10 The Gospel According to Saint Mark

Καὶ ἐκεῖθεν ἀναστὰς ἔρχεται εἰς τὰ ὅρια τῆς Ἰουδαίας καὶ πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου, καὶ συνπορεύονται πάλιν ὄχλοι πρὸς αὐτόν, καὶ ὡς εἰώθει πάλιν ἐδίδασκεν αὐτούς.

Et inde exsurgens venit in fines Judææ ultra Jordanem: et conveniunt iterum turbæ ad eum: et sicut consueverat, iterum docebat illos.

1 და აღდგა მიერ იესუ და მოვიდა საზღვართა ჰურიასტანისათა, წიაღ-იორდანესა, და შეკრბებოდა მისა კუალად ერი, და, ვითარცა ჩუეულ იყო, კუალად ასწავებდა მათ.

And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.

Καὶ [προσελθόντες Φαρισαῖοι] ἐπηρώτων αὐτὸν εἰ ἔξεστιν ἀνδρὶ γυναῖκα ἀπολῦσαι, πειράζοντες αὐτόν.

Et accedentes pharisæi interrogabant eum: Si licet vero uxorem dimittere: tentantes eum.

2 ხოლო ფარისეველნი იგი მოუჴდეს და ჰკითხვიდეს მას: უკუეთუ ჯერ-არს კაცისა ცოლისა თჳსისა განტევებაჲ? და გამოსცდიდეს მას.

And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.

ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Τί ὑμῖν ἐνετείλατο Μωυσῆς;

At ille respondens, dixit eis: Quid vobis præcepit Moyses?

3 ხოლო თავადმან მიუგო და ჰრქუა მათ: ვითარ გამცნო თქუენ მოსე?

And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?

οἱ δὲ εἶπαν Ἐπέτρεψεν Μωυσῆς “βιβλίον ἀποστασίου γράψαι καὶ ἀπολῦσαι.”

Qui dixerunt: Moyses permisit libellum repudii scribere, et dimittere.

4 ხოლო მათ ჰრქუეს: მოსე ბრძანა წიგნი განშორებისაჲ მიცემად და განტევებად.

And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Πρὸς τὴν σκληροκαρδίαν ὑμῶν ἔγραψεν ὑμῖν τὴν ἐντολὴν ταύτην:

Quibus respondens Jesus, ait: Ad duritiam cordis vestri scripsit vobis præceptum istud:

5 მიუგო იესუ და ჰრქუა მათ: გულფიცხელობისა თქუენისათჳს დაწერა მოსე მცნებაჲ ეგე.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

ἀπὸ δὲ ἀρχῆς κτίσεως “ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἐποίησεν [αὐτούς]:

ab initio autem creaturæ masculum et feminam fecit eos Deus.

6 ხოლო დასაბამითგან დაბადებისაჲთ მამაკაცად და დედაკაცად შექმნნა იგინი ღმერთმან და თქუა:

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

ἕνεκεν τούτου καταλείψει ἄνθρωπος τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν μητέρα,

Propter hoc relinquet homo patrem suum et matrem, et adhærebit ad uxorem suam:

7 ამისთჳს დაუტეოს კაცმან მამაჲ თჳსი და დედაჲ თჳსი და შეეყოს ცოლსა თჳსსა,

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

καὶ ἔσονται οἱ δύο εἰς σάρκα μίαν:” ὥστε οὐκέτι εἰσὶν δύο ἀλλὰ μία σάρξ:

et erunt duo in carne una. Itaque jam non sunt duo, sed una caro.

8 და იყვნენ ორნივე იგი ერთ ჴორც, ვითარმედ არღარა არიან ორ, არამედ ერთ ჴორც.

And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

ὃ οὖν ὁ θεὸς συνέζευξεν ἄνθρωπος μὴ χωριζέτω.

Quod ergo Deus conjunxit, homo non separet.

9 რომელნი ღმერთმან შეაუღლნა, კაცი ნუ განაშორებნ.

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Καὶ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν πάλιν οἱ μαθηταὶ περὶ τούτου ἐπηρώτων αὐτόν.

Et in domo iterum discipuli ejus de eodem interrogaverunt eum.

10 და მერმე სახლსა რაჲ შინა იყო, კუალად მისვე სიტყჳსათჳს ჰკითხვიდეს მას მოწაფენი მისნი. ხოლო იესუ ჰრქუა მათ:

And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Ὃς ἂν ἀπολύσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ καὶ γαμήσῃ ἄλλην μοιχᾶται ἐπ᾽ αὐτήν,

Et ait illis: Quicumque dimiserit uxorem suam, et aliam duxerit, adulterium committit super eam.

11 უკუეთუ განუტეოს ქმარმან ცოლი თჳსი და შეირთოს სხუაჲ, მან იმრუშა.

And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

καὶ ἐὰν αὐτὴ ἀπολύσασα τὸν ἄνδρα αὐτῆς γαμήσῃ ἄλλον μοιχᾶται.

Et si uxor dimiserit virum suum, et alii nupserit, mœchatur.

12 და ცოლი თუ განვიდეს ქმრისაგან და შეერთოს სხუასა, მანცა იმრუშა.

And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

Καὶ προσέφερον αὐτῷ παιδία ἵνα αὐτῶν ἅψηται: οἱ δὲ μαθηταὶ ἐπετίμησαν αὐτοῖς.

Et offerebant illi parvulos ut tangeret illos. Discipuli autem comminabantur offerentibus.

13 და მოჰგურიდეს მას ყრმებსა, რაჲთა ჴელი დასდვას მათ; ხოლო მოწაფენი აყენებდეს მათ, რომელნი-იგი მოჰგურიდეს.

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

ἰδὼν δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἠγανάκτησεν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἄφετε τὰ παιδία ἔρχεσθαι πρός με, μὴ κωλύετε αὐτά, τῶν γὰρ τοιούτων ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ.

Quos cum videret Jesus, indigne tulit, et ait illis: Sinite parvulos venire ad me, et ne prohibueritis eos: talium enim est regnum Dei.

14 ვითარცა იხილა იესუ, შეჰრისხნა მათ და ჰრქუა: აცადეთ ყრმებსა მაგას მოსვლად ჩემდა და ნუ აყენებთ მაგათ, რამეთუ ეგევითართაჲ არს სასუფეველი ცათაჲ.

But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὃς ἂν μὴ δέξηται τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ ὡς παιδίον, οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθῃ εἰς αὐτήν.

Amen dico vobis: Quisquis non receperit regnum Dei velut parvulus, non intrabit in illud.

15 ამენ გეტყჳ თქუენ: რამეთუ რომელმან არა შეიწყნაროს სასუფეველი ღმრთისაჲ, ვითარცა ყრმაჲ, ვერ შევიდეს მას.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

καὶ ἐναγκαλισάμενος αὐτὰ κατευλόγει τιθεὶς τὰς χεῖρας ἐπ᾽ αὐτά.

Et complexans eos, et imponens manus super illos, benedicebat eos.

16 და შეიტკბობდა მათ და დაასხმიდა მათ ზედა ჴელთა და აკურთხევდა მათ.

And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Καὶ ἐκπορευομένου αὐτοῦ εἰς ὁδὸν προσδραμὼν εἷς καὶ γονυπετήσας αὐτὸν ἐπηρώτα αὐτόν Διδάσκαλε ἀγαθέ, τί ποιήσω ἵνα ζωὴν αἰώνιον κληρονομήσω;

Et cum egressus esset in viam, procurrens quidam genu flexo ante eum, rogabat eum: Magister bone, quid faciam ut vitam æternam percipiam?

17 და ვითარცა გამოვიდა იგი გზასა, ესერა მდიდარი ვინმე მორბიოდა მისა და მუჴლნი დაიდგნა მის წინაშე, ევედრებოდა მას და ეტყოდა: მოძღუარო სახიერო, რომელი საქმე ვქმნე, რაჲთა ცხორებაჲ საუკუნოჲ დავიმკჳდრო?

And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτῷ Τί με λέγεις ἀγαθόν; οὐδεὶς ἀγαθὸς εἰ μὴ εἷς ὁ θεός.

Jesus autem dixit ei: Quid me dicis bonum? nemo bonus, nisi unus Deus.

18 ხოლო იესუ ჰრქუა მას: რაჲსა მეტყჳ მე სახიერით? არავინ არს სახიერ, გარნა ღმერთი მხოლოჲ.

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

τὰς ἐντολὰς οἶδας “Μὴ φονεύσῃς, Μὴ μοιχεύσῃς, Μὴ κλέψῃς, Μὴ ψευδομαρτυρήσῃς,” Μὴ ἀποστερήσῃς, “Τίμα τὸν πατέρα σου καὶ τὴν μητέρα.”

Præcepta nosti: ne adulteres, ne occidas, ne fureris, ne falsum testimonium dixeris, ne fraudum feceris, honora patrem tuum et matrem.

19 მცნებანი იცნი: ნუ კაც-ჰკლავ, ნუ იპარავ, ნუ ცილსა სწამებ, ნუ დააკლებ კეთილის ყოფად, პატივ-ეც მამასა შენსა და დედასა შენსა.

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

ὁ δὲ ἔφη αὐτῷ Διδάσκαλε, ταῦτα πάντα ἐφυλαξάμην ἐκ νεότητός μου.

At ille respondens, ait illi: Magister, hæc omnia observavi a juventute mea.

20 ხოლო მან მიუგო და ჰრქუა მას: ესე ყოველი ვყავ სიჭაბუკით ჩემითგან. რაჲღა მაკლს მე?

And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ἐμβλέψας αὐτῷ ἠγάπησεν αὐτὸν καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ἕν σε ὑστερεῖ: ὕπαγε ὅσα ἔχεις πώλησον καὶ δὸς [τοῖς] πτωχοῖς, καὶ ἕξεις θησαυρὸν ἐν οὐρανῷ, καὶ δεῦρο ἀκολούθει μοι.

Jesus autem intuitus eum, dilexit eum, et dixit ei: Unum tibi deest: vade, quæcumque habes vende, et da pauperibus, et habebis thesaurum in cælo: et veni, sequere me.

21 ხოლო იესუ მიჰხედა და შეუყუარდა იგი და ჰრქუა მას: უკუეთუ გნებავს სრულ ყოფაჲ, ერთიღა გაკლს შენ: წარვედ და, რაოდენი გაქუს, განყიდე და მიეც გლახაკთა და გაქუნდეს საუნჯე ცათა შინა, აღიღე ჯუარი, მოვედ და შემომიდეგ მე.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

ὁ δὲ στυγνάσας ἐπὶ τῷ λόγῳ ἀπῆλθεν λυπούμενος, ἦν γὰρ ἔχων κτήματα πολλά.

Qui contristatus in verbo, abiit mœrens: erat enim habens multas possessiones.

22 ხოლო იგი შეწუხნა ამის სიტყჳსათჳს და წარვიდა მწუხარე, რამეთუ აქუნდა მონაგები ფრიად.

And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

Καὶ περιβλεψάμενος ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ Πῶς δυσκόλως οἱ τὰ χρήματα ἔχοντες εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ εἰσελεύσονται.

Et circumspiciens Jesus, ait discipulis suis: Quam difficile qui pecunias habent, in regnum Dei introibunt!

23 და მიმოიხილა იესუ და ჰრქუა მოწაფეთა თჳსთა, ვითარმედ: ძნიად შევიდენ სასუფეველსა ღმრთისასა, რომელთა აქუს საფასე.

And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

οἱ δὲ μαθηταὶ ἐθαμβοῦντο ἐπὶ τοῖς λόγοις αὐτοῦ. ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς πάλιν ἀποκριθεὶς λέγει αὐτοῖς Τέκνα, πῶς δύσκολόν ἐστιν εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ εἰσελθεῖν:

Discipuli autem obstupescebant in verbis ejus. At Jesus rursus respondens ait illis: Filioli, quam difficile est, confidentes in pecuniis, in regnum Dei introire!

24 ხოლო მოწაფეთა დაუკჳრდებოდა სიტყუასა ამას ზედა, ხოლო იესუ კუალად მიუგო და ჰრქუა მათ: რაოდენ ძნელ არს, რომელნი საფასეთა ესვენ, შესლვაჲ სასუფეველსა ღმრთისასა!

And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

εὐκοπώτερόν ἐστιν κάμηλον διὰ τρυμαλιᾶς ῥαφίδος διελθεῖν ἢ πλούσιον εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ εἰσελθεῖν.

Facilius est camelum per foramen acus transire, quam divitem intrare in regnum Dei.

25 უადვილეს არს აქლემი ჴურელსა ნემსისასა განსლვად, ვიდრე მდიდარი შესლვად სასუფეველსა ღმრთისასა.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

οἱ δὲ περισσῶς ἐξεπλήσσοντο λέγοντες πρὸς αὐτόν Καὶ τίς δύναται σωθῆναι;

Qui magis admirabantur, dicentes ad semetipsos: Et quis potest salvus fieri?

26 ხოლო მათ უმეტესად განუკჳრდებოდა და იტყოდეს ურთიერთას: და ვის ძალ-უც ცხორებად?

And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?

ἐμβλέψας αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει Παρὰ ἀνθρώποις ἀδύνατον ἀλλ᾽ οὐ παρὰ θεῷ, “πάντα” γὰρ “δυνατὰ παρὰ [τῷ] θεῷ”.

Et intuens illos Jesus, ait: Apud homines impossibile est, sed non apud Deum: omnia enim possibilia sunt apud Deum.

27 მიჰხედა მათ იესუ და ჰრქუა: კაცთა მიერ შეუძლებელ არს, არამედ არა ღმრთისაგანცა, რამეთუ ყოველივე შესაძლებელ არს ღმრთისა მიერ.

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Ἤρξατο λέγειν ὁ Πέτρος αὐτῷ Ἰδοὺ ἡμεῖς ἀφήκαμεν πάντα καὶ ἠκολουθήκαμέν σοι.

Et cœpit ei Petrus dicere: Ecce nos dimisimus omnia, et secuti sumus te.

28 იწყო პეტრე სიტყუად მისა და ჰრქუა: აჰა ესერა ჩუენ დაუტევეთ ყოველივე და შეგიდეგით შენ.

Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

ἔφη ὁ Ἰησοῦς Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐδεὶς ἔστιν ὃς ἀφῆκεν οἰκίαν ἢ ἀδελφοὺς ἢ ἀδελφὰς ἢ μητέρα ἢ πατέρα ἢ τέκνα ἢ ἀγροὺς ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ καὶ [ἕνεκεν] τοῦ εὐαγγελίου,

Respondens Jesus, ait: Amen dico vobis: Nemo est qui reliquerit domum, aut fratres, aut sorores, aut patrem, aut matrem, aut filios, aut agros propter me et propter Evangelium,

29 მიუგო იესუ და ჰრქუა მათ: ამენ გეტყჳ თქუენ: არავინ არს, რომელმან დაუტევა სახლი, გინა ძმანი, გინა დანი, გინა მამაჲ, გინა დედაჲ, გინა ცოლი, გინა შვილნი, გინა აგარაკნი ჩემთჳს და სახარებისა ამისთჳს,

And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

ἐὰν μὴ λάβῃ ἑκατονταπλασίονα νῦν ἐν τῷ καιρῷ τούτῳ οἰκίας καὶ ἀδελφοὺς καὶ ἀδελφὰς καὶ μητέρας καὶ τέκνα καὶ ἀγροὺς μετὰ διωγμῶν, καὶ ἐν τῷ αἰῶνι τῷ ἐρχομένῳ ζωὴν αἰώνιον.

qui non accipiat centies tantum, nunc in tempore hoc: domos, et fratres, et sorores, et matres, et filios, et agros, cum persecutionibus, et in sæculo futuro vitam æternam.

30 უკუეთუ არა მოიღოს ასი წილი აწ ჟამსა ამას სახლი და ძმანი და დანი, მამაჲ და დედაჲ და შვილნი და აგარაკნი შემდგომად დევნისა და საუკუნესა მას მომავალსა ცხორებაჲ საუკუნოჲ.

But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

πολλοὶ δὲ ἔσονται πρῶτοι ἔσχατοι καὶ [οἱ] ἔσχατοι πρῶτοι.

Multi autem erunt primi novissimi, et novissimi primi.

31 ხოლო მრავალნი იყვნენ პირველნი უკუანაჲსკნელ, და უკუანაჲსკნელნი პირველ.

But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

Ἦσαν δὲ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἀναβαίνοντες εἰς Ἰεροσόλυμα, καὶ ἦν προάγων αὐτοὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς, καὶ ἐθαμβοῦντο, οἱ δὲ ἀκολουθοῦντες ἐφοβοῦντο. καὶ παραλαβὼν πάλιν τοὺς δώδεκα ἤρξατο αὐτοῖς λέγειν τὰ μέλλοντα αὐτῷ συμβαίνειν

Erant autem in via ascendentes Jerosolymam: et præcedebat illos Jesus, et stupebant: et sequentes timebant. Et assumens iterum duodecim, cœpit illis dicere quæ essent ei eventura.

32 და იყვნეს გზასა ზედა და აღვიდოდეს იერუსალჱმდ; და იესუ წინა-უძღოდა მათ, და დაუკჳრდებოდა მოწაფეთა. ხოლო იგინი მისდევდეს მას და ეშინოდა. და წარმოიყვანნა კუალად ათორმეტნი იგი და იწყო თხრობად მათა მერმისა მისთჳს, რომელი შემთხუევად იყო მისა,

And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,

ὅτι Ἰδοὺ ἀναβαίνομεν εἰς Ἰεροσόλυμα, καὶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου παραδοθήσεται τοῖς ἀρχιερεῦσιν καὶ τοῖς γραμματεῦσιν, καὶ κατακρινοῦσιν αὐτὸν θανάτῳ καὶ παραδώσουσιν αὐτὸν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν

Quia ecce ascendimus Jerosolymam, et Filius hominis tradetur principibus sacerdotum, et scribis, et senioribus, et damnabunt eum morte, et tradent eum gentibus:

33 ვითარმედ: აჰა ესერა აღვალთ იერუსალჱმდ, და ძე კაცისაჲ მიეცეს მღდელთ-მოძღუართა და მწიგნობართა, და დასაჯონ იგი სიკუდილდ და მისცენ იგი წარმართთა;

Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:

καὶ ἐμπαίξουσιν αὐτῷ καὶ ἐμπτύσουσιν αὐτῷ καὶ μαστιγώσουσιν αὐτὸν καὶ ἀποκτενοῦσιν, καὶ μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας ἀναστήσεται.

et illudent ei, et conspuent eum, et flagellabunt eum, et interficient eum: et tertia die resurget.

34 და ეკიცხევდენ მას და ტანჯონ იგი და ჰნერწყუვიდენ მას და მოკლან იგი, და მესამესა დღესა აღდგეს.

And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Καὶ προσπορεύονται αὐτῷ Ἰάκωβος καὶ Ἰωάνης οἱ [δύο] υἱοὶ Ζεβεδαίου λέγοντες αὐτῷ Διδάσκαλε, θέλομεν ἵνα ὃ ἐὰν αἰτήσωμέν σε ποιήσῃς ἡμῖν.

Et accedunt ad eum Jacobus et Joannes filii Zebedæi, dicentes: Magister, volumus ut quodcumque petierimus, facias nobis.

35 და მოვიდეს მისა იაკობ და იოვანე, ძენი ზებედესნი, და ჰრქუს: მოძღუარ, გუნებავს, რაჲთა რომელი გთხოოთ, მიყო ჩუენ.

And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Τί θέλετε ποιήσω ὑμῖν;

At ille dixit eis: Quid vultis ut faciam vobis?

36 ხოლო თავადმან ჰრქუა მათ: რაჲ გნებავს ჩემგან, რაჲთა გიყო თქუენ?

And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?

οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Δὸς ἡμῖν ἵνα εἷς σου ἐκ δεξιῶν καὶ εἷς ἐξ ἀριστερῶν καθίσωμεν ἐν τῇ δόξῃ σου.

Et dixerunt: Da nobis ut unus ad dexteram tuam, et alius ad sinistram tuam sedeamus in gloria tua.

37 ხოლო მათ ჰრქუეს მას: მომეც ჩუენ, რაჲთა ერთი მარჯუენით შენსა და ერთი მარცხენით შენსა დავსხდეთ დიდებასა შენსა.

They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Οὐκ οἴδατε τί αἰτεῖσθε: δύνασθε πιεῖν τὸ ποτήριον ὃ ἐγὼ πίνω, ἢ τὸ βάπτισμα ὃ ἐγὼ βαπτίζομαι βαπτισθῆναι;

Jesus autem ait eis: Nescitis quid petatis: potestis bibere calicem, quem ego bibo, aut baptismo, quo ego baptizor, baptizari?

38 ხოლო იესუ ჰრქუა მათ: არა იცით, რასა ითხოვთ. ძალ-გიცა სასუმელსა, რომელსა მე შევსუამ, შესუმად, და ნათლის-ღებასა, რომელსა მე ნათელ-ვიღებ, ნათლისღებად?

But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Δυνάμεθα. ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Τὸ ποτήριον ὃ ἐγὼ πίνω πίεσθε καὶ τὸ βάπτισμα ὃ ἐγὼ βαπτίζομαι βαπτισθήσεσθε,

At illi dixerunt ei: Possumus. Jesus autem ait eis: Calicem quidem, quem ego bibo, bibetis; et baptismo, quo ego baptizor, baptizabimini:

39 ხოლო მათ ჰრქუეს მას: ძალ-გჳც. ხოლო იესუ ჰრქუა მათ: სასუმელი სამე, რომელსა მე ვსუამ, სუათ, და ნათლის-ღებაჲ, რომელი მე ნათელ-ვიღო, ნათელ-იღოთ.

And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:

τὸ δὲ καθίσαι ἐκ δεξιῶν μου ἢ ἐξ εὐωνύμων οὐκ ἔστιν ἐμὸν δοῦναι, ἀλλ᾽ οἷς ἡτοίμασται.

sedere autem ad dexteram meam, vel ad sinistram, non est meum dare vobis, sed quibus paratum est.

40 ხოლო დაჯდომაჲ მარჯუენით ჩემსა და მარცხენით არა არს ჩემი მიცემად, არამედ ვიეთდა განმზადებულ არს.

But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

καὶ ἀκούσαντες οἱ δέκα ἤρξαντο ἀγανακτεῖν περὶ Ἰακώβου καὶ Ἰωάνου.

Et audientes decem, cœperunt indignari de Jacobo et Joanne.

41 და ესმა რაჲ ესე ათთა მათ, იწყეს რისხვად იაკობისა და იოვანესა.

And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.

καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος αὐτοὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς Οἴδατε ὅτι οἱ δοκοῦντες ἄρχειν τῶν ἐθνῶν κατακυριεύουσιν αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ μεγάλοι αὐτῶν κατεξουσιάζουσιν αὐτῶν.

Jesus autem vocans eos, ait illis: Scitis quia hi, qui videntur principari gentibus, dominantur eis: et principes eorum potestatem habent ipsorum.

42 ხოლო იესუ მოუწოდა და ჰრქუა მათ: უწყითა, რამეთუ რომელნი-იგი ჰგონებედ მთავრად წარმართთა, უფლებედ მათ ზედა, და დიდ-დიდნი მათნი ჴელმწიფებედ მათ ზედა?

But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.

οὐχ οὕτως δέ ἐστιν ἐν ὑμῖν: ἀλλ᾽ ὃς ἂν θέλῃ μέγας γενέσθαι ἐν ὑμῖν, ἔσται ὑμῶν διάκονος,

Non ita est autem in vobis, sed quicumque voluerit fieri major, erit vester minister:

43 ხოლო არა ეგრე იყოს თქუენ შორის. არამედ რომელსა უნდეს დიდ ყოფაჲ თქუენ შორის, იყოს თქუენდა მსახურ;

But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:

καὶ ὃς ἂν θέλῃ ἐν ὑμῖν εἶναι πρῶτος, ἔσται πάντων δοῦλος:

et quicumque voluerit in vobis primus esse, erit omnium servus.

44 და რომელსა უნდეს თქუენ შორის პირველ ყოფაჲ, იყოს ყოველთა მონა.

And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

καὶ γὰρ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου οὐκ ἦλθεν διακονηθῆναι ἀλλὰ διακονῆσαι καὶ δοῦναι τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ λύτρον ἀντὶ πολλῶν.

Nam et Filius hominis non venit ut ministraretur ei, sed ut ministraret, et daret animam suam redemptionem pro multis.

45 და რამეთუ ძე კაცისაჲ არა მოვიდა, ვითარმცა იმსახურა, არამედ მსახურებად და მიცემად სული თჳსი საჴსრად მრავალთა.

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς Ἰερειχώ. Καὶ ἐκπορευομένου αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ Ἰερειχὼ καὶ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ὄχλου ἱκανοῦ ὁ υἱὸς Τιμαίου Βαρτίμαιος τυφλὸς προσαίτης ἐκάθητο παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν.

Et veniunt Jericho: et proficiscente eo de Jericho, et discipulis ejus, et plurima multitudine, filius Timæi Bartimæus cæcus, sedebat juxta viam mendicans.

46 და მოვიდეს იერიქოდ. და ვითარცა გამოვიდა იესუ და მოწაფენი მისნი იერიქჲთ და ერი მრავალი მათ თანა, ძე ტიმესი ბარტიმეოს, ბრმაჲ, ჯდა გზასა თანა მთხოვლად.

And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

καὶ ἀκούσας ὅτι Ἰησοῦς ὁ Ναζαρηνός ἐστιν ἤρξατο κράζειν καὶ λέγειν Υἱὲ Δαυεὶδ Ἰησοῦ, ἐλέησόν με.

Qui cum audisset quia Jesus Nazarenus est, cœpit clamare, et dicere: Jesu fili David, miserere mei.

47 და ესმა რაჲ, რამეთუ იესუ ნაზარეველი არს, იწყო ღაღადებად და სიტყუად: იესუ, ძეო დავითისო, შემიწყალე მე!

And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

καὶ ἐπετίμων αὐτῷ πολλοὶ ἵνα σιωπήσῃ: ὁ δὲ πολλῷ μᾶλλον ἔκραζεν Υἱὲ Δαυείδ, ἐλέησόν με.

Et comminabantur ei multi ut taceret. At ille multo magis clamabat: Fili David, miserere mei.

48 და ჰრისხვიდეს მას მრავალნი, რაჲთა დადუმნეს; ხოლო იგი უფროჲს ღაღადებდა: ძეო დავითისო, შემიწყალე მე!

And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

καὶ στὰς ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Φωνήσατε αὐτόν. καὶ φωνοῦσι τὸν τυφλὸν λέγοντες αὐτῷ Θάρσει, ἔγειρε, φωνεῖ σε.

Et stans Jesus præcepit illum vocari. Et vocant cæcum, dicentes ei: Animæquior esto: surge, vocat te.

49 დადგა იესუ და ბრძანა მოწოდებაჲ მისი და მოუწოდეს ბრმასა მას და ეტყოდეს: ნუ გეშინინ, აღდეგ, გიწესს შენ.

And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

ὁ δὲ ἀποβαλὼν τὸ ἱμάτιον αὐτοῦ ἀναπηδήσας ἦλθεν πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν.

Qui projecto vestimento suo exiliens, venit ad eum.

50 ხოლო მან დააბნია სამოსელი თჳსი და აღდგა და მოვიდა მისა.

And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Τί σοι θέλεις ποιήσω; ὁ δὲ τυφλὸς εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ῥαββουνεί, ἵνα ἀναβλέψω.

Et respondens Jesus dixit illi: Quid tibi vis faciam? Cæcus autem dixit ei: Rabboni, ut videam.

51 მიუგო და ჰრქუა მას იესუ: რაჲ გნებავს, და გიყო შენ? ხოლო ბრმამან მან ჰრქუა მას: რაბი, რაჲთა აღვიხილნე თუალნი ჩემნი.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

καὶ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ὕπαγε, ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε. καὶ εὐθὺς ἀνέβλεψεν, καὶ ἠκολούθει αὐτῷ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ.

Jesus autem ait illi: Vade, fides tua te salvum fecit. Et confestim vidit, et sequebatur eum in via.

52 ხოლო იესუ ჰრქუა მას: გუალე, ვიდოდე, სარწმუნოებამან შენმან გაცხოვნა შენ. და მეყსეულად აღიხილნა და მისდევდა მას გზასა ზედა.

And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

11 The Gospel According to Saint Mark

Καὶ ὅτε ἐγγίζουσιν εἰς Ἰεροσόλυμα εἰς Βηθφαγὴ καὶ Βηθανίαν πρὸς τὸ Ὄρος τῶν Ἐλαιῶν, ἀποστέλλει δύο τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ

Et cum appropinquarent Jerosolymæ et Bethaniæ ad montem Olivarum, mittit duos ex discipulis suis,

1 და რაჟამს მიეახლნეს იერუსალჱმდ, ბეთბაგედ და ბეთანიად, მთასა თანა ზეთისხილთასა, წარავლინნა ორნი მოწაფეთაგანნი

And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Ὑπάγετε εἰς τὴν κώμην τὴν κατέναντι ὑμῶν, καὶ εὐθὺς εἰσπορευόμενοι εἰς αὐτὴν εὑρήσετε πῶλον δεδεμένον ἐφ᾽ ὃν οὐδεὶς οὔπω ἀνθρώπων ἐκάθισεν: λύσατε αὐτὸν καὶ φέρετε.

et ait illis: Ite in castellum, quod contra vos est, et statim introëuntes illuc, invenietis pullum ligatum, super quem nemo adhuc hominum sedit: solvite illum, et adducite.

2 და ჰრქუა მათ: წარვედით დაბასა მაგას, რომელ არს წინაშე თქუენსა; და შე-რაჲ-ხჳდოდით მას შინა, ჰპოოთ კიცჳ დაბმული, რომელსა კაცი არღა დაჯდომილ არს; აღჰჴსენით იგი და მომგუარეთ.

And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.

καὶ ἐάν τις ὑμῖν εἴπῃ Τί ποιεῖτε τοῦτο; εἴπατε Ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ χρείαν ἔχει: καὶ εὐθὺς αὐτὸν ἀποστέλλει πάλιν ὧδε.

Et si quis vobis dixerit: Quid facitis? dicite, quia Domino necessarius est: et continuo illum dimittet huc.

3 და უკუეთუ ვინმე გრქუას რაჲ თქუენ, არქუთ, ვითარმედ: უფალსა უჴმს ეგე, და მეყსეულად მოავლინოს იგი აქა.

And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.

καὶ ἀπῆλθον καὶ εὗρον πῶλον δεδεμένον πρὸς θύραν ἔξω ἐπὶ τοῦ ἀμφόδου, καὶ λύουσιν αὐτόν.

Et abeuntes invenerunt pullum ligatum ante januam foris in bivio: et solvunt eum.

4 ხოლო იგინი წარვიდეს და პოვეს კიცჳ იგი დაბმული კართა თანა გარეშე შესავალთა და აღჰჴსნეს იგი.

And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.

καί τινες τῶν ἐκεῖ ἑστηκότων ἔλεγον αὐτοῖς Τί ποιεῖτε λύοντες τὸν πῶλον;

Et quidam de illic stantibus dicebant illis: Quid facitis solventes pullum?

5 ხოლო მუნ მდგომარენი ვინმე ეტყოდეს მათ: რასა ჰზამთ და აღჰჴსნით კიცუსა მაგას?

And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?

οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτοῖς καθὼς εἶπεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς: καὶ ἀφῆκαν αὐτούς.

Qui dixerunt eis sicut præceperat illis Jesus, et dimiserunt eis.

6 ხოლო მათ ჰრქუეს, ვითარცა-იგი უბრძანა მათ იესუ; და მიუტევეს მათ.

And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

καὶ φέρουσιν τὸν πῶλον πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν, καὶ ἐπιβάλλουσιν αὐτῷ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν.

Et duxerunt pullum ad Jesum: et imponunt illi vestimenta sua, et sedit super eum.

7 და მოიყვანეს კიცჳ იგი იესუჲსა. და დაასხეს მას ზედა სამოსელი მათი, და დაჯდა მას ზედა.

And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

καὶ πολλοὶ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν ἔστρωσαν εἰς τὴν ὁδόν, ἄλλοι δὲ στιβάδας κόψαντες ἐκ τῶν ἀγρῶν.

Multi autem vestimenta sua straverunt in via: alii autem frondes cædebant de arboribus, et sternebant in via.

8 და მრავალნი სამოსელსა მათსა დაუფენდეს გზასა ზედა, და სხუანი მოჰკაფდეს რტოთა ხეთაგან და დაუფენდეს გზასა ზედა.

And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.

καὶ οἱ προάγοντες καὶ οἱ ἀκολουθοῦντες ἔκραζον ‘ Ὡσαννά: “Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου:”

Et qui præibant, et qui sequebantur, clamabant, dicentes: Hosanna: benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini:

9 და რომელნი წინა-უძღოდეს და რომელნი უკუანა შეუდგეს, ღაღადებდეს და იტყოდეს: ოსანა მაღალთა შინა! კურთხეულ არს მომავალი მეუფე სახელითა უფლისაჲთა!

And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:

Εὐλογημένη ἡ ἐρχομένη βασιλεία τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν Δαυείδ: Ὡσαννὰ ἐν τοῖς ὑψίστοις.’

benedictum quod venit regnum patris nostri David: hosanna in excelsis.

10 კურთხეულ არს მოსლვაჲ მეუფისა დავითის, მამისა ჩუენისაჲ! გუაცხოვნენ ჩუენ, რომელი ხარ მაღალთა შინა!

Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.

Καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς Ἰεροσόλυμα εἰς τὸ ἱερόν: καὶ περιβλεψάμενος πάντα ὀψὲ ἤδη οὔσης τῆς ὥρας ἐξῆλθεν εἰς Βηθανίαν μετὰ τῶν δώδεκα.

Et introivit Jerosolymam in templum: et circumspectis omnibus, cum jam vespera esset hora, exiit in Bethaniam cum duodecim.

11 და შევიდა იესუ იერუსალჱმდ და ტაძარსა მას და მიმოხედვიდა ყოველსა, რამეთუ მწუხრი იყო ჟამი იგი. და განვიდა ბეთანიად ათორმეტთა თანა.

And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

Καὶ τῇ ἐπαύριον ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ Βηθανίας ἐπείνασεν.

Et alia die cum exirent a Bethania, esuriit.

12 და ხვალისაგან, ვითარ გამოვიდეს იგინი ბეთანიაჲთ, შეემშია.

And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

καὶ ἰδὼν συκῆν ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἔχουσαν φύλλα ἦλθεν εἰ ἄρα τι εὑρήσει ἐν αὐτῇ, καὶ ἐλθὼν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν οὐδὲν εὗρεν εἰ μὴ φύλλα, ὁ γὰρ καιρὸς οὐκ ἦν σύκων.

Cumque vidisset a longe ficum habentem folia, venit si quid forte inveniret in ea: et cum venisset ad eam, nihil invenit præter folia: non enim erat tempus ficorum.

13 და იხილა ლეღჳ ერთი შორით, რომელსა ესხა ფურცელი, და მოვიდა, უკუეთუმცა რაჲმე პოვა მას შინა. და მოვიდა რაჲ მისა, არარაჲ პოვა, გარნა ფურცელი ხოლო, რამეთუ არა იყო ჟამი ლეღჳისაჲ.

And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτῇ Μηκέτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐκ σοῦ μηδεὶς καρπὸν φάγοι. καὶ ἤκουον οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.

Et respondens dixit ei: Jam non amplius in æternum ex te fructum quisquam manducet. Et audiebant discipuli ejus.

14 და ჰრქუა მას: ნუღარამცა ვინ ჭამს უკუნისამდე შენგან ნაყოფსა. და ესმოდა ესე მოწაფეთა მისთა.

And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς Ἰεροσόλυμα. Καὶ εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἤρξατο ἐκβάλλειν τοὺς πωλοῦντας καὶ τοὺς ἀγοράζοντας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, καὶ τὰς τραπέζας τῶν κολλυβιστῶν καὶ τὰς καθέδρας τῶν πωλούντων τὰς περιστερὰς κατέστρεψεν

Et veniunt in Jerosolymam. Et cum introisset in templum, cœpit ejicere vendentes et ementes in templo: et mensas numulariorum, et cathedras vendentium columbas evertit:

15 და მოვიდეს იერუსალჱმდ, და შევიდა იესუ ტაძარსა მას და იწყო გამოსხმად განმსყიდელთა მათ და მომსყიდელთა მიერ ტაძრით; და ტაბლები იგი მეკერმეთაჲ მათ და დასასხდომელები იგი მსყიდელთაჲ მათ ტრედისათაჲ დაუმჴუა.

And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

καὶ οὐκ ἤφιεν ἵνα τις διενέγκῃ σκεῦος διὰ τοῦ ἱεροῦ,

et non sinebat ut quisquam transferret vas per templum:

16 და არა უტევებდა, რაჲთა გან-ვინმე-იღოს ჭურჭელი მიერ ტაძრით.

And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

καὶ ἐδίδασκεν καὶ ἔλεγεν Οὐ γέγραπται ὅτι “Ὁ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν;” ὑμεῖς δὲ πεποιήκατε αὐτὸν “σπήλαιον λῃστῶν.”

et docebat, dicens eis: Nonne scriptum est: Quia domus mea, domus orationis vocabitur omnibus gentibus? vos autem fecistis eam speluncam latronum.

17 და ასწავებდა და ეტყოდა, ვითარმედ: წერილ არს: სახლსა ჩემსა სახლ სალოცველ ეწოდოს ყოველთა მიერ წარმართთა, ხოლო თქუენ გიყოფიეს იგი ქუაბ ავაზაკთა.

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς, καὶ ἐζήτουν πῶς αὐτὸν ἀπολέσωσιν: ἐφοβοῦντο γὰρ αὐτόν, πᾶς γὰρ ὁ ὄχλος ἐξεπλήσσετο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ.

Quo audito principes sacerdotum et scribæ, quærebant quomodo eum perderent: timebant enim eum, quoniam universa turba admirabatur super doctrina ejus.

18 და ესმა ესე მღდელთ-მოძღუართა მათ და მწიგნობართა და ეძიებდეს, ვითარმცა წარწყმიდეს იგი; და ეშინოდა მისა, რამეთუ ყოველი ერი განკჳრვებულ იყო მოძღურებასა მას მისსა.

And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

Καὶ ὅταν ὀψὲ ἐγένετο, ἐξεπορεύοντο ἔξω τῆς πόλεως.

Et cum vespera facta esset, egrediebatur de civitate.

19 და ვითარცა იყო მწუხრი, განვიდოდა გარეშე ქალაქსა.

And when even was come, he went out of the city.

Καὶ παραπορευόμενοι πρωὶ εἶδον τὴν συκῆν ἐξηραμμένην ἐκ ῥιζῶν.

Et cum mane transirent, viderunt ficum aridam factam a radicibus.

20 და ვითარცა თანა-წარჰვიდოდეს განთიად, იხილეს ლეღჳ იგი განჴმელი ძირითაგან.

And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

καὶ ἀναμνησθεὶς ὁ Πέτρος λέγει αὐτῷ Ῥαββεί, ἴδε ἡ συκῆ ἣν κατηράσω ἐξήρανται.

Et recordatus Petrus, dixit ei: Rabbi, ecce ficus, cui maledixisti, aruit.

21 და მოეჴსენა პეტრეს და ჰრქუა მას: რაბი, აჰა ლეღჳ იგი, რომელსა სწყევე, განჴმა.

And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς Ἔχετε πίστιν θεοῦ:

Et respondens Jesus ait illis: Habete fidem Dei.

22 მიუგო იესუ და ჰრქუა მათ:

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ὃς ἂν εἴπῃ τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ Ἄρθητι καὶ βλήθητι εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ μὴ διακριθῇ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀλλὰ πιστεύῃ ὅτι ὃ λαλεῖ γίνεται, ἔσται αὐτῷ.

Amen dico vobis, quia quicumque dixerit huic monti: Tollere, et mittere in mare, et non hæsitaverit in corde suo, sed crediderit, quia quodcumque dixerit fiat, fiat ei.

23 გაქუნდინ სარწმუნოებაჲ ღმრთისაჲ. ამენ გეტყჳ თქუენ, ვითარმედ: რომელმან ჰრქუას მთასა ამას: აღიფხუარ და შთავარდი ზღუად! და არა შეორგულდეს გულსა თჳსსა, არამედ ჰრწმენეს, რამეთუ რომელი თქუას, იქმნეს, და იყოს ეგრე.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

διὰ τοῦτο λέγω ὑμῖν, πάντα ὅσα προσεύχεσθε καὶ αἰτεῖσθε, πιστεύετε ὅτι ἐλάβετε, καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν.

Propterea dico vobis, omnia quæcumque orantes petitis, credite quia accipietis, et evenient vobis.

24 ამისთჳს გეტყჳ თქუენ: ყოველსა რომელსა ლოცვასა შინა ითხოვდეთ, გრწმენინ, რამეთუ მოიღოთ, და გეყოს თქუენ.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

καὶ ὅταν στήκετε προσευχόμενοι, ἀφίετε εἴ τι ἔχετε κατά τινος, ἵνα καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ὑμῶν ὁ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς ἀφῇ ὑμῖν τὰ παραπτώματα ὑμῶν.

Et cum stabitis ad orandum, dimittite si quis habetis adversus aliquem: ut et Pater vester, qui in cælis est, dimittat vobis peccata vestra.

25 და რაჟამს სდგეთ ლოცვასა შინა, მიუტევეთ, უკუეთუ გაქუნდეს რაჲმე ბოროტი ვისთჳსმე, რაჲთა მამამანცა თქუენმან, რომელ არს ცათა შინა, მოგიტევნეს შეცოდებანი თქუენნი.

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Quod si vos non dimiseritis: nec Pater vester, qui in cælis est, dimittet vobis peccata vestra.

26 ხოლო უკუეთუ თქუენ არა მიუტევნეთ, არცა მამამან თქუენმან, რომელ არს ცათა შინა, მოგიტევნეს შეცოდებანი თქუენნი.

But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Καὶ ἔρχονται πάλιν εἰς Ἰεροσόλυμα. Καὶ ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ περιπατοῦντος αὐτοῦ ἔρχονται πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι

Et veniunt rursus Jerosolymam. Et cum ambularet in templo, accedunt ad eum summi sacerdotes, et scribæ, et seniores:

27 და მოვიდეს კუალად იერუსალჱმდ. და ვითარცა იქცეოდა იგი ტაძარსა მას შინა, მოვიდეს მისა მღდელთ-მოძღუარნი იგი და მწიგნობარნი და მოხუცებულნი.

And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,

καὶ ἔλεγον αὐτῷ Ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιεῖς; ἢ τίς σοι ἔδωκεν τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην ἵνα ταῦτα ποιῇς;

et dicunt ei: In qua potestate hæc facis? et quis dedit tibi hanc potestatem ut ista facias?

28 და ეტყოდეს მას: რომლითა ჴელმწიფებითა იქმ ამას, და ვინ მოგცა შენ ჴელმწიფებაჲ ესე, რამეთუ ამას იქმოდი?

And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἐπερωτήσω ὑμᾶς ἕνα λόγον, καὶ ἀποκρίθητέ μοι, καὶ ἐρῶ ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ:

Jesus autem respondens, ait illis: Interrogabo vos et ego unum verbum, et respondete mihi: et dicam vobis in qua potestate hæc faciam.

29 ხოლო იესუ მიუგო და ჰრქუა მათ: გკითხო მეცა თქუენ სიტყუაჲ ერთი, და თქუენ მომიგეთ მე, და მე გითხრა თქუენ, რომლითა ჴელმწიფებითა ვიქმ ამას:

And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

τὸ βάπτισμα τὸ Ἰωάνου ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἦν ἢ ἐξ ἀνθρώπων; ἀποκρίθητέ μοι.

Baptismus Joannis, de cælo erat, an ex hominibus? Respondete mihi.

30 ნათლის-ცემაჲ იოვანესი ზეცით იყო ანუ კაცთაგან? მითხართ მე.

The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.

καὶ διελογίζοντο πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς λέγοντες Ἐὰν εἴπωμεν Ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, ἐρεῖ Διὰ τί [οῦν] οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ;

At illi cogitabant secum, dicentes: Si dixerimus: De cælo, dicet: Quare non credidistis ei?

31 ხოლო იგინი განიზრახვიდეს თჳსაგან და იტყოდეს: უკუეთუ ვთქუათ: ზეცით იყო, გურქუას ჩუენ: რაჲსათჳს უკუე არა გრწმენა მისი?

And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?

ἀλλὰ εἴπωμεν Ἐξ ἀνθρώπων;—ἐφοβοῦντο τὸν ὄχλον, ἅπαντες γὰρ εἶχον τὸν Ἰωάνην ὄντως ὅτι προφήτης ἦν.

Si dixerimus: Ex hominibus, timemus populum: omnes enim habebant Joannem quia vere propheta esset.

32 და უკუეთუ ვთქუათ: კაცთაგან, გუეშინის ერისა ამის, რამეთუ ყოველთა იცოდეს იოვანე, ვითარმედ ჭეშმარიტად წინაჲსწარმეტყუელი იყო.

But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.

καὶ ἀποκριθέντες τῷ Ἰησοῦ λέγουσιν Οὐκ οἴδαμεν. καὶ ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς Οὐδὲ ἐγὼ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ.

Et respondentes dicunt Jesu: Nescimus. Et respondens Jesus ait illis: Neque ego dico vobis in qua potestate hæc faciam.

33 და მიუგეს და ჰრქუეს მათ იესუს: არა ვიცით. და მიუგო მათ იესუ და ჰრქუა: არცა მე გითხრა თქუენ, რომლითა ჴელმწიფებითა ამას ვიქმ.

And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
