Τοῦ δὲ Ἰησοῦ γεννηθέντος ἐν Βηθλεὲμ τῆς Ἰουδαίας ἐν ἡμέραις Ἡρῴδου τοῦ βασιλέως, ἰδοὺ μάγοι ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν παρεγένοντο εἰς Ἰεροσόλυμα λέγοντες 
Cum autem natus esset Iesus in Bethlehem Iudaeae in diebus Herodis regis, ecce Magi ab oriente venerunt Hierosolymam 
1 ხოლო იესუჲს შობასა ბეთლემს ჰურიასტანისასა, დღეთა ჰეროდე მეფისათა, აჰა მოგუნი აღმოსავალით მოვიდეს იერუსალჱმდ და იტყოდეს: 
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 
Ποῦ ἐστὶν ὁ τεχθεὶς βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων; εἴδομεν γὰρ αὐτοῦ τὸν ἀστέρα ἐν τῇ ἀνατολῇ καὶ ἤλθομεν προσκυνῆσαι αὐτῷ. 
dicentes: “Ubi est, qui natus est, rex Iudaeorum? Vidimus enim stellam eius in oriente et venimus adorare eum”. 
2 სადა არს, რომელი-იგი იშვა მეუფე ჰურიათაჲ? რამეთუ ვიხილეთ ვარსკულავი მისი აღმოსავალით და მოვედით თაყუანის-ცემად მისა. 
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. 
Ἀκούσας δὲ ὁ βασιλεὺς Ἡρῴδης ἐταράχθη καὶ πᾶσα Ἰεροσόλυμα μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ, 
Audiens autem Herodes rex turbatus est et omnis Hierosolyma cum illo; 
3 ვითარცა ესმა ესე ჰეროდეს მეფესა, შეძრწუნდა, და ყოველი იერუსალჱმი მის თანა. 
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 
καὶ συναγαγὼν πάντας τοὺς ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ γραμματεῖς τοῦ λαοῦ ἐπυνθάνετο παρ᾽ αὐτῶν ποῦ ὁ χριστὸς γεννᾶται. 
et congregans omnes principes sacerdotum et scribas populi, sciscitabatur ab eis ubi Christus nasceretur. 
4 და შეკრიბნა ყოველნი მღდელთმოძღუარნი და მწიგნობარნი ერისანი და იკითხვიდა მათგან: სადა უკუე შობად არს ქრისტე? 
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. 
οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Ἐν Βηθλεὲμ τῆς Ἰουδαίας: οὕτως γὰρ γέγραπται διὰ τοῦ προφήτου 
At illi dixerunt ei: “In Bethlehem Iudaeae. Sic enim scriptum est per prophetam: 
5 ხოლო მათ ჰრქუეს მას: ბეთლემს ჰურიასტანისასა, რამეთუ ესრეთ წერილ არს წინასწარმეტყუელისა მიერ: 
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, 
“ Καὶ σύ, Βηθλεὲμ γῆ Ἰούδα, οὐδαμῶς ἐλαχίστη εἶ ἐν τοῖς ἡγεμόσιν Ἰούδα: ἐκ σοῦ γὰρ ἐξελεύσεται ἡγούμενος, ὅστις ποιμανεῖ τὸν λαόν μου τὸν Ἰσραήλ.” 
"Et tu, Bethlehem terra Iudae, nequaquam minima es in principibus Iudae; ex te enim exiet dux, qui reget populum meum Israel"”. 
6 და შენ, ბეთლემ, ქუეყანაჲ ეგე იუდაჲსი, არასადა უმრწემეს ხარ მთავართა შორის იუდაჲსთა, რამეთუ შენგან გამოვიდეს წინამძღუარი, რომელმან დამწყსოს ერი ჩემი ისრაჱლი. 
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. 
Τότε Ἡρῴδης λάθρᾳ καλέσας τοὺς μάγους ἠκρίβωσεν παρ᾽ αὐτῶν τὸν χρόνον τοῦ φαινομένου ἀστέρος, 
Tunc Herodes, clam vocatis Magis, diligenter didicit ab eis tempus stellae, quae apparuit eis; 
7 მაშინ ჰეროდე იდუმალ მოუწოდა მოგუთა მათ და გამოიკითხა მათგან ჟამი იგი გამოჩინებულისა მის ვარსკულავისაჲ. 
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 
καὶ πέμψας αὐτοὺς εἰς Βηθλεὲμ εἶπεν Πορευθέντες ἐξετάσατε ἀκριβῶς περὶ τοῦ παιδίου: ἐπὰν δὲ εὕρητε ἀπαγγείλατέ μοι, ὅπως κἀγὼ ἐλθὼν προσκυνήσω αὐτῷ. 
et mittens illos in Bethlehem dixit: “Ite et interrogate diligenter de puero; et cum inveneritis, renuntiate mihi, ut et ego veniens adorem eum”. 
8 და წარავლინნა იგინი ბეთლემდ და ჰრქუა: მოვედით და გამოიკითხეთ ჭეშმარიტად ყრმისა მისთჳს და რაჟამს ჰპოოთ იგი, მითხართ მე, რაჲთა მეცა მივიდე და თაყუანის-ვსცე მას. 
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. 
οἱ δὲ ἀκούσαντες τοῦ βασιλέως ἐπορεύθησαν, καὶ ἰδοὺ ὁ ἀστὴρ ὃν εἶδον ἐν τῇ ἀνατολῇ προῆγεν αὐτούς, ἕως ἐλθὼν ἐστάθη ἐπάνω οὗ ἦν τὸ παιδίον. 
Qui cum audissent regem, abierunt. Et ecce stella, quam viderant in oriente, antecedebat eos, usque dum veniens staret supra, ubi erat puer. 
9 ხოლო მათ ვითარცა ესმა ესე მეფისა მისგან, წარვიდეს. და აჰა ვარსკულავი იგი, რომელი იხილეს აღმოსავალით, წინა-უძღოდა მათ, ვიდრემდე მოვიდა და დაადგრა ადგილსა მას, რომელსა იყო ყრმაჲ იგი. 
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 
ἰδόντες δὲ τὸν ἀστέρα ἐχάρησαν χαρὰν μεγάλην σφόδρα. 
Videntes autem stellam gavisi sunt gaudio magno valde. 
10 ხოლო მათ ვითარცა იხილეს ვარსკულავი იგი, განიხარეს სიხარულითა დიდითა ფრიად. 
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 
καὶ ἐλθόντες εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν εἶδον τὸ παιδίον μετὰ Μαρίας τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ, καὶ πεσόντες προσεκύνησαν αὐτῷ, καὶ ἀνοίξαντες τοὺς θησαυροὺς αὐτῶν προσήνεγκαν αὐτῷ δῶρα, χρυσὸν καὶ λίβανον καὶ σμύρναν. 
Et intrantes domum viderunt puerum cum Maria matre eius, et procidentes adoraverunt eum; et apertis thesauris suis, obtulerunt ei munera, aurum et tus et myrrham. 
11 და ვითარცა შევიდეს სახლსა მას, იხილეს ყრმაჲ იგი მარიამის თანა, დედისა თჳსისა, და დავარდეს და თაყუანის-სცეს მას; და აღაღეს საუნჯეთა მათთა და შეწირეს მისა ძღუენი: ოქროჲ, გუნდრუკი და მური. 
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh. 
καὶ χρηματισθέντες κατ᾽ ὄναρ μὴ ἀνακάμψαι πρὸς Ἡρῴδην δι᾽ ἄλλης ὁδοῦ ἀνεχώρησαν εἰς τὴν χώραν αὐτῶν. 
Et responso accepto in somnis, ne redirent ad Herodem, per aliam viam reversi sunt in regionem suam. 
12 და მოიღეს ბრძანებაჲ ჩუენებით, რაჲთა არა მიაქციონ ჰეროდესა, არამედ სხჳთ გზით წარვიდენ სოფლად თჳსა. 
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. 
Ἀναχωρησάντων δὲ αὐτῶν ἰδοὺ ἄγγελος Κυρίου φαίνεται κατ᾽ ὄναρ τῷ Ἰωσὴφ λέγων Ἐγερθεὶς παράλαβε τὸ παιδίον καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ φεῦγε εἰς Αἴγυπτον, καὶ ἴσθι ἐκεῖ ἕως ἂν εἴπω σοι: μέλλει γὰρ Ἡρῴδης ζητεῖν τὸ παιδίον τοῦ ἀπολέσαι αὐτό. 
Qui cum recessissent, ecce angelus Domini apparet in somnis Ioseph dicens: “Surge et accipe puerum et matrem eius et fuge in Aegyptum et esto ibi, usque dum dicam tibi; futurum est enim ut Herodes quaerat puerum ad perdendum eum”. 
13 და ვითარცა განეშორნეს იგინი, აჰა ანგელოზი უფლისაჲ გამოუჩნდა ჩუენებით იოსებს და ჰრქუა: აღდეგ და წარიყვანე ყრმაჲ ეგე და დედაჲ მაგისი და ივლტოდე ეგჳპტედ და იყავ მუნ, ვიდრემდე გრქუა შენ, რამეთუ ეგულების ჰეროდეს მოძიებად ყრმისა მაგის და წარწყმედად ეგე. 
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. 
ὁ δὲ ἐγερθεὶς παρέλαβε τὸ παιδίον καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ νυκτὸς καὶ ἀνεχώρησεν εἰς Αἴγυπτον, καὶ ἦν ἐκεῖ ἕως τῆς τελευτῆς Ἡρῴδου: 
Qui consurgens accepit puerum et matrem eius nocte et recessit in Aegyptum 
14 ხოლო იგი აღდგა და წარიყვანა ყრმაჲ იგი და დედაჲ მისი ღამე და წარვიდა ეგჳპტედ და იყო მუნ, ვიდრე აღსრულებადმდე ჰეროდესა. 
14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: 
ἵνα πληρωθῇ τὸ ῥηθὲν ὑπὸ Κυρίου διὰ τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος “Ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἐκάλεσα τὸν υἱόν μου”. 
et erat ibi usque ad obitum Herodis, ut adimpleretur, quod dictum est a Domino per prophetam dicentem: “Ex Aegypto vocavi filium meum”. 
15 რაჲთა აღესრულოს სიტყუაჲ იგი უფლისაჲ, თქუმული წინაჲსწარმეტყუელისა მიერ: ეგვიპტით უწოდე ძესა ჩემსა. 
15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. 
Τότε Ἡρῴδης ἰδὼν ὅτι ἐνεπαίχθη ὑπὸ τῶν μάγων ἐθυμώθη λίαν, καὶ ἀποστείλας ἀνεῖλεν πάντας τοὺς παῖδας τοὺς ἐν Βηθλεὲμ καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ὁρίοις αὐτῆς ἀπὸ διετοῦς καὶ κατωτέρω, κατὰ τὸν χρόνον ὃν ἠκρίβωσεν παρὰ τῶν μάγων. 
Tunc Herodes videns quoniam illusus esset a Magis, iratus est valde et mittens occidit omnes pueros, qui erant in Bethlehem et in omnibus finibus eius, a bimatu et infra, secundum tempus, quod exquisierat a Magis. 
16 მაშინ ვითარცა იხილა ჰეროდე, რამეთუ მოიკიცხა მოგუთა მათგან, განრისხნა ფრიად, წარავლინნა და მოსწყჳდა ყოველი ყრმები, რომელნი იყვნეს ბეთლემს და ყოველთა საზღვართა მისთა ორით წლითგანი და უდარესი, მსგავსად მის ჟამისა, ვითარცა გამოიკითხა მოგუთა მათგან. 
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. 
Τότε ἐπληρώθη τὸ ῥηθὲν διὰ Ἰερεμίου τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος 
Tunc adimpletum est, quod dictum est per Ieremiam prophetam dicentem: 
17 მაშინ აღესრულა თქუმული იგი იერემია წინასწარმეტყუელისაჲ, რომელსა იტყჳს: 
17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, 
“ φωνὴ ἐν Ῥαμὰ ἠκούσθη, κλαυθμὸς καὶ ὀδυρμὸς πολύς: Ῥαχὴλ κλαίουσα τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς, καὶ οὐκ ἤθελεν παρακληθῆναι ὅτι οὐκ εἰσίν.” 
“Vox in Rama audita est, ploratus et ululatus multus: Rachel plorans filios suos, et noluit consolari, quia non sunt”. 
18 ჴმაჲ ჰრამაჲთ ისმა გოდებისა და ტირილისა და ტყებისაჲ მრავალი; რაქელ სტიროდა შვილთა თჳსთა და არა უნდა ნუგეშინის-ცემის, რამეთუ არა არიან. 
18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not. 
Τελευτήσαντος δὲ τοῦ Ἡρῴδου ἰδοὺ ἄγγελος Κυρίου φαίνεται κατ᾽ ὄναρ τῷ Ἰωσὴφ ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ 
Defuncto autem Herode, ecce apparet angelus Domini in somnis Ioseph in Aegypto 
19 ხოლო რაჟამს აღესრულა ჰეროდე, აჰა ანგელოზი უფლისაჲ გამოეცხადა ჩუენებით იოსებს ეგჳპტეს 
19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 
λέγων Ἐγερθεὶς παράλαβε τὸ παιδίον καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ πορεύου εἰς γῆν Ἰσραήλ, τεθνήκασιν γὰρ οἱ ζητοῦντες τὴν ψυχὴν τοῦ παιδίου. 
dicens: “Surge et accipe puerum et matrem eius et vade in terram Israel; defuncti sunt enim, qui quaerebant animam pueri”. 
20 და ჰრქუა: აღდეგ და წარიყვანე ყრმაჲ ეგე და დედაჲ მაგისი და წარვედ ქუეყანად ისრაჱლისა, რამეთუ მოსწყდეს, რომელნი ეძიებდეს სულსა მაგის ყრმისასა. 
20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life. 
ὁ δὲ ἐγερθεὶς παρέλαβε τὸ παιδίον καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς γῆν Ἰσραήλ. 
Qui surgens accepit puerum et matrem eius et venit in terram Israel. 
21 ხოლო იგი აღდგა და წარმოიყვანა ყრმაჲ იგი და დედაჲ მისი და მოვიდა ქუეყანად ისრაჱლისა. 
21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. 
ἀκούσας δὲ ὅτι Ἀρχέλαος βασιλεύει τῆς Ἰουδαίας ἀντὶ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ Ἡρῴδου ἐφοβήθη ἐκεῖ ἀπελθεῖν: χρηματισθεὶς δὲ κατ᾽ ὄναρ ἀνεχώρησεν εἰς τὰ μέρη τῆς Γαλιλαίας, 
Audiens autem quia Archelaus regnaret in Iudaea pro Herode patre suo, timuit illuc ire; et admonitus in somnis, secessit in partes Galilaeae 
22 და ვითარცა ესმა, რამეთუ არქელაოს მეფობს ჰურიასტანს ჰეროდეს წილ, მამისა თჳსისა, შეეშინა მისლვად მუნ და ბრძანებაჲ მოიღო ჩუენებით და წარვიდა კერძოთა გალილეაჲსათა. 
22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: 
καὶ ἐλθὼν κατῴκησεν εἰς πόλιν λεγομένην Ναζαρέτ, ὅπως πληρωθῇ τὸ ῥηθὲν διὰ τῶν προφητῶν ὅτι Ναζωραῖος κληθήσεται. 
et veniens habitavit in civitate, quae vocatur Nazareth, ut adimpleretur, quod dictum est per Prophetas: “Nazaraeus vocabitur”. 
23 და მივიდა და დაეშენა ქალაქსა შინა, რომელსა ჰრქჳან ნაზარეთ, რაჲთა აღესრულოს თქუმული წინასწარმეტყუელისა მიერ, ვითარმედ: ნაზარეველ ეწოდოს. 
23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
