And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

ὁ δὲ ἀρχιερεὺς διαρήξας τοὺς χιτῶνας αὐτοῦ λέγει Τί ἔτι χρείαν ἔχομεν μαρτύρων;

Summus autem sacerdos scindens vestimenta sua, ait: Quid adhuc desideramus testes?

63 ხოლო მღდელთ-მოძღუარმან მან დაიპო სამოსელი თჳსი და თქუა: რაჲსაღა გჳჴმან მოწამენი?

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?

ἠκούσατε τῆς βλασφημίας; τί ὑμῖν φαίνεται; οἱ δὲ πάντες κατέκριναν αὐτὸν ἔνοχον εἶναι θανάτου.

Audistis blasphemiam: quid vobis videtur? Qui omnes condemnaverunt eum esse reum mortis.

64 გესმა ყოველთა გმობაჲ მაგისგან. ვითარ გნებავს თქუენ? მაშინ ყოველთა დასაჯეს იგი თანა-მდებად სიკუდილისა.

Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

Καὶ ἤρξαντό τινες ἐμπτύειν αὐτῷ καὶ περικαλύπτειν αὐτοῦ τὸ πρόσωπον καὶ κολαφίζειν αὐτὸν καὶ λέγειν αὐτῷ Προφήτευσον, καὶ οἱ ὑπηρέται ῥαπίσμασιν αὐτὸν ἔλαβον.

Et cœperunt quidam conspuere eum, et velare faciem ejus, et colaphis eum cædere, et dicere ei: Prophetiza: et ministri alapis eum cædebant.

65 და იწყეს ვიეთმე ნერწყუვად მისა და დაბურვად პირსა მისსა და ჴურთითა ცემად მისა და ეტყოდეს: გჳწინაწარმეტყუელებდ ჩუენ, ქრისტე, ვინ არს, რომელმან გცა შენ? და მსახურთა მათ მოიყვანეს იგი ყურიმლის ცემად.

And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

Καὶ ὄντος τοῦ Πέτρου κάτω ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ ἔρχεται μία τῶν παιδισκῶν τοῦ ἀρχιερέως,

Et cum esset Petrus in atrio deorsum, venit una ex ancillis summi sacerdotis:

66 და იყო რაჲ პეტრე ეზოსა მას შინა, მოვიდა ერთი მჴევალთაგანი მღდელთ-მოძღურისათაჲ.

And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:

καὶ ἰδοῦσα τὸν Πέτρον θερμαινόμενον ἐμβλέψασα αὐτῷ λέγει Καὶ σὺ μετὰ τοῦ Ναζαρηνοῦ ἦσθα τοῦ Ἰησοῦ:

et cum vidisset Petrum calefacientem se, aspiciens illum, ait: Et tu cum Jesu Nazareno eras.

67 და ვითარცა იხილა იგი, ტფებოდა რაჲ, მიჰხედა მას და ჰრქუა: შენცა იყავ იესუჲს თანა ნაზარეველისა.

And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.

ὁ δὲ ἠρνήσατο λέγων Οὔτε οἶδα οὔτε ἐπίσταμαι σὺ τί λέγεις, καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἔξω εἰς τὸ προαύλιον.

At ille negavit, dicens: Neque scio, neque novi quid dicas. Et exiit foras ante atrium, et gallus cantavit.

68 ხოლო მან უვარ-ყო და თქუა: არა ვიცი და არცა უწყი, რასა-ეგე იტყჳ შენ. და გამოვიდა პეტრე გარეშესა მას ეზოსა, და ქათამმან ჴმა-ყო.

But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.

καὶ ἡ παιδίσκη ἰδοῦσα αὐτὸν ἤρξατο πάλιν λέγειν τοῖς παρεστῶσιν ὅτι Οὗτος ἐξ αὐτῶν ἐστίν.

Rursus autem cum vidisset illum ancilla, cœpit dicere circumstantibus: Quia hic ex illis est.

69 და კუალად იხილა იგი მჴევალმან მან და იწყო სიტყუად წინაშე მდგომარეთა მათ, ვითარმედ: ესეცა მათგანივე არს.

And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.

ὁ δὲ πάλιν ἠρνεῖτο. καὶ μετὰ μικρὸν πάλιν οἱ παρεστῶτες ἔλεγον τῷ Πέτρῳ Ἀληθῶς ἐξ αὐτῶν εἶ, καὶ γὰρ Γαλιλαῖος εἶ:

At ille iterum negavit. Et post pusillum rursus qui astabant, dicebant Petro: Vere ex illis es: nam et Galilæus es.

70 ხოლო მან კუალად უვარ-ყო. და შემდგომად მცირედისა ჟამისა წინაშე მდგომელნი იგი ეტყოდეს პეტრეს: ჭეშმარიტად მათგანი ხარ და რამეთუ გალილეველ ხარ, სიტყუაჲცა შენი გამოგაჩინებს.

And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.

ὁ δὲ ἤρξατο ἀναθεματίζειν καὶ ὀμνύναι ὅτι Οὐκ οἶδα τὸν ἄνθρωπον τοῦτον ὃν λέγετε.

Ille autem cœpit anathematizare et jurare: Quia nescio hominem istum, quem dicitis.

71 ხოლო პეტრე იწყო შეჩუენებად და ფიცად, ვითარმედ: არა ვიცი კაცი ესე, რომელსა იტყჳთ.

But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

καὶ εὐθὺς ἐκ δευτέρου ἀλέκτωρ ἐφώνησεν: καὶ ἀνεμνήσθη ὁ Πέτρος τὸ ῥῆμα ὡς εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι Πρὶν ἀλέκτορα δὶς φωνῆσαι τρίς με ἀπαρνήσῃ, καὶ ἐπιβαλὼν ἔκλαιεν.

Et statim gallus iterum cantavit. Et recordatus est Petrus verbi quod dixerat ei Jesus: Priusquam gallus cantet bis, ter me negabis. Et cœpit flere.

72 და მეყსეულად მეორედ ქათამმან იყივლა, და მოეჴსენა პეტრეს სიტყუაჲ იგი, რომელი ჰრქუა მას იესუ, ვითარმედ: პირველ ქათმისა ჴმობადმდე მეორედ სამ-გზის უვარ-მყო მე. და იწყო ტირილად.

And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
