Ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ ἤκουσεν Ἡρῴδης ὁ τετραάρχης τὴν ἀκοὴν Ἰησοῦ,

In illo tempore audivit He rodes tetrarcha famam Iesu

1 მას ჟამსა შინა ესმა ჰეროდეს, ოთხთა მათ სამთავროთა მთავარსა, ჰამბავი იესუჲსი,

1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,

καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς παισὶν αὐτοῦ Οὗτός ἐστιν Ἰωάνης ὁ βαπτιστής: αὐτὸς ἠγέρθη ἀπὸ τῶν νεκρῶν, καὶ διὰ τοῦτο αἱ δυνάμεις ἐνεργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτῷ.

et ait pueris suis: “Hic est Ioannes Baptista; ipse surrexit a mortuis, et ideo virtutes operantur in eo”.

2 და ჰრქუა მონათა თჳსთა: ესე არს იოვანე ნათლის-მცემელი, იგი აღდგომილ არს მკუდრეთით, და მისთჳს იქმნებიან ძალნი ესე მის თანა.

2 And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

Ὁ γὰρ Ἡρῴδης κρατήσας τὸν Ἰωάνην ἔδησεν καὶ ἐν φυλακῇ ἀπέθετο διὰ Ἡρῳδιάδα τὴν γυναῖκα Φιλίππου τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ,

Herodes enim tenuit Ioannem et alligavit eum et posuit in carcere propter Herodiadem uxorem Philippi fratris sui.

3 რამეთუ ამან ჰეროდე შეიპყრა იოვანე და შებორკილა იგი და საპყრობილესა შეაყენა ჰეროდიაჲსთჳს, ცოლისა ფილიპეს, ძმისა თჳსისა.

3 For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.

ἔλεγεν γὰρ ὁ Ἰωάνης αὐτῷ Οὐκ ἔξεστίν σοι ἔχειν αὐτήν:

Dicebat enim illi Ioannes: “Non licet tibi habere eam”.

4 რამეთუ ეტყოდა მას იოვანე, ვითარმედ: არა ჯერ-არს შენდა, ვითარმცა გესუა იგი ცოლად.

4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.

καὶ θέλων αὐτὸν ἀποκτεῖναι ἐφοβήθη τὸν ὄχλον, ὅτι ὡς προφήτην αὐτὸν εἶχον.

Et volens illum occidere, timuit populum, quia sicut prophetam eum habebant.

5 და უნდა ღათუ მისი მოკლვაჲ, არამედ ეშინოდა ერისა მის, რამეთუ ვითარცა წინაწარმეტყუელი ეპყრა მათ იგი.

5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.

γενεσίοις δὲ γενομένοις τοῦ Ἡρῴδου ὠρχήσατο ἡ θυγάτηρ τῆς Ἡρῳδιάδος ἐν τῷ μέσῳ καὶ ἤρεσεν τῷ Ἡρῴδῃ,

Die autem natalis Herodis saltavit filia Herodiadis in medio et placuit Herodi,

6 და ვითარცა შობისა დღენი იყვნეს ჰეროდესნი, როკვიდა ასული ჰეროდიაჲსი შორის, და სთნდა ჰეროდეს როკვაჲ იგი მისი.

6 But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.

ὅθεν μετὰ ὅρκου ὡμολόγησεν αὐτῇ δοῦναι ὃ ἐὰν αἰτήσηται.

unde cum iuramento pollicitus est ei dare, quodcumque postulasset.

7 რომლისათჳს ფიცით აღუთქუა მას მიცემად, რაჲცა ითხოვოს.

7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.

ἡ δὲ προβιβασθεῖσα ὑπὸ τῆς μητρὸς αὐτῆς Δός μοι, φησίν, ὧδε ἐπὶ πίνακι τὴν κεφαλὴν Ἰωάνου τοῦ βαπτιστοῦ.

At illa, praemonita a matre sua: “Da mihi, inquit, hic in disco caput Ioannis Baptistae”.

8 ხოლო იგი წინაჲსწარ ბირებულ იყო დედისაგან თჳსისა და ჰრქუა: მომეც მე აქა ლანკნითა თავი იოვანესი, ნათლის-მცემელისაჲ.

8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.

καὶ λυπηθεὶς ὁ βασιλεὺς διὰ τοὺς ὅρκους καὶ τοὺς συνανακειμένους ἐκέλευσεν δοθῆναι,

Et contristatus rex propter iuramentum et eos, qui pariter recumbebant, iussit dari

9 და შე-ღავე-წუხნა მეფე იგი, არამედ ფიცისა მისთჳს და მის თანა მეინაჴეთა ბრძანა მიცემად იგი მას.

9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

καὶ πέμψας ἀπεκεφάλισεν Ἰωάνην ἐν τῇ φυλακῇ:

misitque et decollavit Ioannem in carcere;

10 და მიავლინა იგი და მოჰკუეთა თავი იოვანესი საპყრობილესა შინა.

10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.

καὶ ἠνέχθη ἡ κεφαλὴ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ πίνακι καὶ ἐδόθη τῷ κορασίῳ, καὶ ἤνεγκεν τῇ μητρὶ αὐτῆς.

et allatum est caput eius in disco et datum est puellae, et tulit matri suae.

11 და მოართუეს თავი მისი ლანკნითა და მისცეს ქალსა მას, და მან მიართუა დედასა თჳსსა.

11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

Καὶ προσελθόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἦραν τὸ πτῶμα καὶ ἔθαψαν αὐτόν, καὶ ἐλθόντες ἀπήγγειλαν τῷ Ἰησοῦ.

Et accedentes discipuli eius tulerunt corpus et sepelierunt illud et venientes nuntiaverunt Iesu.

12 და მოვიდეს მოწაფენი მისნი და წარიღეს გუამი მისი და დაჰფლეს იგი და მოვიდეს და უთხრეს იესუს.

12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

Ἀκούσας δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἀνεχώρησεν ἐκεῖθεν ἐν πλοίῳ εἰς ἔρημον τόπον κατ᾽ ἰδίαν: καὶ ἀκούσαντες οἱ ὄχλοι ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ πεζῇ ἀπὸ τῶν πόλεων.

Quod cum audisset Iesus, secessit inde in navicula in locum desertum seorsum; et cum audissent, turbae secutae sunt eum pedestres de civitatibus.

13 ესმა რაჲ ესე იესუს, განეშორა მიერ ნავითა და წარვიდა უდაბნოსა ადგილსა თჳსაგან. და ვითარცა ესმა ერსა მას, მისდევდეს მას მკჳრცხლ ქალაქებისაგან.

13 When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

Καὶ ἐξελθὼν εἶδεν πολὺν ὄχλον, καὶ ἐσπλαγχνίσθη ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν τοὺς ἀρρώστους αὐτῶν.

Et exiens vidit turbam multam et misertus est eorum et curavit languidos eorum.

14 და გამოვიდა იესუ და იხილა ერი მრავალი და შეეწყალნეს იგინი და განკურნა სნეულნი მათნი.

14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης προσῆλθαν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ λέγοντες Ἔρημός ἐστιν ὁ τόπος καὶ ἡ ὥρα ἤδη παρῆλθεν: ἀπόλυσον τοὺς ὄχλους, ἵνα ἀπελθόντες εἰς τὰς κώμας ἀγοράσωσιν ἑαυτοῖς βρώματα.

Vespere autem facto, accesserunt ad eum discipuli dicentes: “Desertus est locus, et hora iam praeteriit; dimitte turbas, ut euntes in castella emant sibi escas”.

15 და ვითარცა შემწუხრდა, მოუჴდეს მოწაფენი მისნი და ჰრქუეს მას: უდაბნო არს ადგილი ესე, და ჟამი გარდასრულ არს; განუტევე ერი ესე, რაჲთა წარვიდენ გარემო დაბნებსა და იყიდონ თავისა თჳსისა საზრდელი.

15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν ἀπελθεῖν: δότε αὐτοῖς ὑμεῖς φαγεῖν.

Iesus autem dixit eis: “Non habent necesse ire; date illis vos manducare”.

16 ხოლო იესუ ჰრქუა მათ: არა უჴმს მათ წარსლვაჲ; თქუენ ეცით მაგათ ჭამადი.

16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

οἱ δὲ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Οὐκ ἔχομεν ὧδε εἰ μὴ πέντε ἄρτους καὶ δύο ἰχθύας.

Illi autem dicunt ei: “Non habemus hic nisi quinque panes et duos pisces”.

17 ხოლო მათ ჰრქუეს მას: არა გუაქუს აქა, გარნა ხუთი პური და ორი თევზი.

17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν Φέρετέ μοι ὧδε αὐτούς.

Qui ait: “Afferte illos mihi huc”.

18 ჰრქუა მათ იესუ: მომართჳთ მე იგი აქა!

18 He said, Bring them hither to me.

καὶ κελεύσας τοὺς ὄχλους ἀνακλιθῆναι ἐπὶ τοῦ χόρτου, λαβὼν τοὺς πέντε ἄρτους καὶ τοὺς δύο ἰχθύας, ἀναβλέψας εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν εὐλόγησεν καὶ κλάσας ἔδωκεν τοῖς μαθηταῖς τοὺς ἄρτους οἱ δὲ μαθηταὶ τοῖς ὄχλοις.

Et cum iussisset turbas discumbere supra fenum, acceptis quinque panibus et duobus piscibus, aspiciens in caelum benedixit et fregit et dedit discipulis panes, discipuli autem turbis.

19 და უბრძანა ერსა მას დასხდომაჲ თივასა ზედა. და მოიღო ხუთი იგი პური და ორი თევზი, აღიხილნა ზეცად და აკურთხა და განტეხა და მისცნა პურნი იგი მოწაფეთა თჳსთა, და მოწაფეთა მათ მისცეს ერსა მას.

19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

καὶ ἔφαγον πάντες καὶ ἐχορτάσθησαν, καὶ ἦραν τὸ περισσεῦον τῶν κλασμάτων δώδεκα κοφίνους πλήρεις.

Et manducaverunt omnes et saturati sunt; et tulerunt reliquias fragmentorum duodecim cophinos plenos.

20 და ჭამეს ყოველთა და განძღეს; და აღიღეს ნეშტი ნამუსრევი ათორმეტი გოდორი სავსე.

20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

οἱ δὲ ἐσθίοντες ἦσαν ἄνδρες ὡσεὶ πεντακισχίλιοι χωρὶς γυναικῶν καὶ παιδίων.

Manducantium autem fuit numerus fere quinque milia virorum, exceptis mulieribus et parvulis.

21 ხოლო იყვნეს, რომელთა-იგი ჭამეს, მამანი ხოლო ხუთ ათას, თჳნიერ ყრმებისა და დედებისა.

21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Καὶ εὐθέως ἠνάγκασεν τοὺς μαθητὰς ἐμβῆναι εἰς πλοῖον καὶ προάγειν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ πέραν, ἕως οὗ ἀπολύσῃ τοὺς ὄχλους.

Et statim iussit discipulos ascendere in naviculam et praecedere eum trans fretum, donec dimitteret turbas.

22 და მეყსეულად აიძულა მოწაფეთა შესლვად ნავსა და წინა-წარძღუანვად მისა წიაღკერძო, ვიდრემდე განუტეოს ერი იგი.

22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

καὶ ἀπολύσας τοὺς ὄχλους ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος κατ᾽ ἰδίαν προσεύξασθαι. ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης μόνος ἦν ἐκεῖ.

Et dimissis turbis, ascendit in montem solus orare. Vespere autem facto, solus erat ibi.

23 და ვითარცა განუტევა ერი იგი, აღვიდა მთასა ლოცვად თჳსაგან. და შე-რაჲ-მწუხრდა, მარტოჲ იყო მუნ.

23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Τὸ δὲ πλοῖον ἤδη σταδίους πολλοὺς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἀπεῖχεν, βασανιζόμενον ὑπὸ τῶν κυμάτων, ἦν γὰρ ἐναντίος ὁ ἄνεμος.

Navicula autem iam multis stadiis a terra distabat, fluctibus iactata; erat enim contrarius ventus.

24 ხოლო ნავი იგი განშორებულ იყო ქუეყანით მრავალ უტევან და იგუემებოდა ღელვათაგან, რამეთუ იყო ქარი იგი პირით კერძო.

24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

Τετάρτῃ δὲ φυλακῇ τῆς νυκτὸς ἦλθεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς περιπατῶν ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν.

Quarta autem vigilia noctis venit ad eos ambulans supra mare.

25 და მეოთხესა საჴუმილავსა ღამისასა მოვიდა მათა იესუ სლვით ზღუასა მას ზედა.

25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

οἱ δὲ μαθηταὶ ἰδόντες αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τῆς θαλάσσης περιπατοῦντα ἐταράχθησαν λέγοντες ὅτι Φάντασμά ἐστιν, καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ φόβου ἔκραξαν.

Discipuli autem, videntes eum supra mare ambulantem, turbati sunt dicentes: “Phantasma est”, et prae timore clamaverunt.

26 ხოლო მოწაფეთა ვითარცა იხილეს, ვიდოდა რაჲ ზღუასა მას ზედა, შეძრწუნდეს და თქუეს: ვითარმედ: საოცარ რაჲმე არს, და შიშისაგან ღაღად-ყვეს.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

εὐθὺς δὲ ἐλάλησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς αὐτοῖς λέγων Θαρσεῖτε, ἐγώ εἰμι: μὴ φοβεῖσθε.

Statimque Iesus locutus est eis dicens: “Habete fiduciam, ego sum; nolite timere!”.

27 მეყსეულად ეტყოდა მათ იესუ და ჰრქუა: კადნიერ იყვენით, მე ვარ, ნუ გეშინინ!

27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Πέτρος εἶπεν αὐτῷ Κύριε, εἰ σὺ εἶ, κέλευσόν με ἐλθεῖν πρὸς σὲ ἐπὶ τὰ ὕδατα:

Respondens autem ei Petrus dixit: “Domine, si tu es, iube me venire ad te super aquas”.

28 მიუგო პეტრე და ჰრქუა მას: უფალო, უკეთუ შენ ხარ, მიბრძანე მე მისლვად შენდა წყალთა ამათ ზედა.

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν Ἐλθέ. καὶ καταβὰς ἀπὸ τοῦ πλοίου Πέτρος περιεπάτησεν ἐπὶ τὰ ὕδατα καὶ ἦλθεν πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν.

At ipse ait: “Veni!”. Et descendens Petrus de navicula ambulavit super aquas et venit ad Iesum.

29 ხოლო მან ჰრქუა: მოვედ! და გარდამოვიდა პეტრე ნავით და ვიდოდა წყალთა მათ ზედა და მოვიდოდა იესუჲსა.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

βλέπων δὲ τὸν ἄνεμον ἐφοβήθη, καὶ ἀρξάμενος καταποντίζεσθαι ἔκραξεν λέγων Κύριε, σῶσόν με.

Videns vero ventum validum timuit et, cum coepisset mergi, clamavit dicens: “Domine, salvum me fac!”.

30 და ვითარცა იხილა ქარი იგი ძლიერი, შეეშინა და იწყო დანთქმად, ღაღად-ყო და თქუა: უფალო მიჴსენ მე!

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

εὐθέως δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα ἐπελάβετο αὐτοῦ καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ Ὀλιγόπιστε, εἰς τί ἐδίστασας;

Continuo autem Iesus extendens manum apprehendit eum et ait illi: “Modicae fidei, quare dubitasti?”.

31 და მეყსეულად განყო ჴელი იესუ და უპყრა მას და ჰრქუა: მცირედ-მორწმუნეო, რაჲსა შეორგულდი?

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

καὶ ἀναβάντων αὐτῶν εἰς τὸ πλοῖον ἐκόπασεν ὁ ἄνεμος.

Et cum ascendissent in naviculam, cessavit ventus.

32 და ვითარცა აღვიდეს იგინი ნავსა მას შინა, დაცხრა ქარი იგი.

32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

οἱ δὲ ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ προσεκύνησαν αὐτῷ λέγοντες Ἀληθῶς θεοῦ υἱὸς εἶ.

Qui autem in navicula erant, adoraverunt eum dicentes: “Vere Filius Dei es!”.

33 ხოლო რომელნი-იგი ნავსა მას შინა იყვნეს, მოუჴდეს და თაყუანის-სცეს მას და ეტყოდეს: ჭეშმარიტად ძე ღმრთისაჲ ხარ შენ.

33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Καὶ διαπεράσαντες ἦλθαν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν εἰς Γεννησαρέτ.

Et cum transfretassent, venerunt in terram Gennesaret.

34 და განვიდეს და მივიდეს მიერ ქუეყანასა მას გენესარეთისასა.

34 And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

καὶ ἐπιγνόντες αὐτὸν οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦ τόπου ἐκείνου ἀπέστειλαν εἰς ὅλην τὴν περίχωρον ἐκείνην, καὶ προσήνεγκαν αὐτῷ πάντας τοὺς κακῶς ἔχοντας,

Et cum cognovissent eum viri loci illius, miserunt in universam regionem illam et obtulerunt ei omnes male habentes,

35 და იცნეს იგი კაცთა მათ მის ადგილისათა და წარავლინნეს ყოველსა მას სანახებსა და მოართუეს მას ყოველი ბოროტად ვნებული

35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;

καὶ παρεκάλουν αὐτὸν ἵνα μόνον ἅψωνται τοῦ κρασπέδου τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ: καὶ ὅσοι ἥψαντο διεσώθησαν.

et rogabant eum, ut vel fimbriam vestimenti eius tangerent; et, quicumque tetigerunt, salvi facti sunt.

36 და ევედრებოდეს მას, რაჲთა შე-ხოლო-ახონ ფესუსა სამოსლისა მისისასა. და რაოდენთა შეახეს, ცხონდეს.

36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
