3 The Gospel According to Saint Mark

Καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πάλιν εἰς συναγωγήν, καὶ ἦν ἐκεῖ ἄνθρωπος ἐξηραμμένην ἔχων τὴν χεῖρα:

Et introivit iterum in synagogam: et erat ibi homo habens manum aridam.

1 და მერმე შევიდა შესაკრებელსა, და იყო მუნ კაცი, რომელსა ჴელი განჴმელ ედგა.

And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.

καὶ παρετήρουν αὐτὸν εἰ τοῖς σάββασιν θεραπεύσει αὐτόν, ἵνα κατηγορήσωσιν αὐτοῦ.

Et observabant eum, si sabbatis curaret, ut accusarent illum.

2 და უმზირდეს მას, უკუეთუ შაბათსა განკურნოს იგი, რაჲთა შეასმინონ იგი.

And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

καὶ λέγει τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τῷ τὴν χεῖρα ἔχοντι ξηράν Ἔγειρε εἰς τὸ μέσον.

Et ait homini habenti manum aridam: Surge in medium.

3 და მას ჟამსა ჰრქუა იესუ კაცსა მას, რომელსა ჴელი განჴმელ ედგა: აღდეგ და წარმოდეგ შორის!

And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Ἔξεστιν τοῖς σάββασιν ἀγαθοποιῆσαι ἢ κακοποιῆσαι, ψυχὴν σῶσαι ἢ ἀποκτεῖναι; οἱ δὲ ἐσιώπων.

Et dicit eis: Licet sabbatis benefacere, an male? animam salvam facere, an perdere? At illi tacebant.

4 და ჰრქუა მას იესუ: ჯერ-არს შაბათსა შინა კეთილისა საქმე ანუ ბოროტისაჲ? სულისა ცხოვნებაჲ ანუ მოკლვაჲ? ხოლო იგინი დუმნეს.

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

καὶ περιβλεψάμενος αὐτοὺς μετ᾽ ὀργῆς, συνλυπούμενος ἐπὶ τῇ πωρώσει τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν, λέγει τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ Ἔκτεινον τὴν χεῖρά σου: καὶ ἐξέτεινεν, καὶ ἀπεκατεστάθη ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ.

Et circumspiciens eos cum ira, contristatus super cæcitate cordis eorum, dicit homini: Extende manum tuam. Et extendit, et restituta est manus illi.

5 და მიმოიხილა მათდა რისხვით და მწუხარედ სიბრმისათჳს გულთა მათთაჲსა და ჰრქუა კაცსა მას: განირთხ ჴელი შენი! და მან განირთხა, და კუალად მოეგო ჴელი იგი, ვითარცა ერთი იგი.

And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

Καὶ ἐξελθόντες οἱ Φαρισαῖοι εὐθὺς μετὰ τῶν Ἡρῳδιανῶν συμβούλιον ἐδίδουν κατ᾽ αὐτοῦ ὅπως αὐτὸν ἀπολέσωσιν.

Exeuntes autem pharisæi, statim cum Herodianis consilium faciebant adversus eum quomodo eum perderent.

6 და ვითარცა გამოვიდეს მიერ ფარისეველნი იგი ჰეროდიანელთა თანა, და ზრახვა-ყვეს მისთჳს, რაჲთა წარწყმიდონ იგი.

And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

Καὶ ὁ Ἰησοῦς μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ ἀνεχώρησεν πρὸς τὴν θάλασσαν: καὶ πολὺ πλῆθος ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλιλαίας ἠκολούθησεν,

Jesus autem cum discipulis suis secessit ad mare: et multa turba a Galilæa et Judæa secuta est eum,

7 ხოლო იესუ მოწაფითურთ განეშორა მათგან და მოვიდა ზღჳს-კიდედ. და მრავალი ერი შეუდგა მას გალილეაჲთ და ჰურიასტანით,

But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,

καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς Ἰουδαίας καὶ ἀπὸ Ἰεροσολύμων καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς Ἰδουμαίας καὶ πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου καὶ περὶ Τύρον καὶ Σιδῶνα, πλῆθος πολύ, ἀκούοντες ὅσα ποιεῖ ἦλθαν πρὸς αὐτόν.

et ab Jerosolymis, et ab Idumæa, et trans Jordanem: et qui circa Tyrum et Sidonem multitudo magna, audientes quæ faciebat, venerunt ad eum.

8 იერუსალჱმით, იდუმიაჲთ, წიაღ-იორდანით და ტჳროსით კერძო და სიდონით. ესმა მრავალსა სიმრავლესა, რაოდენსა-იგი იქმოდა, და მოვიდეს მისა.

And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.

καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ ἵνα πλοιάριον προσκαρτερῇ αὐτῷ διὰ τὸν ὄχλον ἵνα μὴ θλίβωσιν αὐτόν:

Et dicit discipulis suis ut navicula sibi deserviret propter turbam, ne comprimerent eum:

9 და ჰრქუა მოწაფეთა თჳსთა, რაჲთა ნავი განუმზადონ მას ერისა მისთჳს, რაჲთა არა შეაიწრონ იგი.

And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

πολλοὺς γὰρ ἐθεράπευσεν, ὥστε ἐπιπίπτειν αὐτῷ ἵνα αὐτοῦ ἅψωνται ὅσοι εἶχον μάστιγας.

multos enim sanabat, ita ut irruerent in eum ut illum tangerent, quotquot habebant plagas.

10 რამეთუ მრავალთა განჰკურნებდა, ვითარმედ ზედაცა დაესხმოდა მას ერი იგი, რაჲთა შე-ოდენ-ეხნენ. და რაოდენთა აქუნდა უძლურებაჲ და შეეხნეს, განიკურნებოდეს.

For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

καὶ τὰ πνεύματα τὰ ἀκάθαρτα, ὅταν αὐτὸν ἐθεώρουν, προσέπιπτον αὐτῷ καὶ ἔκραζον λέγοντα ὅτι Σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ.

Et spiritus immundi, cum illum videbant, procidebant ei: et clamabant, dicentes:

11 და სულები იგი არაწმიდაჲ ხედვიდეს მას და შეუვრდებოდეს, ღაღადებდეს და იტყოდეს: შენ ხარ ძე ღმრთისაჲ.

And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

καὶ πολλὰ ἐπετίμα αὐτοῖς ἵνα μὴ αὐτὸν φανερὸν ποιήσωσιν.

Tu es Filius Dei. Et vehementer comminabatur eis ne manifestarent illum.

12 და ფრიად შეჰრისხნა მათ იესუ, რაჲთა არა გამოაცხადონ იგი.

And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

Καὶ ἀναβαίνει εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ προσκαλεῖται οὓς ἤθελεν αὐτός, καὶ ἀπῆλθον πρὸς αὐτόν.

Et ascendens in montem vocavit ad se quos voluit ipse: et venerunt ad eum.

13 და აღვიდა მთასა და მოუწოდა, რომელთაჲ უნდა მას; და მოვიდეს მისა.

And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.

καὶ ἐποίησεν δώδεκα, οὓς καὶ ἀποστόλους ὠνόμασεν, ἵνα ὦσιν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἵνα ἀποστέλλῃ αὐτοὺς κηρύσσειν

Et fecit ut essent duodecim cum illo: et ut mitteret eos prædicare.

14 და ყვნა ათორმეტნი იგი, რაჲთა იყვნენ მის თანა და წარავლინნეს იგინი ქადაგებად

And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

καὶ ἔχειν ἐξουσίαν ἐκβάλλειν τὰ δαιμόνια:

Et dedit illis potestatem curandi infirmitates et ejiciendi dæmonia.

15 და რაჲთა აქუნდეს ჴელმწიფებაჲ განსხმად ეშმაკთა.

And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

καὶ ἐποίησεν τοὺς δώδεκα （καὶ ἐπέθηκεν ὄνομα τῷ Σίμωνι᾽ Πέτρον,

Et imposuit Simoni nomen Petrus:

16 და დასდვა სახელები: სიმონს პეტრე,

And Simon he surnamed Peter;

καὶ Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ζεβεδαίου καὶ Ἰωάνην τὸν ἀδελφὸν τοῦ Ἰακώβου （καὶ ἐπέθηκεν αὐτοῖς ὄνομα Βοανηργές, ὅ ἐστιν Υἱοὶ Βροντῆς᾿,

et Jacobum Zebedæi, et Joannem fratrem Jacobi, et imposuit eis nomina Boanerges, quod est, Filii tonitrui:

17 და იაკობ ზებედესი და იოვანე, ძმაჲ იაკობისი; და დასდვა მათ სახელები: ბანერგეს, რომელ არს: ძენი ქუხილისანი;

And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:

καὶ Ἀνδρέαν καὶ Φίλιππον καὶ Βαρθολομαῖον καὶ Μαθθαῖον καὶ Θωμᾶν καὶ Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ἁλφαίου καὶ Θαδδαῖον καὶ Σίμωνα τὸν Καναναῖον

et Andræam, et Philippum, et Bartholomæum, et Matthæum, et Thomam, et Jacobum Alphæi, et Thaddæum, et Simonem Cananæum,

18 ანდრეა და ფილიპე, ბართლომე და მატთეოს, თომა და იაკობ ალფესი, თადეოს და სიმონ კანანელი

And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,

καὶ Ἰούδαν Ἰσκαριώθ, ὃς καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτόν.

et Judam Iscariotem, qui et tradidit illum.

19 და იუდა ისკარიოტელი, რომელმანცა მისცა იგი.

And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.

Καὶ ἔρχεται εἰς οἶκον: καὶ συνέρχεται πάλιν [ὁ] ὄχλος, ὥστε μὴ δύνασθαι αὐτοὺς μηδὲ ἄρτον φαγεῖν.

Et veniunt ad domum: et convenit iterum turba, ita ut non possent neque panem manducare.

20 და მოვიდეს სახლსა, და შეკრბა კუალად მისა ერი, ვიდრემდის ვერ ჴელ-ეწიფებოდა მათ ვერცაღა პურისა ჭამად.

And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

καὶ ἀκούσαντες οἱ παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐξῆλθον κρατῆσαι αὐτόν, ἔλεγον γὰρ ὅτι ἐξέστη.

Et cum audissent sui, exierunt tenere eum: dicebant enim: Quoniam in furorem versus est.

21 და ესმა მის კერძოჲსათა და გამოვიდეს შეპყრობად მისა, რამეთუ იტყოდეს, ვითარმედ: განკრთომილ არს.

And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς οἱ ἀπὸ Ἰεροσολύμων καταβάντες ἔλεγον ὅτι Βεεζεβοὺλ ἔχει, καὶ ὅτι ἐν τῷ ἄρχοντι τῶν δαιμονίων ἐκβάλλει τὰ δαιμόνια.

Et scribæ, qui ab Jerosolymis descenderant, dicebant: Quoniam Beelzebub habet, et quia in principe dæmoniorum ejicit dæmonia.

22 და მწიგნობარნი იგი, რომელნი იერუსალჱმით შთამოსრულ იყვნეს, იტყოდეს, ვითარმედ: ბელზებული მის თანა არს, და მთავრითა ეშმაკთაჲთა განასხამს ეშმაკთა.

And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος αὐτοὺς ἐν παραβολαῖς ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς Πῶς δύναται Σατανᾶς Σατανᾶν ἐκβάλλειν;

Et convocatis eis in parabolis dicebat illis: Quomodo potest Satanas Satanam ejicere?

23 და მოუწოდა მათ და იგავით ეტოდა: ვითარ ჴელ-ეწიფების ეშმაკსა ეშმაკისა განჴდად?

And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

καὶ ἐὰν βασιλεία ἐφ᾽ ἑαυτὴν μερισθῇ, οὐ δύναται σταθῆναι ἡ βασιλεία ἐκείνη:

Et si regnum in se dividatur, non potest regnum illud stare.

24 და უკუეთუ მეუფებაჲ მეუფებასა განევლთას, ვერ ჴელ-ეწიფების დამტკიცებად მეუფებაჲ იგი.

And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

καὶ ἐὰν οἰκία ἐφ᾽ ἑαυτὴν μερισθῇ, οὐ δυνήσεται ἡ οἰκία ἐκείνη στῆναι:

Et si domus super semetipsam dispertiatur, non potest domus illa stare.

25 და უკუეთუ სახლი სახლსა განევლთას, ვერ ჴელ-ეწიფების სახლი იგი დამტკიცებად.

And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

καὶ εἰ ὁ Σατανᾶς ἀνέστη ἐφ᾽ ἑαυτὸν καὶ ἐμερίσθη, οὐ δύναται στῆναι ἀλλὰ τέλος ἔχει.

Et si Satanas consurrexerit in semetipsum, dispertitus est, et non poterit stare, sed finem habet.

26 და უკუეთუ ეშმაკი თავსა თჳსსა ზედა აღდგომილ არს და განყოფილ არს, ვერ ჴელ-ეწიფების დამტკიცებად, არამედ აღსასრული აქუს.

And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

ἀλλ᾽ οὐ δύναται οὐδεὶς εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν τοῦ ἰσχυροῦ εἰσελθὼν τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ διαρπάσαι ἐὰν μὴ πρῶτον τὸν ἰσχυρὸν δήσῃ, καὶ τότε τὴν οἰκίαν αὐτοῦ διαρπάσει.

Nemo potest vasa fortis ingressus in domum diripere, nisi prius fortem alliget, et tunc domum ejus diripiet.

27 და არცა ვის ჴელ-ეწიფების შესლვად სახლსა ძლიერისასა და ჭურჭელი მისი გამოტყუენვად, არა თუ პირველად ძლიერი იგი შეკრას და მაშინღა სახლი მისი გამოტყუენოს.

No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι πάντα ἀφεθήσεται τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων, τὰ ἁμαρτήματα καὶ αἱ βλασφημίαι ὅσα ἐὰν βλασφημήσωσιν:

Amen dico vobis, quoniam omnia dimittentur filiis hominum peccata, et blasphemiæ quibus blasphemaverint:

28 ამინ გეტყჳ თქუენ, ვითარმედ ყოველივე მიეტეოს ძეთა კაცთა ცოდვანი და გმობანი, რაოდენსაცა ჰგმობდენ;

Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

ὃς δ᾽ ἂν βλασφημήσῃ εἰς τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον, οὐκ ἔχει ἄφεσιν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, ἀλλὰ ἔνοχός ἐστιν αἰωνίου ἁμαρτήματος.

qui autem blasphemaverit in Spiritum Sanctum, non habebit remissionem in æternum, sed reus erit æterni delicti.

29 ხოლო რომელმან თქუას გმობაჲ სულისა წმიდისათჳს, არა აქუს მიტევებაჲ უკუნისამდე, არამედ თანამდებ არს იგი საუკუნოჲსა სასჯელისა.

But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

ὅτι ἔλεγον Πνεῦμα ἀκάθαρτον ἔχει.

Quoniam dicebant: Spiritum immundum habet.

30 რამეთუ იტყოდეს, ვითარმედ: სული არაწმიდაჲ არს მის თანა.

Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Καὶ ἔρχονται ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔξω στήκοντες ἀπέστειλαν πρὸς αὐτὸν καλοῦντες αὐτόν.

Et veniunt mater ejus et fratres: et foris stantes miserunt ad eum vocantes eum,

31 მოვიდეს უკუე ძმანი მისნი და დედაჲ მისი და გარეშე დგეს და მოუვლინეს მას და გამოხადოდეს.

There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

καὶ ἐκάθητο περὶ αὐτὸν ὄχλος, καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Ἰδοὺ ἡ μήτηρ σου καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί σου ἔξω ζητοῦσίν σε.

et sedebat circa eum turba: et dicunt ei: Ecce mater tua et fratres tui foris quærunt te.

32 და სხდა გარემო მისა ერი მრავალი; და ვითარცა ჰრქუეს მას: აჰა დედაჲ შენი და ძმანი შენნი გარე დგანან და გეძიებენ შენ,

And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς αὐτοῖς λέγει Τίς ἐστιν ἡ μήτηρ μου καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί;

Et respondens eis, ait: Quæ est mater mea et fratres mei?

33 მიუგო იესუ და ჰრქუა: ვინ არს დედაჲ ჩემი ანუ ძმანი ჩემნი?

And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

καὶ περιβλεψάμενος τοὺς περὶ αὐτὸν κύκλῳ καθημένους λέγει Ἴδε ἡ μήτηρ μου καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοί μου:

Et circumspiciens eos, qui in circuitu ejus sedebant, ait: Ecce mater mea et fratres mei.

34 და მიმოიხილა გარემო მისა მოწაფეთა თჳსთა მსხდომარეთა და ჰრქუა: აჰა დედაჲ ჩემი და ძმანი ჩემნი!

And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

ὃς ἂν ποιήσῃ τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ, οὗτος ἀδελφός μου καὶ ἀδελφὴ καὶ μήτηρ ἐστίν.

Qui enim fecerit voluntatem Dei, hic frater meus, et soror mea, et mater est.

35 რამეთუ რომელმან ყოს ნებაჲ ღმრთისაჲ, ესე არს ძმაჲ ჩემი დაჲ ჩემი და დედაჲ ჩემი.

For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
