Ἐπειδήπερ πολλοὶ ἐπεχείρησαν ἀνατάξασθαι διήγησιν περὶ τῶν πεπληροφορημένων ἐν ἡμῖν πραγμάτων 
Quoniam quidem multi conati sunt ordinare narrationem, quae in nobis completae sunt, rerum, 
1 ვინაჲთგან უკუე მრავალთა ჴელ-ყვეს აღწერად მოთხრობისა საქმეთათჳს გულსავსე-ქმნილთა ჩუენ შორის, 
1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, 
καθὼς παρέδοσαν ἡμῖν οἱ ἀπ᾿ ἀρχῆς αὐτόπται καὶ ὑπηρέται γενόμενοι τοῦ λόγου, 
sicut tradiderunt nobis, qui ab initio ipsi viderunt et ministri fuerunt verbi, 
2 ვითარცა-იგი მომცეს ჩუენ, რომელნი დასაბამითგან თჳთ-მხილველ და მსახურ ყოფილ იყვნეს სიტყჳსა მის, 
2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; 
ἔδοξε κἀμοί, παρηκολουθηκότι ἄνωθεν πᾶσιν ἀκριβῶς, καθεξῆς σοι γράψαι, κράτιστε Θεόφιλε, 
visum est et mihi, adsecuto a principio omnia, diligenter ex ordine tibi scribere, optime Theophile, 
3 ჯერ-მიჩნდა მეცა, რომელი შეუდეგ პირველითგან ყოვლითა ჭეშმარიტებითა, შემდგომითი შემდგომად მიწერად შენდა, მჴნეო ღმრთის-მოყუარეო თეოფილე, 
3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, 
ἵνα ἐπιγνῷς περὶ ὧν κατηχήθης λόγων τὴν ἀσφάλειαν. 
ut cognoscas eorum verborum, de quibus eruditus es, firmitatem. 
4 რაჲთა სცნა, რომელთათჳს-იგი ისწავე სიტყუათა მათ კრძალულებაჲ. 
4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed. 
Ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Ἡρῴδου τοῦ βασιλέως τῆς Ἰουδαίας ἱερεύς τις ὀνόματι Ζαχαρίας ἐξ ἐφημερίας Ἀβιά, καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῶν θυγατέρων Ἀαρών, καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Ἐλισάβετ. 
Fuit in diebus Herodis regis Iudaeae sacerdos quidam nomine Zacharias de vice Abiae, et uxor illi de filiabus Aaron, et nomen eius Elisabeth. 
5 იყო დღეთა მათ ჰეროდე მეფისა ჰურიასტანისათა მღდელი ვინმე, რომლისა სახელი ზაქარია, შემდგომად დღითი-დღედ მსახურებისა მის აბიაჲსა, და ცოლი მისი ასულთაგან აჰრონისთაჲ, და სახელი მისი ელისაბედ. 
5 THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 
ἦσαν δὲ δίκαιοι ἀμφότεροι ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ, πορευόμενοι ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ἐντολαῖς καὶ δικαιώμασι τοῦ Κυρίου ἄμεμπτοι. 
Erant autem iusti ambo ante Deum, incedentes in omnibus mandatis et iustificationibus Domini, irreprehensibiles. 
6 და იყვნეს ორნივე ესე წინაშე ღმრთისა მართალ და ვიდოდეს ყოველთა მცნებათა სიმართლისა უფლისათა უბიწონი. 
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 
καὶ οὐκ ἦν αὐτοῖς τέκνον, καθότι ἡ Ἐλισάβετ ἦν στεῖρα, καὶ ἀμφότεροι προβεβηκότες ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτῶν ἦσαν. 
Et non erat illis filius, eo quod esset Elisabeth sterilis, et ambo processissent in diebus suis. 
7 და არა ესუა მათ შვილი, რამეთუ ელისაბედ იყო ბერწ, და ორნივე გარდასრულ იყვნეს დღეთა მათთა. 
7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. 
Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν τῷ ἱερατεύειν αὐτὸν ἐν τῇ τάξει τῆς ἐφημερίας αὐτοῦ ἔναντι τοῦ Θεοῦ, 
Factum est autem, cum sacerdotio fungeretur in ordine vicis suae ante Deum, 
8 და იყო მღდელობასა მას მისსა, წესსა მას დღითი-დღედისა მისისა წინაშე ღმრთისა, 
8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course, 
κατὰ τὸ ἔθος τῆς ἱερατείας ἔλαχε τοῦ θυμιᾶσαι εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸν ναὸν τοῦ Κυρίου· 
secundum consuetudinem sacerdotii sorte exiit, ut incensum poneret ingressus in templum Domini; 
9 მსგავსად ჩვეულებისა მღდელობისა ჰხუდა მას საკუმეველისა კუმევაჲ და შევიდა ტაძარსა უფლისასა. 
9 According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. 
καὶ πᾶν τὸ πλῆθος ἦν τοῦ λαοῦ προσευχόμενον ἔξω τῇ ὥρᾳ τοῦ θυμιάματος. 
et omnis multitudo erat populi orans foris hora incensi. 
10 და ყოველი სიმრავლე ერისაჲ ილოცვიდა გარეშე ჟამსა მას საკუმეველისა კუმევისასა. 
10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense. 
ὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ἄγγελος Κυρίου ἑστὼς ἐκ δεξιῶν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τοῦ θυμιάματος. 
Apparuit autem illi angelus Domini stans a dextris altaris incensi; 
11 და ეჩუენა მას ანგელოზი უფლისაჲ, მდგომარე მარჯუენით საკურთხევლისა მის საკუმეველთაჲსა. 
11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 
καὶ ἐταράχθη Ζαχαρίας ἰδών, καὶ φόβος ἐπέπεσεν ἐπ᾿ αὐτόν. 
et Zacharias turbatus est videns, et timor irruit super eum. 
12 და შეძრწუნდა ზაქარია, იხილა რაჲ იგი, და შიში დაეცა მას ზედა. 
12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 
εἶπε δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ ἄγγελος· μὴ φοβοῦ, Ζαχαρία· διότι εἰσηκούσθη ἡ δέησίς σου, καὶ ἡ γυνή σου Ἐλισάβετ γεννήσει υἱόν σοι, καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰωάννην· 
Ait autem ad illum angelus: “Ne timeas, Zacharia, quoniam exaudita est deprecatio tua, et uxor tua Elisabeth pariet tibi filium, et vocabis nomen eius Ioannem. 
13 ჰრქუა მას ანგელოზმან მან: ნუ გეშინინ, ზაქარია, რამეთუ შეისმნეს ვედრებანი შენნი, და ცოლმან შენმან ელისაბედ გიშვეს შენ ძე, და უწოდი სახელი მისი იოვანე. 
13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. 
καὶ ἔσται χαρά σοι καὶ ἀγαλλίασις, καὶ πολλοὶ ἐπὶ τῇ γεννήσει αὐτοῦ χαρήσονται. 
Et erit gaudium tibi et exsultatio, et multi in nativitate eius gaudebunt: 
14 და იყოს შენდა სიხარულ და მხიარულება, და მრავალთა შობასა მისსა განიხარონ. 
14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 
ἔσται γὰρ μέγας ἐνώπιον τοῦ Κυρίου, καὶ οἶνον καὶ σίκερα οὐ μὴ πίῃ καὶ Πνεύματος Ἁγίου πλησθήσεται ἔτι ἐκ κοιλίας μητρὸς αὐτοῦ, 
erit enim magnus coram Domino et vinum et siceram non bibet et Spiritu Sancto replebitur adhuc ex utero matris suae 
15 რამეთუ იყოს დიდ წინაშე უფლისა და ღჳნოჲ და თაფლუჭი არა სუას და სულითა წმიდითა აღივსოს მიერვე დედის მუცლით მისითგან. 
15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. 
καὶ πολλοὺς τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐπιστρέψει ἐπὶ Κύριον τὸν Θεὸν αὐτῶν· 
et multos filiorum Israel convertet ad Dominum Deum ipsorum. 
16 და მრავალნი ძეთა ისრაჱლისათაგანნი მოაქცინეს უფლისა, ღმრთისა მათისა. 
16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. 
καὶ αὐτὸς προελεύσεται ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ ἐν πνεύματι καὶ δυνάμει Ἠλιού, ἐπιστρέψαι καρδίας πατέρων ἐπὶ τέκνα καὶ ἀπειθεῖς ἐν φρονήσει δικαίων, ἑτοιμάσαι Κυρίῳ λαὸν κατεσκευασμένον. 
Et ipse praecedet ante illum in spiritu et virtute Eliae, ut convertat corda patrum in filios et incredibiles ad prudentiam iustorum, parare Domino plebem perfectam”. 
17 და იგი თავადი პირველად განვიდეს წინაშე მისსა სულითა და ძალითა ელიაჲსითა მოქცევად გულნი მამათანი შვილთა მიმართ და ურჩნი გონებითა მართალთაჲთა განმზადებად უფლისა ერი მომზადებული. 
17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. 
καὶ εἶπε Ζαχαρίας πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον· κατὰ τί γνώσομαι τοῦτο; ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι πρεσβύτης καὶ ἡ γυνή μου προβεβηκυῖα ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτῆς. 
Et dixit Zacharias ad angelum: “Unde hoc sciam? Ego enim sum senex, et uxor mea processit in diebus suis”. 
18 და ჰრქუა ზაქარია ანგელოზსა მას: რაჲთა ვცნა ესე, რამეთუ მე მოხუცებულ ვარ, და ცოლი ჩემი გარდასრულ არს დღეთა მისთა? 
18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. 
καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ ἄγγελος εἶπεν αὐτῷ· ἐγώ εἰμι Γαβριὴλ ὁ παρεστηκὼς ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ, καὶ ἀπεστάλην λαλῆσαι πρός σε καὶ εὐαγγελίσασθαί σοι ταῦτα. 
Et respondens angelus dixit ei: “Ego sum Gabriel, qui adsto ante Deum, et missus sum loqui ad te et haec tibi evangelizare. 
19 მიუგო ანგელოზმან მან და ჰრქუა: მე ვარ გაბრიელ, წინაშე მდგომელი პირსა ღმრთისასა, და მოვივლინე სიტყუად შენდა და ხარებად ამას. 
19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. 
καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔσῃ σιωπῶν καὶ μὴ δυνάμενος λαλῆσαι ἄχρι ἧς ἡμέρας γένηται ταῦτα, ἀνθ᾿ ὧν οὐκ ἐπίστευσας τοῖς λόγοις μου, οἵτινες πληρωθήσονται εἰς τὸν καιρὸν αὐτῶν. 
Et ecce: eris tacens et non poteris loqui usque in diem, quo haec fiant, pro eo quod non credidisti verbis meis, quae implebuntur in tempore suo”. 
20 და აჰა იყო შენ დადუმებულ და ვერ შემძლებელ სიტყუად ვიდრე დღედმდე ყოფად ამისა ამისთჳს, რამეთუ არა გრწმენეს სიტყუანი ჩემნი, რომელნი აღესრულნენ ჟამსა თჳსსა. 
20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. 
καὶ ἦν ὁ λαὸς προσδοκῶν τὸν Ζαχαρίαν, καὶ ἐθαύμαζον ἐν τῷ χρονίζειν αὐτὸν ἐν τῷ ναῷ. 
Et erat plebs exspectans Zachariam, et mirabantur quod tardaret ipse in templo. 
21 და დგა ერი იგი და ელოდა ზაქარიას და უკჳრდა დაყოვნებაჲ იგი მისი ტაძარსა მას შინა. 
21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple. 
ἐξελθὼν δὲ οὐκ ἠδύνατο λαλῆσαι αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἐπέγνωσαν ὅτι ὀπτασίαν ἑώρακεν ἐν τῷ ναῷ· καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν διανεύων αὐτοῖς, καὶ διέμενε κωφός. 
Egressus autem non poterat loqui ad illos, et cognoverunt quod visionem vidisset in templo; et ipse erat innuens illis et permansit mutus. 
22 და გამო-რაჲ-ვიდა, ვერ ეძლო სიტყუად მათდა, და ცნეს, რამეთუ ჩუენებაჲ რაჲმე იხილა ტაძარსა მას შინა; და იგი წამ-უყოფდა მათ და დაადგრა უტყუად. 
22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless. 
καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐπλήσθησαν αἱ ἡμέραι τῆς λειτουργίας αὐτοῦ, ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ. 
Et factum est, ut impleti sunt dies officii eius, abiit in domum suam. 
23 და ვითართცა აღესრულნეს დღენი იგი მსახურებისა მისისანი, წარვიდა სახიდ თჳსა. 
23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house. 
μετὰ δὲ ταύτας τὰς ἡμέρας συνέλαβεν Ἐλισάβετ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ, καὶ περιέκρυβεν ἑαυτὴν μῆνας πέντε, 
Post hos autem dies concepit Elisabeth uxor eius et occultabat se mensibus quinque dicens: 
24 და შემდგომად დღეთა მათ მიუდგა ელისაბედ, ცოლი მისი, და იფარვიდა თავსა თჳსსა ხუთ თუე და იტყოდა, 
24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, 
λέγουσα ὅτι οὕτω μοι πεποίηκεν ὁ Κύριος ἐν ἡμέραις αἷς ἐπεῖδεν ἀφελεῖν τὸ ὄνειδός μου ἐν ἀνθρώποις. 
“Sic mihi fecit Dominus in diebus, quibus respexit auferre opprobrium meum inter homines”. 
25 ვითარმედ: ესრეთ მიყო მე უფალმან დღეთა ამათ, რომელთა მოხედვა-ყო მოსპოლვად ყუედრებაჲ ჩემი კაცთა შორის. 
25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men. 
Ἐν δὲ τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἕκτῳ ἀπεστάλη ὁ ἄγγελος Γαβριὴλ ὑπὸ τοῦ Θεοῦ εἰς πόλιν τῆς Γαλιλαίας, ᾗ ὄνομα Ναζαρέτ, 
In mense autem sexto missus est angelus Gabriel a Deo in civitatem Galilaeae, cui nomen Nazareth, 
26 და თუესა მეექუსესა მოივლინა გაბრიელ ანგელოზი ღმრთისა მიერ ქალაქად გალილეაჲსა, რომლისა სახელი ნაზარეთ, 
26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 
πρὸς παρθένον μεμνηστευμένην ἀνδρί, ᾧ ὄνομα Ἰωσήφ, ἐξ οἴκου Δαυΐδ, καὶ τὸ ὄνομα τῆς παρθένου Μαριάμ. 
ad virginem desponsatam viro, cui nomen erat Ioseph de domo David, et nomen virginis Maria. 
27 ქალწულისა, თხოილისა ქმრისა, რომლისა სახელი იოსებ, სახლისაგან და ტომისა დავითისა, და სახელი ქალწულისაჲ მის მარიამ. 
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 
καὶ εἰσελθὼν ὁ ἄγγελος πρὸς αὐτὴν εἶπε· χαῖρε, κεχαριτωμένη· ὁ Κύριος μετὰ σοῦ· εὐλογημένη σὺ ἐν γυναιξίν. 
Et ingressus ad eam dixit: “Ave, gratia plena, Dominus tecum”. 
28 და შევიდა ანგელოზი იგი მისა და ჰრქუა: გიხაროდენ, მიმადლებულო! უფალი შენ თანა. კურთხეულ ხარ შენ დედათა შორის. 
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 
ἡ δὲ ἰδοῦσα διεταράχθη ἐπὶ τῷ λόγῳ αὐτοῦ, καὶ διελογίζετο ποταπὸς εἴη ὁ ἀσπασμὸς οὗτος. 
Ipsa autem turbata est in sermone eius et cogitabat qualis esset ista salutatio. 
29 ხოლო მან რაჲ იხილა, შეძრწუნდა სიტყუასა მას მისსა ზედა და განიზრახვიდა: ვითარ-მე არს მოკითხვაჲ ესე? 
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ ἄγγελος αὐτῇ· μὴ φοβοῦ, Μαριάμ· εὗρες γὰρ χάριν παρὰ τῷ Θεῷ. 
Et ait angelus ei: “Ne timeas, Maria; invenisti enim gratiam apud Deum. 
30 და ჰრქუა მას ანგელოზმან მან: ნუ გეშინინ, მარიამ, რამეთუ ჰპოვე მადლი წინაშე ღმრთისა. 
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 
καὶ ἰδοὺ συλλήψῃ ἐν γαστρὶ καὶ τέξῃ υἱόν, καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰησοῦν. 
Et ecce concipies in utero et paries filium et vocabis nomen eius Iesum. 
31 და აჰა ესერა შენ მუცლად-იღო და ჰშვე ძე და უწოდი სახელი მისი იესუ. 
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 
οὗτος ἔσται μέγας καὶ υἱὸς ὑψίστου κληθήσεται, καὶ δώσει αὐτῷ Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς τὸν θρόνον Δαυῒδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, 
Hic erit magnus et Filius Altissimi vocabitur, et dabit illi Dominus Deus sedem David patris eius, 
32 ესე იყოს დიდ და ძე მაღლის ეწოდოს, და მისცეს მას უფალმან ღმერთმან საყდარი დავითის, მამისა თჳსისაჲ. 
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 
καὶ βασιλεύσει ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ἰακὼβ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας, καὶ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἔσται τέλος. 
et regnabit super domum Iacob in aeternum, et regni eius non erit finis”. 
33 და მეუფებდეს სახლსა ზედა იაკობისსა საუკუნოდ, და სუფევისა მისისაჲ არა იყოს დასასრულ. 
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 
εἶπε δὲ Μαριὰμ πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον· πῶς ἔσται μοι τοῦτο, ἐπεὶ ἄνδρα οὐ γινώσκω; 
Dixit autem Maria ad angelum: “Quomodo fiet istud, quoniam virum non cognosco?”. 
34 ჰრქუა მარიამ ანგელოზსა მას: ვითარ-მე იყოს ესე ჩემდა, რამეთუ მე მამაკაცი არა ვიცი? 
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 
καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ ἄγγελος εἶπεν αὐτῇ· Πνεῦμα Ἅγιον ἐπελεύσεται ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ δύναμις ὑψίστου ἐπισκιάσει σοι· διὸ καὶ τὸ γεννώμενον ἅγιον κληθήσεται υἱὸς Θεοῦ. 
Et respondens angelus dixit ei: “Spiritus Sanctus superveniet in te, et virtus Altissimi obumbrabit tibi: ideoque et quod nascetur sanctum, vocabitur Filius Dei. 
35 მიუგო ანგელოზმან მან და ჰრქუა მას: სული წმიდაჲ მოვიდეს შენ ზედა, და ძალი მაღლისაჲ გფარვიდეს შენ; ამისთჳსცა შობილსა მას წმიდა ეწოდოს და ძე მაღლის. 
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 
καὶ ἰδοὺ Ἐλισάβετ ἡ συγγενής σου καὶ αὐτὴ συνειληφυῖα υἱὸν ἐν γήρει αὐτῆς, καὶ οὗτος μὴν ἕκτος ἐστὶν αὐτῇ τῇ καλουμένῃ στείρᾳ· 
Et ecce Elisabeth cognata tua et ipsa concepit filium in senecta sua, et hic mensis est sextus illi, quae vocatur sterilis, 
36 და აჰა ელისაბედ, ნათესავი შენი, იგიცა მიდგომილ არს ძესა სიბერესა თჳსსა, და ესე მეექუსე თუჱ არს მისი, რომელსა-იგი ერქუა ბერწ. 
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 
ὅτι οὐκ ἀδυνατήσει παρὰ τῷ Θεῷ πᾶν ρῆμα. 
quia non erit impossibile apud Deum omne verbum”. 
37 რამეთუ არა შეუძლებელ არს წინაშე ღმრთისა ყოველი სიტყუაჲ. 
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. 
εἶπε δὲ Μαριάμ· ἰδοὺ ἡ δούλη Κυρίου· γένοιτό μοι κατὰ τὸ ρῆμά σου. καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ἀπ᾿ αὐτῆς ὁ ἄγγελος. 
Dixit autem Maria: “Ecce ancilla Domini; fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum”. Et discessit ab illa angelus. 
38 ჰრქუა მას მარიამ: აჰა მჴევალი უფლისაჲ; მეყავნ მე სიტყჳსაებრ შენისა! და წარვიდა მისგან ანგელოზი იგი. 
38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. 
Ἀναστᾶσα δὲ Μαριὰμ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις ἐπορεύθη εἰς τὴν ὀρεινὴν μετὰ σπουδῆς εἰς πόλιν Ἰούδα, 
Exsurgens autem Maria in diebus illis abiit in montana cum festinatione in civitatem Iudae 
39 და აღდგა მარიამ მათ დღეთა შინა და წარვიდა მთად კერძო მსწრაფლ ქალაქად იუდაჲსა. 
39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; 
καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον Ζαχαρίου καὶ ἠσπάσατο τὴν Ἐλισάβετ. 
et intravit in domum Zachariae et salutavit Elisabeth. 
40 და შევიდა სახლსა ზაქარიაჲსსა და მოიკითხა ელისაბედ. 
40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. 
καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσεν ἡ Ἐλισάβετ τὸν ἀσπασμὸν τῆς Μαρίας, ἐσκίρτησε τὸ βρέφος ἐν τῇ κοιλίᾳ αὐτῆς· καὶ ἐπλήσθη Πνεύματος Ἁγίου ἡ Ἐλισάβετ 
Et factum est, ut audivit salutationem Mariae Elisabeth, exsultavit infans in utero eius, et repleta est Spiritu Sancto Elisabeth 
41 და იყო ვითარცა ესმა ელისაბედს მოკითხვაჲ მარიამისი, ჰკრთებოდა ყრმაჲ იგი მუცელსა მისსა. და აღივსო სულითა წმიდითა ელისაბედ. 
41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 
καὶ ἀνεφώνησε φωνῇ μεγάλῃ καὶ εἶπεν· εὐλογημένη σὺ ἐν γυναιξὶ καὶ εὐλογημένος ὁ καρπὸς τῆς κοιλίας σου. 
et exclamavit voce magna et dixit: “Benedicta tu inter mulieres, et benedictus fructus ventris tui. 
42 და ჴმა-ყო ჴმითა დიდითა და თქუა: კურთხეულ ხარ შენ დედათა შორის, და კურთხეულ არს ნაყოფი მუცლისა შენისაჲ! 
42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 
καὶ πόθεν μοι τοῦτο ἵνα ἔλθῃ ἡ μήτηρ τοῦ Κυρίου μου πρός με; 
Et unde hoc mihi, ut veniat mater Domini mei ad me? 
43 და ვინაჲ ჩემდა ესე, რაჲთა მოვიდეს დედაჲ უფლისა ჩემისაჲ ჩემდა? 
43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 
ἰδοὺ γὰρ ὡς ἐγένετο ἡ φωνὴ τοῦ ἀσπασμοῦ σου εἰς τὰ ὦτά μου, ἐσκίρτησε τὸ βρέφος ἐν ἀγαλλιάσει ἐν τῇ κοιλίᾳ μου. 
Ecce enim ut facta est vox salutationis tuae in auribus meis, exsultavit in gaudio infans in utero meo. 
44 რამეთუ აჰა ესერა ვითარცა იყო ჴმაჲ მოკითხვისა შენისაჲ ყურთა მომართ ჩემთა, ჰკრთებოდა ყრმაჲ ესე სიხარულით მუცელსა ჩემსა. 
44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 
καὶ μακαρία ἡ πιστεύσασα ὅτι ἔσται τελείωσις τοῖς λελαλημένοις αὐτῇ παρὰ Κυρίου. 
Et beata, quae credidit, quoniam perficientur ea, quae dicta sunt ei a Domino”. 
45 და ნეტარ არს, რომელსა ჰრწმენეს, რამეთუ იყოს აღსრულებაჲ თქუმულთაჲ მათ მისა მიმართ უფლისა მიერ. 
45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. 
καὶ εἶπε Μαριάμ· Μεγαλύνει ἡ ψυχή μου τὸν Κύριον 
Et ait Maria: “Magnificat anima mea Dominum, 
46 და თქუა მარიამ: ადიდებს სული ჩემი უფალსა, 
46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 
καὶ ἠγαλλίασε τὸ πνεῦμά μου ἐπὶ τῷ Θεῷ τῷ σωτῆρί μου, 
et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salvatore meo, 
47 და განიხარა სულმან ჩემმან ღმრთისა მიმართ, მაცხოვრისა ჩემისა, 
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 
ὅτι ἐπέβλεψεν ἐπὶ τὴν ταπείνωσιν τῆς δούλης αὐτοῦ. ἰδοὺ γὰρ ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν μακαριοῦσί με πᾶσαι αἱ γενεαί· 
quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae. Ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes generationes, 
48 რამეთუ მოხედნა სიმდაბლესა ზედა მჴევლისა თჳსისასა; რამეთუ აჰა ესერა ამიერითგან მნატრიდენ მე ყოველნი ნათესავნი; 
48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 
ὅτι ἐποίησέ μοι μεγαλεῖα ὁ δυνατὸς καὶ ἅγιον τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ, 
quia fecit mihi magna, qui potens est, et sanctum nomen eius, 
49 რამეთუ ყო ჩემ თანა დიდებული ძლიერმან, და წმიდა არს სახელი მისი, 
49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 
καὶ τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ εἰς γενεὰς γενεῶν τοῖς φοβουμένοις αὐτόν. 
et misericordia eius in progenies et progenies timentibus eum. 
50 და წყალობაჲ მისი ნათესავითი ნათესავადმდე მოშიშთა მისთა ზედა; 
50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. 
ἐποίησε κράτος ἐν βραχίονι αὐτοῦ, διεσκόρπισεν ὑπερηφάνους διανοίᾳ καρδίας αὐτῶν· 
Fecit potentiam in brachio suo, dispersit superbos mente cordis sui; 
51 ყო სიმტკიცე მკლავითა თჳსითა; განაბნინა ამპარტავანნი გონებითა გულთა მათთაჲთა; 
51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 
καθεῖλε δυνάστας ἀπὸ θρόνων καὶ ὕψωσε ταπεινούς, 
deposuit potentes de sede et exaltavit humiles; 
52 დაამჴუნა ძლიერნი საყდართაგან და აღამაღლნა დაბალნი; 
52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 
πεινῶντας ἐνέπλησεν ἀγαθῶν καὶ πλουτοῦντας ἐξαπέστειλε κενούς. 
esurientes implevit bonis et divites dimisit inanes. 
53 მშიერნი აღავსნა კეთილითა და მდიდარნი განავლინნა ცუდნი; 
53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. 
ἀντελάβετο Ἰσραὴλ παιδὸς αὐτοῦ μνησθῆναι ἐλέους, 
Suscepit Israel puerum suum, recordatus misericordiae, 
54 შეეწია ისრაჱლსა, მონასა თჳსსა, მოჴსენებად წყალობისა. 
54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; 
καθὼς ἐλάλησε πρὸς τοὺς πατέρας ἡμῶν, τῷ Ἀβραὰμ καὶ τῷ σπέρματι αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. 
sicut locutus est ad patres nostros, Abraham et semini eius in saecula”. 
55 ვითარცა ეტყოდა მამათა ჩუენთა აბრაჰამსა და ნათესავსა მისსა საუკუნოდ. 
55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. 
Ἔμεινε δὲ Μαριὰμ σὺν αὐτῇ ὡσεὶ μῆνας τρεῖς καὶ ὑπέστρεψεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτῆς. 
Mansit autem Maria cum illa quasi mensibus tribus et reversa est in domum suam. 
56 და დაადგრა მარიამ ელისაბედის თანა სამ თუე და წარვიდა სახიდ თჳსა. 
56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house. 
τῇ δὲ Ἐλισάβετ ἐπλήσθη ὁ χρόνος τοῦ τεκεῖν αὐτήν, καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱόν. 
Elisabeth autem impletum est tempus pariendi, et peperit filium. 
57 ხოლო ელისაბედისნი აღივსნეს ჟამნი შობისა მისისანი და შვა ძე. 
57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 
καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ περίοικοι καὶ οἱ συγγενεῖς αὐτῆς ὅτι ἐμεγάλυνε Κύριος τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ μετ᾿ αὐτῆς, καὶ συνέχαιρον αὐτῇ. 
Et audierunt vicini et cognati eius quia magnificavit Dominus misericordiam suam cum illa, et congratulabantur ei. 
58 და ესმა გარემოთა და ნათესავთა, რამეთუ განადიდა უფალმან წყალობაჲ თჳსი მის თანა, და მის თანა იხარებდეს. 
58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. 
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῇ ὀγδόῃ ἡμέρᾳ ἦλθον περιτεμεῖν τὸ παιδίον, καὶ ἐκάλουν αὐτὸ ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ Ζαχαρίαν. 
Et factum est, in die octavo venerunt circumcidere puerum et vocabant eum nomine patris eius, Zachariam. 
59 და იყო მერვესა დღესა და მოვიდეს წინადაცუეთად ყრმისა მის და რაჲთამცა უწოდეს მას სახელად მამისა მისისა ზაქარია. 
59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. 
καὶ ἀποκριθεῖσα ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ εἶπεν· οὐχί, ἀλλὰ κληθήσεται Ἰωάννης. 
Et respondens mater eius dixit: “Nequaquam, sed vocabitur Ioannes”. 
60 და მიუგო დედამან მისმან და ჰრქუა: არა, არამედ ეწოდოს მაგას იოვანე. 
60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. 
καὶ εἶπον πρὸς αὐτὴν ὅτι οὐδείς ἐστιν ἐν τῇ συγγενείᾳ σου ὃς καλεῖται τῷ ὀνόματι τούτῳ· 
Et dixerunt ad illam: “Nemo est in cognatione tua, qui vocetur hoc nomine”. 
61 და ჰრქუეს მას, ვითარმედ: არავინ არს ნათესავსა შენსა, რომელსა ჰრქჳან სახელი ეგე. 
61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name. 
ἐνένευον δὲ τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ τὸ τί ἂν θέλοι καλεῖσθαι αὐτόν. 
Innuebant autem patri eius quem vellet vocari eum. 
62 და წამუყოფდეს მამასა მისსა, რაჲ-ძი უნდეს სახელის-დებად მისა. 
62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called. 
καὶ αἰτήσας πινακίδιον ἔγραψε λέγων· Ἰωάννης ἐστὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐθαύμασαν πάντες. 
Et postulans pugillarem scripsit dicens: “Ioannes est nomen eius”. Et mirati sunt universi. 
63 და მოითხოვა ფიცარი და დაწერა და თქუა: იოვანე არს სახელი მისი. და დაუკჳრდა ესე ყოველთა. 
63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all. 
ἀνεῴχθη δὲ τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ παραχρῆμα καὶ ἡ γλῶσσα αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐλάλει εὐλογῶν τὸν Θεόν. 
Apertum est autem ilico os eius et lingua eius, et loquebatur benedicens Deum. 
64 და მეყსეულად აღეღო პირი მისი და ენაჲ, და იტყოდა და აკურთხევდა ღმერთსა. 
64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God. 
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐπὶ πάντας φόβος τοὺς περιοικοῦντας αὐτούς, καὶ ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ ὀρεινῇ τῆς Ἰουδαίας διελαλεῖτο πάντα τὰ ρήματα ταῦτα, 
Et factus est timor super omnes vicinos eorum, et super omnia montana Iudaeae divulgabantur omnia verba haec. 
65 და იყო შიში დიდი ყოველთა ზედა გარემო მკჳდრთა მისთა; და ყოველთა მათ მთით კერძოთა ჰურიასტანისათა მიმოითქუმოდეს ყოველნი ესე სიტყუანი. 
65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea. 
καὶ ἔθεντο πάντες οἱ ἀκούσαντες ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῶν λέγοντες· τί ἄρα τὸ παιδίον τοῦτο ἔσται; καὶ χεὶρ Κυρίου ἦν μετ᾿ αὐτοῦ. 
Et posuerunt omnes, qui audierant, in corde suo dicentes: “Quid putas puer iste erit?”. Etenim manus Domini erat cum illo. 
66 და დაიდვეს გულსა, რომელთა ესმოდა ესე, და იტყოდეს: რაჲ-მე იყოს ყრმაჲ ესე? და ჴელი უფლისაჲ იყოს მის ზედა. 
66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him. 
καὶ Ζαχαρίας ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ ἐπλήσθη Πνεύματος Ἁγίου καὶ προεφήτευσε λέγων· 
Et Zacharias pater eius impletus est Spiritu Sancto et prophetavit dicens: 
67 და მამაჲ მისი ზაქარია აღივსო სულითა წმიდითა, წინაწარმეტყუელებდა და თქუა: 
67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, 
Εὐλογητὸς Κύριος, ὁ Θεὸς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, ὅτι ἐπεσκέψατο καὶ ἐποίησε λύτρωσιν τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ, 
“Benedictus Dominus, Deus Israel, quia visitavit et fecit redemptionem plebi suae 
68 კურთხეულ არს უფალი ღმერთი ისრაჱლისაჲ, რამეთუ მოჰხედნა და ყო ჴსნაჲ ერისა თჳსისაჲ; 
68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, 
καὶ ἤγειρε κέρας σωτηρίας ἡμῖν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ Δαυῒδ τοῦ παιδὸς αὐτοῦ, 
et erexit cornu salutis nobis in domo David pueri sui, 
69 და აღმიდგინა ჩუენ რქაჲ ცხოვრებისაჲ შორის სახლსა მას დავითის, მონისა თჳსისა; 
69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; 
καθὼς ἐλάλησε διὰ στόματος τῶν ἁγίων τῶν ἀπ᾿ αἰῶνος προφητῶν αὐτοῦ, 
sicut locutus est per os sanctorum, qui a saeculo sunt, prophetarum eius, 
70 ვითარცა ეტყოდა პირითა წმიდათაჲთა საუკუნითგან წინაწარმეტყუელთა მისთაჲთა, 
70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 
σωτηρίαν ἐξ ἐχθρῶν ἡμῶν καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς πάντων τῶν μισούντων ἡμᾶς, 
salutem ex inimicis nostris et de manu omnium, qui oderunt nos; 
71 ცხორებასა მტერთა ჩუენთაგან და ჴელისაგან ყოველთა მოძულეთა ჩუენთაჲსა; 
71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 
ποιῆσαι ἔλεος μετὰ τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν καὶ μνησθῆναι διαθήκης ἁγίας αὐτοῦ, 
ad faciendam misericordiam cum patribus nostris et memorari testamenti sui sancti, 
72 ყოფად წყალობისა მამათა ჩუენთა თანა და მოჴსენებად აღთქუმისა წმიდისა მისისა; 
72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; 
ὅρκον ὃν ὤμοσε πρὸς Ἀβραὰμ τὸν πατέρα ἡμῶν, τοῦ δοῦναι ἡμῖν 
iusiurandum, quod iuravit ad Abraham patrem nostrum, daturum se nobis, 
73 ფიცით, რომელ ეფუცა აბრაჰამსა, მამასა ჩუენსა, მოცემად ჩუენდა 
73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 
ἀφόβως, ἐκ χειρὸς τῶν ἐχθρῶν ἡμῶν ρυσθέντας, λατρεύειν αὐτῷ 
ut sine timore, de manu inimicorum liberati, serviamus illi 
74 უშიშად ჴსნად ჴელთაგან მტერთა ჩუენთაჲსა, 
74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 
ἐν ὁσιότητι καὶ δικαιοσύνῃ ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς ἡμῶν. 
in sanctitate et iustitia coram ipso omnibus diebus nostris. 
75 მსახურებად მისა ღირსებით და სიმართლით წინაშე მისსა ყოველთა დღეთა ცხორებისა ჩუენისათა. 
75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. 
καὶ σύ, παιδίον, προφήτης ὑψίστου κληθήσῃ· προπορεύσῃ γὰρ πρὸ προσώπου Κυρίου ἑτοιμάσαι ὁδοὺς αὐτοῦ, 
Et tu, puer, propheta Altissimi vocaberis: praeibis enim ante faciem Domini parare vias eius, 
76 და შენ, ყრმაო, წინაწარმეტყუელ მაღლის იწოდო, რამეთუ წარსძღუე შენ წინაშე პირსა უფლისასა განმზადებად გზათა მისთა, 
76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 
τοῦ δοῦναι γνῶσιν σωτηρίας τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ, ἐν ἀφέσει ἁμαρτιῶν αὐτῶν 
ad dandam scientiam salutis plebi eius in remissionem peccatorum eorum, 
77 მიცემად მეცნიერებაჲ ცხორებისაჲ ერსა თჳსსა მოტევებად ცოდვათა მათთაჲთა, რომელთა მიერ მომხედნა ჩუენ აღმოსავალმან მაღლით 
77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, 
διὰ σπλάγχνα ἐλέους Θεοῦ ἡμῶν, ἐν οἷς ἐπεσκέψατο ἡμᾶς ἀνατολὴ ἐξ ὕψους 
per viscera misericordiae Dei nostri, in quibus visitabit nos oriens ex alto, 
78 
78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 
ἐπιφᾶναι τοῖς ἐν σκότει καὶ σκιᾷ θανάτου καθημένοις, τοῦ κατευθῦναι τοὺς πόδας ἡμῶν εἰς ὁδὸν εἰρήνης. 
illuminare his, qui in tenebris et in umbra mortis sedent, ad dirigendos pedes nostros in viam pacis”. 
79 გამოჩინებად მათ ზედა, რომელნი სხენან ბნელსა შინა და აჩრდილთა სიკუდილისათა, და წარმართებად ფერჴთა ჩუენთა გზათა მშჳდობისასა. 
79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. 
Τὸ δὲ παιδίον ηὔξανε καὶ ἐκραταιοῦτο πνεύματι, καὶ ἦν ἐν ταῖς ἐρήμοις ἕως ἡμέρας ἀναδείξεως αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὸν Ἰσραήλ. 
Puer autem crescebat et confortabatur spiritu et erat in deserto usque in diem ostensionis suae ad Israel. 
80 ხოლო ყრმაჲ იგი აღორძნდებოდა და განმტკიცნებოდა სულითა. და იყო უდაბნოს, ვიდრე გამოცხადებადმდე მისა ისრაჱლისა მიმართ. 
80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.
