NoteIn the copy examined there is inserted a short notice from The Times, non dated, but with reference to the authors as having "long since passed away", which informs that the authors were "Dr. Porter, of Bristol, and the widow of the late Colonel Booth, jointly" and that Jane Porter was asked to edit the book "to insure a favourable reception by the public".
