4.1-2: θātiy Dārayavauš xšāyaθiya ima taya manā kạrtam [Bābirauv] 
Darius the King says: This (is) what was done by me in Babylon. 
40. a-ak dišda-ri-ia-ma-u-iš dišLUGAL na-an#-ri hi dišu2 ba-bi3-[li ...] x [hu-ut-ta2] 
And Darius the king says: This is what I accomplished in Babylon. 
dišda-ri-ia-muš LUGAL ki-a-am i-qab-bi a-ga-a ša2 ana-ku ina E-KI e-pu-šu2 
4.2-7: θātiy Dārayavauš xšāyaθiya ima taya adam akunavam vašnā Auramazdāha hamahạyāyā θarda pasāva yaθā xšāyaθiya abavam XIX hamaranā akunavam vašnā Auramazdāha adamšiš ajanam utā IX xšāyaθiyā agạrbāyam 
Darius the King says: This (is) what I did by the favour of Ahuramazda in one and the same year after that I became king. 19 battles I fought. By the favour of Ahuramazda I defeated them and seized 9 kings. (i) 
41a. [a-ak diš]da#-ri-ia-ma-u-iš dišLUGAL na-an-ri hi ap-pa dišu2 hu-ut-ta2 pe3-ul ki#-ma za-u-mi-in du-ra-[maš]-da#-[na diš]u2# [hu-ut-ta2 ku-iš dišLUGAL-me] hu-ut-ta2 1(u) 9(diš) pe3-ut hu-ut-ta2 za-u-mi-in du-ra-maš-da-na dišu2 ap-pi-in hal-pi-ia a-ak 9(diš) diš[LUGAL-ip diš]u2# ma-u-[ri-ia ki]-ir 
And Darius the king says: This is what I accomplished (by) the intercession of Ahuramazda; one year after that I held kingship. (I) did 19 battles. (By) the intercession of Ahuramazda, I killed them and seized 9 kings: 
dišda-ri-ia-muš LUGAL ki-a-am i-qab-bi a-ga-a ša2 ana-ku (90) e-pu-šu2 ina GISSU ša2 du2-ra-ma-az-da [ina] 1(diš)-et MU-AN-NA ar2-ki sa2 a-na-ku LUGAL at-tu-ru 1(u) 9(diš) ṣa-la-a-tu4 a-na-ku e-te-pu-uš [ina] GISSU [ša2] du2-ra-ma-az-da a-na-ku ad-du-uk-šu2-nu-tu2 a-na-ku 9(diš) LUGAL-MEŠ-šu2-nu uṣ-ṣab-bit 
4.7-10: I Gaumāta nāma maguš [hauv] adurujiya avaθā aθaha adam Bạrdiya amiy [haya] Kurauš puça hauv Pārsam hamiçiyam akunauš 
One was a Magus, Gaumâta by name. He lied; thus he said, "I am Smerdis, the son of Cyrus." He made Persia rebellious. 
41b. diškam-ma-ad-da hi-še dišma-ku-iš ti-tuk-ka4 na-an-ri dišu2 dišbir3-ti-ia DUMU ku-raš2-na hu-pir2#-[ri dišpar2-šipx(Eš) pe3]-ip-[taš 
A Gaumata by name, a magus, lied (and) said: I am Smerdis the son of Cyrus. He caused the Persians to rebel 
dišgu-ma-a-tu2 šu-um-šu2 lu2ma-gu-šu2 šu-u2 up-tar-ri-iṣ i-qab-bi um-ma (91) a-na-ku dišbar-zi-ia2 DUMU-šu2 ša2 dišku-ra-aš2 LUGAL kurpar-su u kurma-da-a-a ut-tak-kir 
4.10-12: I Āçina nāma Ūvjiya hauv adurujiya avaθā [aθaha adam] xšāyaθiya amiy Ūvjaiy hauv Ūvjam hamiçiyam akunauš 
(ii) One (was) an Elamite, Âssina by name. He lied; thus he said, "I am the King in Elam." He made Elam rebellious to me. 
41c. a-ak dišha]-ši-na hi-še dišha-tam-tar-ra hu-pir2-ri dišha-tam-ti-ip ap-pi-in pe3-ip-taš#-ša2 na-an-ri dišLUGAL-me diš[ha-tam-tup-na] dišu2 [hu-ut-ta2 ma-ra 
and Hašina by name, an Elamite, caused these Elamites to rebel and said: I held kingship of the Elamites 
dišat-ri-na-a' šu-um-šu2 lu2NIM-MAki-a-a šu-u up-[tar]-ri-iṣ i-qab-bi um-ma a-na-ku LUGAL kurELAM-MAki šu-u kurELAM-MAki ut-tak-kir3 
4.12-15: [I] Niditabaira nāma Bābiruviya hauv adurujiya avaθā aθaha adam Nabukudracara [amiy] haya Nabunaitahạya puça hauv Bābirum hamiçiyam akunauš 
(iii) One (was) a Babylonian, Nidintu-Bel by name. He lied; thus he said, "I am Nebuchadrezzar, the son of Nabonidus." He made Babylon rebellious. 
41d. a]-ak# dišnu-ti-ut-be-ul hi-še dišba-bi3-li ir ki-ir ti-tuk-ka4 na-an-ri dišu2 dišnab-[ku]-tur-ru-sir DUMU na-bu-ni-da-na [hu]-pir2-ri# [dišba-bi3-li]-ip pe3-ip-ti-iš 
and Nidintu-Bēl by name, a Babylonian, lied (and) said: I am Nebuchadnezzar, the son of Nabonidus. He caused the Babylonians to rebel 
dišni-din-tu4-dEN šu-um-šu2 lu2E-KI-a-a šu-u up-tar-ri-iṣ i-qab-bi um-ma ana-ku dišdmuati-nig2-du-uri3 (92) DUMU-šu2 ša2 dišdmuati-ni2-tuk LUGAL E-KI šu-u babilax(|DIN.TIR|)ki ut-tak-kir 
4.15-18: I Martiya nāma Pārsa hauv adurujiya avaθā aθaha adam Imaniš amiy Ūvjaiy xšāyaθiya hauv Ūvjam hamiçiyam akunauš 
(iv) One (was) a Persian, Martiya by name. He lied; thus he said, "I am Imanish, in Elam the King." He made Elam rebellious. 
41e. a-ak dišmar-ti-ia hi-še dišpar2-šir8 ki-ir ti-tuk-ka4 na-an-ri dišu2 dišum-man-[nu-iš dišLUGAL dišha]-tam-ti#-[ip-na hu-pir2]-ri# dišha-tam-ti-ip pe3-ip-taš 
and Martiya by name, a Persian, lied (and) said: I am Ummannuš, the king of the Elamites. He caused the Elamites to rebel 
dišmar-ti-ia2 šu-um-šu2 lu2par-sa-a-a šu-u up-tar-ri-iṣ i-qab-bi um-ma ana-ku dišim-ma-ni-e-šu2 LUGAL kurELAM-MAki šu-u LU(2)MEŠ kurELAM-MAki ut-tak-kir 
4.18-20: I Fravạrtiš nāma Māda hauv adurujiya avaθā aθaha adam Xšaθrita amiy Uvaxštarahạya taumāyā adam xšāyaθiya amiy Mādaiy hauv Mādam hamiçiyam akunauš 
(v) One (was) a Median, Phraortes by name. He lied; thus he said, "I am Khshathrita of the family of Cyaxares." He made Media rebellious. 
41f. a-ak dišpir2-ru-mar-ti-iš hi-še dišma-da ti#-tuk-ka4 na-an-ri dišu2 [dišša2-ut-tar-ri-ut]-ta2 [dišNUMUN-MEŠ dišma]-ak#-iš-tar-ra-na ma-ra hu-pir2-ri dišma-da-pe3 ap-in pe3-ip-taš 
and Phraortes by, name, a Mede, lied (and) said: I am Šattarida of the family of Cyaxares. He caused the Medes to rebel 
dišpa-ar-mar-ti-iš šu-um-šu2 kurma-da-a-a šu-u up-tar-ri-iṣ i-qab-bi um-ma ana-ku dišha-ša2-at-ri-tu4 (93) NUMUN ša2 dišu2-ma-ku-iš-tar kurma-da-a-a ut-tak-kir3 
4.20-23: I Ciçataxma nāma Asagartiya hauv adurujiya avaθā aθaha adam xšāyaθiya amiy Asagartaiy Uvaxštarahạyā taumāyā hauv Asagartam hamiçiyam akunauš 
(vi) One (was) a Sagartian, Tritantaichmes by name. He lied; thus he said, "I am the King in Sagartia, of the family of Cyaxares." He made Sagartia rebellious. 
41g. a-ak [zi2]-iš-ša2-in-tak-ma hi-še diš[aš2-ša2-kar-ti]-ia#-ra [ti-tuk-ka4 na-an]-ri dišLUGAL-me dišhu-ut-ta2 dišNUMUN-MEŠ dišma-ak-iš-tar-ra-na ma-ra hu-pir2-ri# [diš]aš2-ša2-kar-ti-ia-ip [pe3-ip-taš 
and Zišantakma by name, a Sagartian, lied (and) said: I held kingship. (I am) of the family of Cyaxares. He cause the Sagartians to rebel 
dišši-tir-an-tah-mu šu-um-šu2 lu2sa-ga-ar-ta-a-a šu-u up-tar-ri-iṣ i-[qab]-bi um-ma a-na-ku LUGAL LU2-MEŠ sa-ga-ar-ta-a-a NUMUN ša2 dišu2-ma-ku-iš-tar šu-u LU2-MEŠ sa-ga-ar-ta-a-a ut-tak-kir3 
4.23-26: I Frāda nāma Mārgava hauv adurujiya avaθā aθaha adam xšāyaθiya amiy Margauv hauv Margum hamiçiyam akunauš[ 
(vii) One (was) a Margian, Frada by name, He lied; thus he said, "I am the King in Margiana." He made Margiana rebellious. 
41h. a-ak] dišpir2#-[ra-da hi]-še dišmar-ku-iš-ir-ra ti-tuk-ka4 na-an-ri dišLUGAL-me dišmar-ku-iš-pe3-na dišu2# hu-ut-ta2 hu-pir2-ri diš[mar-ku-iš-pe3 pe3]-ip-[taš 
and Pirrada by name, a Margian, lied (and) said: I held kingship of Margians. He cause the Margians to rebel 
dišpa-ra-da-a' MU-šu2 lu2mar-gu-ma-a-a šu-u (94) up-tar-ri-iṣ i-qab-bi um-ma a-na-ku LUGAL kurmar-gu-u šu-u kurmar-gu-u ut-tak-kir3 
4.26-28: [I] *Vahạyazdāta nāma Pārsa hauv adurujiya avaθā aθaha adam Bạrdiya amiy haya Kurauš puça hauv Pārsam hamiçiyam akunauš 
(viii) One (was) a Persian, Vahyazdata by name. He lied; thus he said, "I am Smerdis, the son of Cyrus.' He made Persia rebellious. 
41i. a-ak dišmi]-iš-da-ad-da hi-še dišpar2-šir8-ra ti-tuk-ka4 na-an-ri dišu2 dišbir3-ti-ia DUMU ku-raš2-na hu-[pir2-ri dišpar2]-šipx(Eš) ap-pi-in [pe3-ip]-taš 
and Mišdada by name, a Persian, lied (and) said: I am Smerdis the son of Cyrus. He caused the Persians to rebel 
dišu2-mi-iz-da-a-tu2 šu-um-šu2 lu2par-sa-a-a šu-u up-tar-ri-iṣ i-qab-bi um-ma a-na-ku dišbar-zi-ia DUMU-šu2 ša2 dišku-ra-aš2 LUGAL kur[par-su] šu-u kurpar-su ut-tak-kir3
